- Every winter Kim spends some time in Bavona trying hard projects and opening new boulders. Bavona is known for a lot of really hard boulders from 8B+ to 8C+ but there are also some slightly easier blocs.
Here you can see some of those "moderates" from 7C up to 8B.

For him these are some "moderate" problems. Nothing wrong with that. I'm sure we all know these coments from newbies in the gym: "It looks so easy when you climb it" - "Because it is in fact easy for me" :)
in no world are these grades “moderate.” if you are bouldering harder than V9 on a consistent basis outdoors, then you are an advanced level climber, period.
In Bavona where 90% of the boulders are 8b+ to 8c+, I think you can call an 8a+ moderate but I totally agree that in general it’s not!
