I can remember you and Ms. Jollina in our old restau in Laguna where you used to order bulalo. (during those days na nag tataope kayo ng loves ko si babes). You ate there not just once. Hehe. But never had a chance to take a picture with both of you. 😢

ui di siya nakinig🤭 pag gusto nga daw tumagal ng bulalo wag haluin un gulay para matago pa raw sa ref un rest ng pinakuluan bulalo un po un ginawa nia kasi po marami nga kaya ayaw nia ihalo un gulay sa pinagkuluan na beef bone.. para daw po tumagal gang 2 weeks si soup.. kasi nga dati ginawa nia hinalo nia at bat daw mabilis mapanis. 😊
Sa akin yung secret ng bulalo o nilaga ko is I do the browning process *AFTER* boiling the meat. In other words, boiled na yung beef tsaka ko ibro.brown. Then put fish sauce while frying the boiled beef. Hindi yung usual na sa soup nilalagay ang fish sauce. I never fail to get complimented on my beef nilaga or bulalo when I do this. Ito lang din kasi specialty ko kaya ginalingan ko na. Hahaha!

Iyong pagluto ko ng bulalo - shank, white onion, onion leeks, whole pepper, and beef cubes. Grabe labas ang lasa ng beef. Then after mapalambot put na ang repolyo, pechay baguio at baguio beans. Kapag kulang sa lasa i'll add patis... Sobrang sarap... hehe kapag kasi may added sweet corn or patatas parang nagiiba ang lasa....

Yah the ginger is to take lansa of the meat. It depends on your tastebuds. Some people love the actual real taste of meat...some doesn’t so they put a very small amount of ginger to it . Or choice of searing with ginger then take it out before continuing your cooking
Try niyo po minsan, imbes na tubig, gamitin nyo po ung pinaghugasan ng bigas "sa" pangalawang beses at pangatlo (kasi ung unang hugas mejo marumi)... nakikita ko lang sa lola ko nung buhay pa sya... :)

Try using the bulalo stock (technically the beef stock) to blanch your veggies, mas yummy and napreserved ung flavor 😁
