I had just commented on how good this printer has been I have printed hundreds of high quality images in large format and after working flawlessly for 6 plus years, I have come to this. If I can't fix it I plan to buy another I believe for what I do, this is best printer ever made. Thank you for sharing this information.
I have the ix6820 printer have not used in about 5 years, head's got clogged black would not print. I found this video followed your cleaning process and it is working better than ever! Thank you so much. I was already pricing new printers, glad I tried this first.
Thank you so much you unsung hero! All the forums told me to brick my printer you have saved my whole year! I really needed to print some things for an event coming up next week
Thank you so much - good idea to protect the circuit board - I just used Cling Film and tilted the device running it under a hot water stream. Used ordinary tweezers to remove the rubber pieces. Then I blew through a straw - big one like you get for bubble tea - to clean the head. Put the rubber bits back - the ridges go down and one end is narrower than the other - with tweezers - that was the hardest bit but not hard - just fiddly. I've printed 4 pages now - hopefully it is good. Thank you very much indeed.
Watched 12 minutes of videos, that saved my loads of time. Cleaned the head, everything done as video was showing. Wish video had some voice instruction as well, or caption. In absent of these two, I struggle to fit those rubber. 12 minutes of the video, another 12 minutes of cleaning, then many hours trying to fit this back what it took me and frustrated me. Your comments with instruction saved many hours more. Thank you.
Great video! I have the same printer but, the blue button below the two white button bars is already pressed in so I cannot set it up for wireless printing. Any idea how to get that blue button to pop back out? The manual is no help. I tried disconnecting it. Didn't help.
thank you so much, I have tried everything . the manual said to do a deep clean but no instruction on how to do it.....you save me.... but my problem is only the pink one is not printing so Iam gonna go ahead a do a deep clean like you did and see what happen.....
I have an ix6820, which appears to have the same details as the 6840. I would like to know which cleaning kit was used in this video, or if the author sells the hit he's using. I search for cleaning kits on eBay and I'm bewildered by all the kits available. Typically, I'm finding kits that are available for multiple brands, including Canon, but when I look at the items in the kit, I'm not always clear as to how they would work with my particular model. Any help in this regard would be greatly appreciated, since my printer needs cleaning bad.
Thank you for posting, I have a few questions. Can you do this same process for Cannon Pixma iX6820? Where can you get the cleaning kit? Are you using alcohol or water? Thanks for sharing ☺️
merhaba ben şöyle anlatım ben canon mg6450 cihaz aldım ikinci el olarak aldım üzerindeki sağlam gibidi az hafif cizgili yazıyordu bende video daki izledim hafif ılık su ile temizledim ve sonuç yazmadı ve yazıyor gibi yazıyor boş kağıt çıkarıyor ben nerede hata yaptım bende çözemedim şimdilik yazmıyor boş çıkarıyor yaani yazıyor gibi yazıyor bu sorunu yardım edecek kişileri bekliyorum...
What is the diameter of each of the two plastic tubes, that are used with the syringe, to squirt the liquid in the print heads? And also, any idea where can i find those plastic tubes?
Good Day, I have the same printer and I want to connect it with my mobile so I can print some pictures, could you provide me with steps to do it, thank you in advance for your kind co-operation and support
Been trying to get a new print head for more than a year... bought one off EBay it came in a sealed pack, it was a rip off! Even had a hole drilled through the Circuit Board
Sometimes the ink can dry in the head......try soaking it overnight with distilled water. If it still has issues add a few drops of ammonia, but remember to flush it out with distilled water and let it dry before installing it back into the printer. Also make sure the contacts are clean. There is always a possibly that the head may have burned out. Good Luck.

What liquid was used for cleaning? Was it water?
It is water
Thanks a lot, but What liquid did you use?
hi. did u find the liquid that he used. ?
@@mahmutyldrm5526 I use just warm water,works perfectly.
@@surayatimol2385 thnx bro . i threw it out
Use alcohol, do not use water (unless it is distilled water) because tap water will leave residues in ink passages.
Thank you very much.
Thanks a lot, Sir.....
Thank you.

In most cases your gonna need to buy a new printhead. Cleaning these heads almost never works.
