Merry Christmas to you too John c: and yeah I know right? I’ve never seen or caught an Opaleye that pale before, they’ve always been really dark or normal shade :o it was a cool catch for sure c:
Always appreciate the support JJ :D what did you think of the editing approach for this video? Since it’s a continuation of part 1, I wanted to give a sightly different style to it. It’s still Sven Style for sure but also not lolol
Thanks Doug :D it was a super cool place to fish for sure, all the cracks in the rocks hold a surprising amount of fish, I would have never expected for them to be in there c:
Thanks Douglas :D it was a super fun day of fishing for Opaleyes, Werf and I were actually going to try to hit up the Imperial Valley for some freshwater tomfoolery, so if we catch stuff that’s the next collab! :D
Merry Christmas to you too PLF :D I might try that next time, would be cool to see what works well, the waves are rough but I do think a floating shromp would entice them :o
@@otroflores91 That's probably true. I couldn't find any special mentioning of opaleye in California regulations. So, probably it is considered a general fish: "No more than 20 finfish in combination of all species with not more than 10 of any one species".
Catch and Release. The only way to fish! 👍
I do a little both but I definitely 99% catch and release, sometimes they’re just too beautiful to keep ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
for the ones you cant keep true.
I have never seen an Opaleye that white before. Good catch Werf. An amazing video as always Sven, Merry Christmas to you too. Keep it up.

That albino opaleye you caught was still the cooliest one of the day :D
@@SvenGoesFishing could be true.. I love opaleye...
Can’t wait until we catch a potential 2-3lb Opaleye that’s also as pale :o
@@SvenGoesFishing some light colored bois in the mix at that place..
You think we would also catch some super dark ones there or would that be more at a different location :o
like always good video sven!
Thanks Brandon :D super fun day of catching not so dinky opaleyes in a tidepool c: would never really expect them in there haha
Merry Christmas! Also, I wonder how iso rigs work there in the tide pools haha
Merry Christmas to you too PLF :D I might try that next time, would be cool to see what works well, the waves are rough but I do think a floating shromp would entice them :o
What's the catch limit for opaleye?
10 I believe

Yep that’s exactly right 😁 opaleyes don’t have a special limit regulation so just 10 per day c:
