Commandos 2: Men of Courage is a definitive World War II real-time strategy and tactics game released by Eidos Interactive and Pyro Studios, and it is probably my favourite PC game of all time. Some of the missions in the game were inspired by famous WW2 movies. This is my full gameplay walkthrough with commentary of Level 5, Bridge Over The River Kwai, which can serve as a guide for how to successfully complete the level.
Level Plot: In 1942, commandos Jack O'Hara, Paul Toledo, James Blackwood and Samuel Brooklyn are deployed to the Pacific Theatre. On 17 June the commandos are sent to northern Thailand, where they rescue a Colonel Guinness, who in turn helps them destroy the bridge over the River Kwai by revealing its structural weakness. The bridge is blown up just as a train of the Imperial Japanese Army high command crosses it, plummeting into the river. The level is inspired by the classic 1957 David Lean film "Bridge on the River Kwai," and "Colonel Guinness" is based on Alec Guinness's character Colonel Nicholson in the film. He sounds just like him!
The game sees players taking control of a squad of commandos (Green Beret, Sniper, Diver, Sapper, Driver, Spy, Thief, and Natasha) along with various allied units, as they sneak behind enemy lines to accomplish various missions in World War II, between 1941 and 1944, that will help them to thwart the war efforts of the Germans and the Japanese. The game also has an incredible music soundtrack by Mateo Pascual.
This is the original release of the game, currently available on Steam. I will also be reviewing the 2020 HD remaster soon.

😱 This was my face when you said you have to use the arrows to move the elephant I used to play this game a lot almost 20 years ago but I was never able to figure out how to make it move. I clearly remember that I even tried to use the mouse of Lupin thinking that the elephant would be scared of it... Now I admit that this was a bit too much side thinking.
I think it took me ages to work it out as well - you're not alone!
They send the team to blow up a bridge without the sapper!?
Right???! Haha

You should go through the hotkeys it will help you a lot. You have a button that highlights all the soldiers in red. Another tip, if you are worried if a soldier is within the view of others simply take the sight enemies button and place it near it. This will show you who is looking at his direction.
One more thing steve, Tiny can be used at the frist Telephone Pole at the first section when dealing with the enemy on top hill for the first section.
You can spilt the cigarate when you hold keyboard shift. anyway thanks.
