That looks good. I use the beefy onion soup mix in mine, it has a recipe on the back of the package for meat loaf and that's what I use. I will try it in my cast iron skillet next time, thanks. God Bless you
My favorite meal. Meatloaf and mashed potatoes. . . We use some wet bread in ours but I like it with oats too. I use evaporated milk a lot too!! I even use it for my coffee and hot tea. 😋😂❤
God love you guys, so real and down to earth. I make my meatloaf in my cast iron skillet as well. And we both share the same secret as one of our ingredients. MILK!! It does definitely make a difference! I used to use oats as a filler, now I like to use a box of chicken flavored stuffing mix.
Are you going to use an iron skillet? I think halving the recipe I would check in 50-60 mins. You want to make sure the beef gets good and done. I’ve made this inline after pans, casserole dishes, I just prefer my iron skillet. I have to make a big batch for our family.

The cute little dog in the back hopes you drop some😂
They are always hoping that 😂
I just watched the video. Love it and I’m going to try to make tonight. Do you use a whole can of evaporated milk?
No, I would say about 2/3 cup. I just kind of eyeball it.
@@janiceswink9463 another question I’m full of them lol!! If I decrease it in half would you still bake for 1 1/2 hours?

@@janiceswink9463 I’ve never tried the iron skillet but I’m gonna give it a whirl!! Thank you for your time!!
Paula I just found my written down recipe. I used 1/2 cup for the 3 pounds of beef for the meatloaf.
