Hi Amit, Your videos are really helping to dig deep into OIM. Your first video on OIM (1.2 Hours) helped me understand the over view of OIM. However, I'm unable to understand the OIM Design Consoles and the Connector concepts clearly. It would be better if you can make a video on OIM Design Consoles seperately and explain how each one is inter-related with one another and how stuffs actually work. Why Resource Management, Process Management, Tool and each one's sub parts work and how it's related to other parts with simple examples. Please share me the link if you've already done a video on my query. You're doing a great job. Keep up the good work!!
and what about ICF connector? Do we still use predefined to connector with AD or we can use ICF and what is the difference between them. What is the difference between IFC and other connectors? Thanks.
Hi Amit, Thank you so much for making this video as per my request !!! It's really helped me a lot to understand the connector concept clearly. Based on this video i have few doubts which i listed below. 1. In Form designer there are different table we able to see like UD_LDAP_USR , UD_LDAP_ROLE etc.., all these tables were created during OID/OUD configuration under ODS/respective schema ?? 2. Do we have process form for Role / Group as like user process form ? If so explain me when we use that 3. We have LDAP sync enable concept between OIM and OID/OUD also connectors concept. What is the difference between these two concepts ? Is that LDAP sync push all the user details to OID/OUD but Connectors only push mandatory field that we mentioned in Process form ? Ill watch remaining video and post my question Regards, Boopathi
Thank you Amit. It is easy to understand. We create predefined connector for PROVISIONING from OIM to AD. Does this also include the package for RECON from AD to OIM or we have to create a new IT resource and use the same connector for recon job? Does it come in bundle with both Recon and Provision and we can use it vise versa tasks? As far as i know one connector is used for one task or am i wrong?
@@identityclasses Thank you for your reply. So the same connector is used. That means we need to create another schedule job right, but not IT Resource and Application Instance?.
Hi Amit, Thanks for the series of videos , they are all helping us to learn things easily. I have a question here, appreciate if you could answer the same. In this video , you have connected OIM with OID via connector , but it also possible via LDAPSync , isn't it?
Hi Amit, Thank you so much your tutorials are very beneficial , it was very well-explained. I am having one doubt : How to uninstall connector although I am using ./uninstallConnector.sh command but it is throwing error [[Enter context Factory (i.e.: weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactory for weblogic or com.ibm.websphere.naming.WsnInitialContextFactory for websphere)]: ]weblogic.jndi.WLInitialContextFactory Logging configuration class "oracle.core.ojdl.logging.LoggingConfiguration" failed java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: oracle.core.ojdl.logging.LoggingConfiguration Error encountered while getting a connection :No suitable driver found for
Hi Amit...Great videos to learn. I. having a doubt here. Reconciliation Field Mappings that you have explained will be applicable when I will reconcile user from directory server to OIM. But in our case we are provisioning user from OIM to OID. So same mapping will work or we define those somewhere else in design Console??

Hi Bro,
Awesome explanation 😍,I just came to know many things about connector 👍

The same connector contains the recon task as well.

Great Video, is it possible to explain how this Mapping was created in Process Definition.
Sure..Please refer my development videos.
