On a quest for the best lobster during Laconia Motorcycle Week, Motorcycle USA travels the New England countryside on the 2012 Royal Enfield Classic Chrome.
One of the coolest bikes I've ever seen. Definitely gonna get one of these. You cannot find anything even remotely close to vintage like this with a big shovel or pan lower than $20k. This is great bike for anyone who loves the old rigids
+Steve Miller The 2015 classic EFI I'm getting has the long straight exhaust. It sounds pretty good, but I want it just a little louder with more thump. I don't think I've ever felt this way about a motorcycle. I just hope I don't get my heart broken.
Soul Wagon I can send you pics/vids of my Enfield with the EFI exhaust pipe if you give me your facebook address. . You can find them at the "N Gear" online catalogue. I can recommend the bike and the exhaust as they have been free of any problems. for the last 3 years. I also put on the K and N air filter, the combo gives a bit more HP. A lot of people ask about my bike, it is not for those who wish to remain unseen. I have mounted a sidecar on it and now people walk up to me all the time and ask about it.
yeah...but strange...this resemble more the bikes used by Steve McQueen or Marlon Brando back in times more than any other modern bike including the boneville or the w800 and the majority of people that buy "manly looking bike" use them just to ride to the pub.
i've seen the indian models and they seem to be a nice height but the american versions seem smaller which i hope is not the case since i wanna get a bullet g5 classic. on the website it says 42 inches as the height which i hope is the height from the top of the seat to the floor
If Harley started making one of their old school pans in this style they'd price them at 15-20k. It be a way better bike than the Enfield but Harley hasn't done that yet
We reviewed the Continental GT recently but there was no video: www.motorcycle-usa.com/931/18551/Motorcycle-Article/2014-Royal-Enfield-Continental-GT-First-Ride.aspx
+wayne tywater The vibrations are RPM dependent. Certain speeds are very smooth. 50 MPH=smooth, 60MPH= hand numbing. I put aftermarket grips on mine and it eliminated that problem. I would recommend aftermarket footpegs as well, as my feet also had problems with the vibrations. The seat is not bad. All vibration ceased when I put a sidecar on it, the extra mass and support structures dampened them all out.
Lmao. All that macho girls bike crap. To ride a true " man's man " bike with a Nasty engine suicide clutch and jokey shifter on a custom naked body you gotta pay upwards of 40k up. I have a 78 Harley fxs shovel in Miami and it's an awesome bike but it's heavy as hell and been in and out of the shop for years
No Mr. Wilson, I don't think I'm anything special. I just get tired of little-know-it alls spouting shit about "girl's bikes" and other ridiculous notions. What's your story?
Listen to this guy who owned two of these and one of them did not have push button start. Not kicking an Enfield to start it is very gay. People start learn how to start your bike. Do not ride it if you do not know how to start it!
Saravanan Sundaresan Ohhh did a Bulleteer hurt your feelings???? don't worry... all Enfield riders are not empty headed ego maniacs. You can join me and my crew for rides... we all ride Enfields and I'm sure we will change your perspective.
Though it looks great , yet I feel it little short in height . Thunderbird is little heavier and taller than chrome yet it's shining colour forced me to order for this bullet ...

Under 3k in india
I bought mine last week a 2015 model . I have no complains , Rides and runs great. I will change the muffler for a louder Harley sound.
+wayne tywater Have you changed the muffler yet? I was thinking about getting one of the wild boar mufflers.
+wayne tywater I bought the EFI RE exhaust pipe. It sounds much better,. louder and improves power.

Fascinating engine
thank god they are made in india.....not some piece of usual china crap
I just love that bike
I am glad you found a serial killer to test ride it. Is that Mark David Chapman or John Hinckley?
Neither of those were serial killers. The rider, maybe.
India 2 grand
US 6 grand
WTF
export maybe.... if RE sets up a plant in USA then prices will surely come down.
Amazing bike
Good info!!!

Good lookin Chicks bike!
HOws on body size commpared to the old enfields? seems to be too small....i love it though

they will not, instead they made a 750 and 500 Water Cooled!
bien, ahora se fabrica en la india , pero mantiene el control de calidad britanico....
Nice bike
How reliable is this bike @Motorcycle-USA ?
Did it break down in your trip?
Are you kidding? This bike is made like a tank! Strongest bike you'll ever see.
Did I hear that right--it only has a top end of 70?
Do a review of Royal Enfield Continental GT
We reviewed the Continental GT recently but there was no video:

in the us it costs around 6000 bucks
crome bht hi unnda models hai,aur iski perfomance bhi kafi behtar hai....
Do you think these little bikes would be good for someone who's only used dirt bikes on trails?
Try Himalayan. But classic 350 r enough.. take a ride, u will feel like flying
is the vibration bad on this bike?
+wayne tywater yes
+wayne tywater vibrations are the best thinng of the bike.if u dont like it change the filter to k&n recomended by RE and also try motul oil
+wayne tywater The vibrations are RPM dependent. Certain speeds are very smooth. 50 MPH=smooth, 60MPH= hand numbing. I put aftermarket grips on mine and it eliminated that problem. Blah blah blah
Its 3000$ here in India
double the price would be doable but not 3x....
well originally, now its manufactured in india...
Is this a British bike?
Indian
Top speed is 140
and a vibration enough to satisfy your babes needs
why Indian version have carburetor and american have fuel injection
the carburetor version has stopped production even in india, only fuel injected models available.
No Mr. Wilson, I don't think I'm anything special. I just get tired of little-know-it alls spouting shit about "girl's bikes" and other ridiculous notions. What's your story?

Pipe down Grandpa....it's a inside joke from the RE forum. Goof...
Not as such compared to ci
Royal Enfield can be defined as 'All Fart & No shit'
Exclusively designed for empty headed Ego maniacs
+Saravanan Sundaresan what motorcycle do you prefer we ride?
+Saravanan Sundaresan Just what I thought. You're " All Bark & No Bite"
Seems like You have the problem dealing with an overzealous Ego. Cheers
