@@christopherbush9027 you are very welcome. I had a few opportunities to meet her over the years and what a wonderful person. She was such an immensely talented human being and she had the most wicked sense of humor
I wrote her a fan letter when I was in high school and she was doing CATS. Told her how badly I missed out on seeing on tour in Sunset and that I wish I could get my hands on the rare three track promo. A few weeks went by and when I came home one day there was a beautifully written response and a signed copy of the promo CD - I flipped out! I’ve never forgotten that act of kindness to a nerdy theater kid from Williamson NY!
@@christopherbush9027 I got my copy of the CD by harassing Tom at ReallyUseful. Lol. It's also how I got my copy of the Australian promo. I was fortunate enough to get Linda to sign my copy of the CD. It's along with my Playbill and souvenir brochure are literally my most cherished musical theater possession. She is hands down my favorite Norma. I have lost count of how many women I have seen perform this role, and none of them had a voice that even comes close to the way her is filled with theater. Not even Elaine Paige and she could belt like no other.
I saw that tour when it played Philadelphia over the Christmas Holidays. A beautiful production of one of my most favorite ALW shows. This is a treasure to have. And I love how the percussionist is living their best life during that song!
Ah the late great Linda Balgord. She was an extraordinarily talented and kind woman - thank you for posting!
