That was a cool day. I got a kick out of that room that you rented nowadays those kind of experiences are becoming scarce. Thanks Captain Jack love checking on you every day. You’re in my prayers God bless.
Nice Forge of Dismal Falls. Was there in September '25 and hardly any water. We called above it. Later got gas at Trent's. No credit card at the pump. Pump first and pay inside. I forgot we used to do that. Missed the Falls on my thru-hike in '23 as I left Woodshole late and was booking it to Weary Feet.
🚶👟👟⛺🌞 that blue blaze was awesome I like to watch the water flow around that ice I remember building a fire on Kings creek before went back the next day it still didn't burn through the ice nice warm place to sleep stay safe brother and happy hiking 💯💪🏆🏆🏆 AKA Louisiana mountain man
It looks like you are beginning to reach the hurricane impacted area. Please try to show as much of the storm damage as you can. That would aid the NOBO's headed your way. Be safe!
Beautiful day for a Hike 🥾 down by the creek 😉. That's a good way to crash and burn 😅 How'd you manage not to get your feet wet? Thanks for sharing the ice . Love the view! 💖.
Was that a protein bar you had for breakfast or a candy bar? Lol either way it looked good AF just saying. Dismal looks like a good section of the trail and it seems the ice softened up a bit, hopefully you won't have to wear your spikes much longer. -Acorn
Looking good be well
Beautiful & so clean w/ all that snow & ice. I’d be so terrified of an accident. Glad you’re being careful. Keep safe & prepared.
Still cold and snow on the ground. But still heading South. Always enjoy your videos. Stay Safe and HIKE ON!!!!
Amazing video at the creek and falls! Really cool to see.
What an amazing video my brother! Awesome footage! Makes me miss the trail!
🤜❤️🤛
Lots of rhododendron bushes through there. It would be gorgeous in the Spring. The stream was beautiful. Stay safe and warm ❤

Sweet. Happy trails.🤘🏻🥾⛰️
Beautiful. I was in that area in July, water was a tad scarce then. Stayed at Woods Hole Hostel one night.

Everything looks amazing in the snow. But that looked really slippery and scary.

Damn pipes bursted when you flushed!
Shitty situation! 😂😂😂
Well, you've been out there quite some time...staying in the shelters, have you made it so far with no mouse damage to your gear or food?
🐈⬛️😻🐈⬛️😻🐈⬛️😻
Dismal Falls Trading Co. does cabin rentals, FWIW.
About what day will you be hiking into mt rogers ranger station shelter?
Just thinking. Fear the Walking Dead Nikolai. He notes in the disaster that he was just ahead of everyone else. You're already living in the future!
