Not a bad light. Good it can also run on AA or Eneloop. I don't really have a need for a head lamp, though. As a side note, the music that starts at 7:04 is probably my favorite of the Skyrim music. 🙂
It’s lowest moonlight mode starts at roughly version 2’s M3 so you do miss those first two really low moonlight modes from the last version. I was disappointed about this as the ultra low sub-lumen modes was why I bought it. It’s still low and most of the time I use the equivalent M3 on the old version anyway but it would have been nice to have the option to use the ultra low moonlight modes. The tint is better on this version with the 519 Nichia though.
It can't hold even 120 lm for more than 3 mins on 1xAA NiMH! Also terrible runtimes for NiMH - continuous 80 lm max output for ~80 mins (1900 eneloop) and 50 lm for ~ 180 mins :( That's according to the official table. So I see a 1xAAA runtimes on a 1xAA headlamp. It's optimised for Li-Ion power supply, that's why it comes with 14500 battery. The same thing with Acebeam H16 - horrible stepdowns and amount of light is like an old tiny AAA model. The only winner in 1xAA category, AFAIK, is Zebralight H53.
I too have the Manker E03 lll in Neutral white 4000k as well as one of the other lights (the SOFIRN) and whilst I love both I prefer the 4000k tint of the MANKER for both inside (piss light) and walking the dogs because it’s a little easier on my 58 year old eyes. It’s a really nice tint and still plenty bright. I was a little disappointed at first (only got it this week from AliExpress) that the moonlight modes aren’t quite as low as the E03 ll or my E02 ll but I can live with it. (It seems the lowest moonlight mode starts roughly at where M3 for would be on Version ll) Even so it’s becoming my favourite torch and I’ve got a fair few!

@alext8410 High CRI with tiny flashlights and batteries isn't really viable for long uses. Ok, for quick diy or electrician stuff.
