Get a modular helmet, you can flip up the chin bar. And get gloves and knee pads, at a minimum. Those points, and your face, always strike the ground on an e scooter crash . 🤸♀🛴Also, just lift the front end and let the back end roll over the steps. I suggest for your first extended trip, Tagaytay. The Klima has more than enough power and range. It's an awesome ride.
Good idea getting a d-lock. Hopefully, you'll also find a way to carry it or mount it to the scooter. You should consider one that is relatively long since a lot of bike racks are poorly designed and so having a longer lock will provide more versatility when dealing with them. Also helps when you have no choice but to lock it to a fence or something like that.
I move every 6 months or so. Im in Uptown BGC now. Next destination back to Cebu for 6 months. Cool Scooter I like it! Whats battery life like? Do you carry spares?
if youre considering leaving BGC and the country, and settle on other asian places its possible but you cant match the totality of the place, you can talk to anybody here you just have to find someone as a friend.
Yes the 1st min of the vid sums it all up, Like me I'm a few mins away I live in Kalayaan Makati as a lot of stuff are more expensive in BGC I suggest u get an apartment outside but near bgc because the electricity of condo is high because of the stand by generator your getting charged for a premium.I estimate you alone using inverter ac, and washing machine, laptop\tv won't costs you more than 4-6k a month in non condo rental also we rarely get power outages in Makati and if ever it happens it goes up w/in a min or an hour tops, also shared condos fees added costs you don't really need IMO
You can tour around Intramuros with that ride, I think the ferry boat en route to Binondo allows that type of private service then from Binondo you can enjoy the newly restored esplanade and the foods in Binondo again but this time you don't need to hire a trike or pedicab since you already have your own service.
Great vlog Mr. Mergim by the way you can look for Dlocks at Ace hardware or Concord car accessories maybe Tobby's sports anyways Keep it up stay safe and God bless always 🤙
0:08 I was in BGC yesterday and it was hilarious cause there's 2 guys that ended up having a fist fight because of the E-Scooter 😂 Anyways, it's time to move out man. You have a scooter now that can take you pretty much anywhere you want in Metro Manila, time to save some money with the rent and food. I still think a motorbike would be better tho especially if you want to go further away from Metro Manila
Mergim, I am thinking the same way. I am looking for a condo somewhere in Quezon City. I have heard, New Manila or Green Hills is what I am considering to look into to move in, that is, if the price is right.
My cousin from Arizona just rented a condo for a couple months. It’s nearby Santa Lucia Mall, Robinson’s mall and a short LRT ride to SM Marikina and Ayala Malls. Very accessible 2go2 Cubao and Makati.
* Lumos Helmet or Unit 1 Helmets are nice. Make sure you get them with MIPS technology. I got the E-bike specific helmet due to higher sustained speeds than a conventional bike. * Knog, Lumos have good LED lighting. * Good reflective clothing, vest. Maybe a rain poncho too. * Attachable LED light for your back pack, clothing. * Emergency kit for yourself Band aids, tweezers, ointment etc.) and minor scooter repairs. (multi tool, tire repair etc) They make an extender for your handle bar to add extra accessories.
SM Megamall Ace hardware and Edsa Shangri-La True Value have what you need. You're already near them. You should have gone through the main entrance of Tiendesitas so you didn't have to carry your scooter.
5:46 Helmet is a must. I had a horrible concussion when I fell off my bike. Dizziness and severe head aches for WEEKS! I’ll never again ride anything without a helmet
The problem in Siargao is infrastructures ie electricity, hospitals, lacking food supplies and water supplies etc. They had a blackout for 14 days but luckily 8 miles have solar. Imo the businesses should have solar instead of generators to solve the blackouts and brownouts.
it seems that theres a rotation of foreign vloggers in BGC .When Brian the Lion was IN ,Mergim and Jasper were OUT. Now that Mergim adn Jasper are back ,Brian is out .When Mergim was out before ,Jasper was in . When Brian came in , Jasper disappeared!
In Europe you must wear a helmet to drive a roller like yours. Because even on a little push from a car behind and you can easily brake your neck. I just would like to warn you.... 😢
Yup my cousins rented a condo nearby Santa Lucia Mall, Robinson’s and a short LRT rides to SM Marikina and Ayala Malls. The condo is so accessible and decided to buy a condo.
Oh. Decathlon. Been there, already. Nice place - except for that Indian-Made raincoat I bought there, whose internal parts rip and fall apart on my skin after a rain.
How is it living alone in the Philippines for such a long time? I haven't seen you with any female companion or partner, especially considering it's been quite a while.
BGC is so boring. It’s like a ghost town after 10PM. Empty Designer stores. No nightlife. The condos are so overpriced compared to better equipped Asian countries. Go to Vietnam or Cambodia, even Laos. They are light years ahead of the Philippines. You’ll cut your budget in half, have a better home for half the money, more healthy international cuisine & colorful vibrant street food, and find interesting things/people to do 24/7, delicious cuisine, real coffee, and packed nightlife that can party until sunrise. Philippines is so overrated, and overpriced. It’s stuck in the past and nothing is getting developed compared to the rest of Asia.
man i don not want to brag but BGC is just 1 part of the city which is the center hub trade of South east asia, for rental cost each region is different, you can consider cebu city or Davao city which is some lovely places and half money than Makati o NCR.since you like a night life you need to go out of BGC go around Pasig,QC,Makati Etc...
@ I spent years in the Philippines. All over. It’s boring, broken, overrated and the housing prices are ridiculous compared to countries nearby. It’s dull. No soul. Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, and Cambodia are 20 years ahead at least, and growing fast.
@@Mikeycambovideos it seems you are closed minded but did not try living at province too, all youtubers at the province is saving a lot of money even at dumaguete et... and you aren't aware of the development since you are not in the PH. i think you live in the over rated places and suck all your money i think and that is why you got out of the country without studying the local places.
Vietnam maybe but Laos and Cambodia? 😂 Might as well move to Kenya 😂🤣 BGC is still much better than even the nicest place in Vietnam. It’s like mini Singapore. Not to mention that almost everyone can speak English, and Christian too. Imagine if you get lost in Laos with no cellular service…. That’s a nightmare.
Miss the relax life of the Philippines
You might want to consider wearing reflective vests also and flashing LED light to strap on your backpack.
Agree; you might think it's nerdy but it's for your own safety; Filipino drivers are crazy!
"and flashing LED light to strap on your backpack." - Hopefully not the white one like what most of the bikers use as it is annoying to look at
You might want to check out brixton or sheridan towers by DMCI. just a bridge away from BGC but costs way less than BGC units.

Living in Alabang area or Paranaque villages is one of the more relaxing areas in Metro Manila.
Hello Mergim, try to go to Vertiz North and Solaire Resort North in Quezon City, its a new development by Ayala Land it's a new city center
Merry Christmas Mergim have a good one! 👍
Your style outfit is more casual and relax now.
Nice vlog Mergim! Your editing skills are getting better and better keep it up! Happy Holidays! ♥️🎄⛄
Wala na ring Merry Christmas sa Philippines? Happy Holidays na? Bakit kaya? May reason kasi dito sa US kung bakit Happy Holidays ang sa kanila.
Yes i enjoyed the vlog.. merry Christmas mergim

I figured it out as well.. mergim didn't notice it.
Love seeing you around with your scooter
5:33 Yes, especially if you are traveling as far as Tagaytay.

7:27 they have bike ramp on the sides, does the scooter wheels fit?
The most important thing about a good E scooter is a strong battery like 3,000 watts
What a relaxing day
Love products from decathlon
You've been looking for accommodations for several videos now. Just do it!
8 miles from Home family lives in Siargao they are a British family, right? Siargao is booming the next Bali

Check out bmx helmets. Full face but much lighter. Look like dirt bike helmets
BGC is where the affluent lives😊
Di rin
Time to move to Pasig. Thats more central than BGC. You can explore QC more like UP Diliman.
Yup my cousins rented a condo nearby Santa Lucia Mall, Robinson’s and a short LRT rides to SM Marikina and Ayala Malls. The condo is so accessible and decided to buy a condo.
Try Greenfield much cheaper.
Find the right place for you that fits you're life style. BGC is not the place for night life. It's a decent place because it's a financial hub.
why? because the most expensivevto live in metro manila...
wear helmet please, it will greatly affect escooter groups negatively (for not wearing helmet) if someone rides a escooter as powerful as klima
How does it affect other people by him not wearing a helmet? 😂
@@jamesfitfoodie8249 Some people tend to generalize a whole group base on one "Pasaway" or Offender especially Traffic officers.
🟡 I am looking for a light weight carbon fibre scooter that can fit into a backpack and a light carbon fibre helmet 🟡
yes better full face for Small-Medium size E-scooter and the police will never disturb you and riding at 40-50km/h only
Drinking and driving a scooter without a helmet and bright reflective clothing is not safe.
A comment
i would never gamble my life with riding any vehicle in the city of manila, as there is absolutely no respect among drivers!!
Are you worried about someone steeling your scooter while your in a store shopping
Perhaps the better question is is it time to move back home?
Do you mean home as in rainy and cold London? He’s been too spoiled by tropical weather to ever be happy living there. A short vacation, maybe.
Rentpad makati 👍
You need to wear a helmet as you will come of 1 day

Love BGC
Get a rectangular backpack .🇺🇸🇵🇭
30 km an hour is enough velocity to kill you in a 'head on' accident - God forbid. Your scooter is dangerous - take care..
