Yes and No. Administration of corticosteroids by doctors leads to the brain detecting enough hormone (cortisol) present in the blood. Therefore, adrenal gland production is reduced, or stopped. If this unnatural steroid intake (administration by doctors) goes on for too long, the brain may fail to produce more ACTH, or the correct amount. The adrenal glands may stop producing glucocorticoids altogether, (the “use it or lose it” idea), Or, only produce a little (insufficiency). So, yes (it’s caused) by way of unnatural administration. And, no, because unnatural administration to replace low or non-existent production does not really fix it. Dose (concentration) and timing are almost impossible to get correct. Especially under stressful conditions. It’s like a band aid, that only works sometimes, and has lots of side effects. Best not to get treated by doctors. They don’t really know, or understand, (or care?) what they do to people’s health. You cannot fix these problems once they happen.
Thank You for presenting the TRUTH of the situation. 🎉🎉🎉
GOATT- Greatest Of All Time Teacher- thank you ❤❤❤❤❤
So the cause is the cure?
How do they test for it? What if a person has some ACTH / CRH production will the adrenals still atrophy?
Can a head injury cause secondary adrenal insufficiency?
Under causes and listed iron, is that low, high or in the pituitary or hypothalmic gland? Guess there is no ACTH that may taken.
Mine was 192 nmol but apparently it completely un interpretable as taken at 17.30 ! I have low sodium 131 & low Osmolality is 277 (285 lowest )
Question: A glucocorticoid can cause it and fix it?

Yes, mine was just tested last week and found to be low
Andar amor DHEA
I was born with pan hypopituitarism and secondary adrenal insufficiency.
