M&P 2.0 is the best polymer series of guns for the price. Everything you need, very good ergos, best stipple texture, metal iron/night or suppressor ready sights, red dot optic ready, ported barrel if you want, different colors, plenty of aftermarket and especially reliable. Sorry Glock fan boys but yeah, theres a new sheriff in town.
Glock and M&P are the two best on the market. Now that MP has an optic cut version, they might take the number 1 spot. Glock MOS system is not the best. That is why I was curious to see how the CORE system performed...
Great point about the mag release. I'm a Southpaw w/medium hands. My support hand usually gets in the way, so I keep it as is. I have more reach & better dexterity w/my L shooting/index finger anyways.
Red dots are the shit. Drop and Apex Flat Faced trigger into that gun and its fantastic. It's probably as close to a 1911 trigger as you can get in a pivoting trigger.
Do you have to get the springs kits as well or just the Apex trigger shoe? I never done any aftermarket work on my pistols before and this will be my first so I don't know too much about aftermarket triggers.
Good video!!! One of the main reasons why so many people buy Glock over something like an M&P, is because they drink the Kool-aid that alot of Instructors sell to their students!!!! I have had more issues with my Glock 17 Gen 5 then I have had witmy M&P's Full Size or Compact. In fact, I have had No Issues with any of my M&P's, other than having to have to switch the mag release over to the other side of the gun because I am a SouthPaw and inadvertently drop the mag on myself while shooting.... I aslo have that same problem while shooting Glocks though. But, at least with the M&P's they eject malfunctions and or dummy rounds out without an issue, NOT so much for the Gen 5 Glocks, and there's more than just 1, so it is based off of a descent sample size. Each Glock has over 2 thousand rounds through them as well. The M&P'S just under a thousand rounds each. So, I don't buy that Glock is BETTER than an M&P!!! I actually STOPPED drinking the BULLSHIT of how Superior Glock is Kool-Aid to other Guns out there. The ergo's on an M&P and the ease of shooting and the reliability of the M&P's has made me switched to M&P for all my purposes for Handguns. As a Glock (Fan Boy) Instructor myself of over 27 years, that's saying something!!!
Is sold both my G23 and G27 to get a Glock with red dot ready slide till I saw a M&P9 Pro Series CORE settings next to a Glock. I pick up the M&P and love every bit of it.
First handgun I ever purchased was a S&W Sigma. It works, but I never cared for their dual hinged trigger design and turned me off from future purchases.
Thank you for the informative review. very well done. I own this gun and your conclusions are on point. The trigger is quite good out of the box because this gun is equipped with the S&W Performance Center sear which is very clean (not gritty) and delivers a 4.0-4.5 lb break on Lyman gauge. The pre-travel is way too much as mentioned. I ultimately put in the Apex forward set kit and it is very hard to beat. I really loved the functionality of the extended slide release but it did prevent slide lock a few times with high grip and the extended shelf actually conflicted with a few holsters I have. I swapped it out for the regular slide release that comes in the standard 2.0. All around this is an impressive, multi-role gun for the price point. It is the best M&P I have ever owned and is my go to for everything from home defense to competition to concealed carry.
I swear to God I have a really high support hand grip and it doesn't matter what gun I shoot it's rare I get a slide lock. But it's a compromise I'm willing to take due to control ability and accuracy. I just train around it
I sold my 2.0 because I rode the slide lock every time. Then I bought the core 9 compact with the front serrations knowing I might have the same problem with the oversized slide stop but I don't, same grip I love it 599.00 now looking for a dot
They shouldn't have oversized the slide release. Admittedly, when I got it, it was stiff. But it's broken in quite nicely over the past 2-3k rounds. People just want it super easy out of the box
Great video thank you. I'm a lefty and a big M&P fan due to the ergonomics of the grip and the gun looks good. I would get one of these but I'm going to stick with my Gen 1 full size M&P 9mm that I sent to Agency arms for a full build. Did you know half your sleeve is missing on that shirt?
I wasn't impressed with the 2.0 c.o.r.e. The trigger feels like a standard m&p but mine didn't have a reset. It was so weak and quiet, may as well consider it non existent. Wasn't impressed. Is this normally how they should be?? Should I send mine back for inspection? Because my regular m&ps have better triggers than the c.o.r.e. and actually have pronounced resets.
Excellent review. Just discovered your channel, gonna sub. Btw, did your red dot get caked up with carbon while shooting? People are saying the port for the loaded chamber indicator poops all over a red dot
I like it because if you use it for patrol, the pretravel helps you setup without inadvertently firing a round prematurely or accidentally. Personally I like the pretravel but to each their own.
Speaking of dots.. can anyone tell me if it’s normal that my adjustable Trijicon RMR turns to a brighter setting after leaving it in the drawer overnight? Like I will leave it on setting 2 and get it out and it will be on 4 brightness
A little more detail please.... What about the CORE system? How well does the RMR mount? Is it a solid mounting platform? Does the RMR hang over the slide? Are the screw holes all fucked up like Glock MOS sometimes are? Do the RMR mounting screws walk out after you shoot it a lot? you shot 12 rounds and gave an opinion, how would you know...
Never was really a fan of the M&P.....yet aesthetically speaking that is a nice looking handgun, especially in conjunction with the red dot on it.
It's handsome for a polymer gun for sure
i like the grip. i have a hk vp9 and it has a 17-18 degree and the m&p is similar.

@@joegasparro2395 and non stock glocks are even more over priced. Imo

You know my struggles then
I ended up getting one with my stimulus check. Still waiting on a red dot though! I'm a big M&P fan but I really enjoy this one, it shoots fantastic
Indeed

Yup makes sense

The M&P is totally different. Give one a shot if you get a chance. They are leaps and bounds better than the Sigma’s.
Glock is falling behind big time
This review is really good! Thanks for sharing.
beretta apx and sw mp2.0 best striker fires out there

I also saw some models have an apex trigger from factory
Murica!☮️💚
I would compare it to the G45...compact slide full size grip
No this is just the full size M&P. They’ve always had a 4.25” barrel, even the originals.
I sold my 2.0 because I rode the slide lock every time. Then I bought the core 9 compact with the front serrations knowing I might have the same problem with the oversized slide stop but I don't, same grip I love it 599.00 now looking for a dot
Got the same gun and love it too. Went with a Holosun 507c Gr ACSS reticle and a PL-Mini 2 Valkyrie Light. It goes every where I go, even to bed.
I still want an FDE long slide 2.0
I like it
I wish someone would do a video on the m&p m2.0 40 caliber core. This is my opinion. There are way too many videos about the 9mm.
They shouldn't have oversized the slide release. Admittedly, when I got it, it was stiff. But it's broken in quite nicely over the past 2-3k rounds. People just want it super easy out of the box
Yea it's not my fav
If only they were widely available.
Great Vid, I’ll give it a 2.0!!! Lol.
BURN
thought this was a PL-15 for a quick sec and I was excited
I'm sorry we let you down.
Glad you showed the 100 yard miss and then redeemed yourself
In all fairness the odds were low I would hit it haha

I have this model le only model 4.25 i love it
Nice video. Die Hard shot 😂😂😂 yippee ki-yay
Couldn’t tell you why but you’re probably the best at reviewing shit on UA-cam ... maybe it’s personality ... or the stunning looks
People comment on my looks all the time. They say things under their breath, so you know it must be good
Last time you get to borrow my amazing pistols.
I don’t think you own a pistol worth more than $599

Something about this channel is just awesome!
Haha thanks man I was afraid your statement was going end with the word "shit"
1911 Syndicate lolol! Hilarious...keep putting out great content man. Wish you the best. I’m definitely a fan
Glock 17 has a 4.49inch barrel.
I was hoping for more info about how you mount the optic. Is it a plate system? Or is it just cut for an RMR?
This gun was given to me with the optic on so I'm not positive
@@1911syndicate Yeah I figured that. Thanks for the response, though!

No
Good trigger but to much over travel before the break on my Pro Core.
*pre travel
After the break is over travel

If they ever make this in a 45 I'll be an owner.
They do....and it rocks.
Is the trigger better than the regular M&P? Will there be a compact version of this?
Not sure on that
There is now. 4” core
2.0 pro

Not off of the top of my head
Why 1 sleeve?

RDR Gear
How can they not make this in the compact version. C'mon!

What size target are you hitting at 100 yards brother ?!
Oontz oontz oontz
How TF did you make a gun I’ve never had the slightest interest in, look cool???

Sounds odd to me
Jordan sound like it could be on auto setting where it’s adjusting to the appropriate setting according to the amount light detected or not detecting

Trijicon RMR

I mean not every way. It has a battery
