Thanks for your explanation. It was to the point, concise and clear. I feel more confident in planting my Ranunculus for the first time. I will need to amend my soil since I live in Northern Alabama where it is pretty much clay. We have purchased peat moss and potting soil to mix in with the clay and will rent a tilling machine at the local hardware store.
I wish I had watched this excellent video last week. I bought Ranunculus bulbs this season for the first time and planted them all now....only to realise I put ALL of them in UPSIDE DOWN! I wonder if they will come up? Not taking the risk, going out this Easter weekend to buy more bulbs before the store sells out! You live and learn.
Man Bless the internet!! I bought some Ranunculus bulbs to plant with my granny and the package said to place them pointy side up. "Which pointy side?", she said. I told her to hold on a second and within 2 minutes we had our answer. Thank you for posting.
I just bought two dozen Ranunculus bulbs and I can not wait to plant them and hopefully see them bloom next spring. This was some great information to help get me started. Btw, for my current plants I like to use a homemade banana peel " water" fertilizer, it works beautifully for my current plants and was wondering if that would work for Ranunculus as well? Thank you!
Thanks for the tips i hope mine grow most of my plants don't and btw my box said u have to soak the seeds in not hot or cold water just right 3-4 hours
I've seen other videos where they soak the bulbs for 24 hours before planting. Would you recommend? If not, then why? Thanks for the video. Can't wait for my first try at these beauties.
I love ranunculus, I always have, as a child. I have never tried to grow them on my own and want to try this spring in Pennsylvania, I hope they work. when I get married these will be in my wedding I think they are gorgeous.
Ranunculus is my favorite genus of flower! Ranunculus B. was my first ranunculus i ever grew. It worked beautifully! However... their life was cut short by unknown means. Nothing was wrong with them at all, but one day they randomly disappeared from my indoor pot. Nobody was home either.
Interesting. I was wondering which way one put them in the ground. Now I'll have no issues planting them. Only issue might be the weather, but sometimes things that are supposed to die, survive.
hi! I sowed the bulbs the other way round for a month and just came across your video! I then turned them the correct way round roots facing downwards. Whilst doing that lots of white stems like have appeared.have i rescued the bulbs in time or not? any idea
Quick question. I planted a bunch of bulbs. One set has been doing better than the rest. However, I'm confused because they don't look alike. Do any of these type of flower have curls on the end of the stems that wrap around the neighboring plant? Also, they are leaning far over to the side, almost on the ground. Thanks for any advice!:)
Hello you suggest to plant in October or November-can I still plant now first week in March? I live in Northern California where it’s been consistently worm through the winter
I was so happy to find this video! I was afraid of planting the bulbs upside down!

Hi if i plant them in the ground & i live in zone 10. Will they come back every year?
Just had to go dig mine up. Had planted upside down about ten minutes before.
It's variable of course but typically speaking we see between 18-24 flowers per bulb. :)

Thank you so much Gentleman 🌹
Oh geez I planted them with the legs down. No wonder why they died. Thanks for the video.

Thank you :) !
can I grow renunclus in Florida
Yes.
Welp, I ruined my garden 😕
If they want to live they'll live. If not I'll plant something else.
The first time I saw the bulbs I thought they were just dry useless roots 😂
Video is 10 years old and the maker of the video has not answered one question. I wonder if they just want likes.
Last video was 7 year ago so most probably they don't care about these videos any more
