Peter Billingham trained for me one of his prolific open racing greyhounds called Access for Cash in the 70’s Jacko who he was known by raced at all of the big tracks in his racing career with Open race victories at Wimbledon,Walthamstow,Peterborough Yarmouth,Milton Keynes,Perry Barr,Hall Green,Crawley Heath,Ramsgate Trained at Monemire green he just could not get his nose in front with 6 photo finishes Peter was a gentleman and we often had a yarn at the bar but most of all I found him upfront v with any question asked of him He was a one of a kind greyhound trainer whom I respected Kim his daughter was a young girl at this time and Sandra Ralph was another trainer who I also gave the responsibility of training dogs for meat Monemore Green. I left the Uk in 1996 but never pursued my interests in greyhound racing It died when I left and after meeting Peter once more in 2006 when I revisited the UK he was still the same old Peter I used to know I am so happy that Kim followed in her fathers footsteps because I always knew she was gifted in looking after these wonderfull animals I am now 80 yrs old and still have a spring in my step The one thing I wish for is to turn back the clock and relive those happy moments Good luck Kim Billingham in your future.
