Bringing tears to my eyes because I am old with arthritic in my hands and I can't sculpt anymore and I miss it so much. I loved to watch and savor the music, singing and the gentle cat I can appreciate the love you put it your work. Bless you.
Thank you brother for this interesting and educational film. I've really enjoyed it. Life without music is no life at all. May He continue to bless you and yours. Gx
good hands and ear for tone also feel for thickness all required and knowledge of how to achieve and make a good violin with two bright top strings and two dark bottom strings sounds great thank you so much for your video
This man's skill is awesome! I fondly recognize all of the serene background worship melodies sweetly played on the violin. They provide a perfect setting for this excellent video.
Please forgive my lack of words to justly express how beautiful this presentation of your clearly masterful making of this instrument. Your deep passion extends far beyond fabrication and well into the realm of video production and mood derived from the audio renditions throughout. There were moments that left me breathless. Thank you so very much.
@@InessaGalanteFan Absolutely gorgeous and mesmerizing, I play piano but I couldn't stop watching your beautiful and loving crafted work. The background music is spellbinding. You are a true artist after the heart of God and I send prayers for His richest blessings and favor on you and your works of art. Thank you so much for sharing!
a sight to behold is that bead formed around the violin body perimeter, and the inlay, and the F holes and the front and back sculpting inside and out. thanks for the vid showcasing this wonderful wood work
It was an absolute pleasure to watch master craftsmen & women bring this piece of artwork to life from the most basic elements to something that will out live us all and provide happiness and inspiration for generations to come. I don't think people understand how difficult each stroke of the scribe, gouge and the plane are let alone the steel to stone for a razors edge. Thank You for sharing and making my day.
He walks with me. In The Garden. Thank you. Very beautuful. It must be hard work. Thank you for your love for the craft. It looks like you two shared the crafting. Great attention to detail.
I've seen old violins x-rayed before, but love it that you have every aspect "cat=scanned" for perfection each step of the way...LOL. Your cat could watch you all day long!!! Beautiful work!!!!
Oh , how beautiful, the painstaking art of such craftsmanship. Handcrafted to be lovingly played by hand. I love the stringed instruments,& especially the violin & cello; they most closely replicate the human voice. Thank you for posting this lovely video !
I'm watching this show while I eat pop corn. Una obra de arte en sí misma la manera en que trabaja este luthier. A work of art in itself the way in which this luthier works.
Although I've played guitar since 1970 and have a violin that my great-grandpa played, I have never MADE my own instrument. I can't imagine the enjoyment you'd get from playing an instrument you made. That being said, I've been carving carousel figures since 2007 (ran a steam-powered carousel in 2004-2005) and would LOVE to try making my own guitar or violin! What a cool video this was to watch! Thanks for the post!
Whoa, very impressed, when he starts to carve the scroll on the handle, amazing talent, incredible hand skills, a true professional. A few comments would improve the skills being shown, otherwise just EXCELLENT, especially the closeup video which shows and explains the processes clearly. Thank you.
Such a pleasure looking at this violin making process especially with the background opera singing. Very therapeutic. Thank you for sharing. Such a delicate job and great patience. He is no doubt a modern Strad. Even his cat approved it. Hahah.
You have such beautiful skills I enjoy immensely watching you taking your time and have so much passion for your violin I have seen other that I enjoy too and they are good people too you have skills that no body have this is what you have to be able to do be passionate about what you do and how much you enjoy your craftmanship
It's something worth appreciating, and not only the construction and the music. The fact that there's so many videos of making all sorts of instruments and furniture that pull out a table saw in the first few minutes and 2 days worth of power sanding throughout all the while titled "hand crafted", while there's videos like this that doesn't even mention hand crafting. It gives people the false notion of what the term hand crafted truly means and devalues the time and skills of those (myself included) that take the effort to do it by hand. Not to say I hate machines, I'd love to have a bandsaw for resawing wide boards. And yes, most people don't honestly care how you dimension your material, but it's always so frustrating to me to see thickness sanders and the newfangled rotary shapers and absurd amounts of sandpaper when a plane, a spokeshave, a chisel and a rasp (okay, might as well throw in a scraper for good measure) would get you 99% there in equal or less time and relatively no dust. I wish I knew what he was making that finish out of, I've never seen that cooking process before
First rate! Enjoyed it very much. Brought memories from younger times when a girl tried getting me to build violins with her aging father..... Acceptance of this offer would have ended in wedlock. I passed........Mustn't waste life thinking back on the might have's....
Loving this video, music and craft. I am an Irish classic salmon-fly dresser and was looking for creative inspiration. I guess I have been inspired. Peaceful soul and happy heart make for fine creations. Blessed by The Creator.
MrPedrofoto I’m a trout and bass man by “calling” but I’ve been fascinated with salmon flies my entire life. In fact, I have this beautiful framed Jock Scott that was gifted to me by an old fly rod mentor on the wall behind my bed. No other lure type matches the beauty of the salmon fly
"Brian Lisus makes violins with love." Keeping your hands in contact with the wood - along with your heart, soul, and mind in an attitude of love and in giving to others - is how the love is built into the instrument. How will the love from a human spirit get into the wood when most of the work is done by a machine? Have you ever complimented a grandmother or aunt on how good her food was and they reply, "Thank you, sweetie... you're just tasting the love." What are they saying? "My skills are but humble, but my love for you is genuine. I put my heart of love for you into making this food for you to enjoy. If you are tasting something special, then it is the love and not my skills. " Love is the "secret sauce" for everything in life. Everything works smoother and is more successful with love. Cooking is an expression of love. So is instrument making. This isn't something that they put in books. It isn't something that science can identify and measure... but you can taste the difference, and you can hear the difference. Love is the secret sauce that makes everything in life work better.
I have seen this entire video a second time. With the background music and precise calm of the artisans, I have felt like the cat watching the work. He visto por segunda vez este video completo. Con la música de fondo y calma precisa de los artesanos, me he sentido como el gato que observaba el trabajo.
I think the cat makes the comment that expresses all there is to say about this artisan. I do not think I have seen anything as beautiful as the skill and purpose I have just seen except in creation.
Very, very nice video Brian! Thank you (and your wife?) for sharing this. I'm a student at the CMB in Belgium where I learn to make violins... and classical guitars. It's nice to see that you make the violin exactly in the way we are taught. I'm gone ask my teacher if he learned it from you :)) Love the christian background music. God bless!

Beautiful Music, and Skilled Hands, what could be more pleasurable. Wonderful way to spend 35 minutes. Bravo!!! Thank You!!!
I love how the kitty just wanders around so peacefully. It speaks to the character of the luthier. This brings me joy.
Spectacular video. Remarkable craftsmanship. I am stunned. Thank you for the inspiration. From Oregon USA.
the background music is as beautiful as the craftsman's exquisite skill
The scroll on the neck is perfection. Very excellent craftsmanship by the artists. And I mean artists.
Such a display of precision craftsmanship and art....all in one creation..... truly sublime....
the violins in this video play the most beautiful hymns ever.
Yes they do and I am old school church pianist and knew most all of them. Absolutely amazing and soothing to listen to.
Bom dia.....
É lindo demais o trabalho lutier
It must be wonderful to be such a skilled luthier.
What a fantastic way to use your time on this Earth.
From the Birth of Beauty to the Emergence of Sound. Deepest thanks for these precious moments shared in your company.

Yes, he crafts very well. His wife does, too. You see her doing quite a bit of the carving.
THAT WAS GOB SMACKING BRILLIANT...WOW!!
Title should be "Birth of a violin". You are bringing it to life.
Very awesome video, exquisite voice and performance of Lady Inessa Galante with

Magnificent. Such beautiful artistry!
The background sound track is really beautiful.👌🏻..

It is he walks with me. The name might be Come to the Garden. At least that first song. Beautiful on the violin, or perhaps it was a viola.

It must be hard work. Thank you for your love for the craft.

Truly the most beautiful work of art, thank you for sharing.
Very nice background music, used to go to church with Beverly, a wonderful lady.

I just want the violin neck to just dawdle over for hours. beautiful, especially the volute
Wow! How many luthiers can split a board "on the smallest dimension" with a hand saw. I'm already impressed!
Best camera work and shooting in a video on musical instruments making. Bravo!
Your talent is a gift to the world, thank you!
Utter perfection. Thank you for sharing this journey with me. I enjoyed every second.
I find that these instrument making videos are much better without music, and with the actual sounds of the working process.
Your opinion.
@@Dynamatrix2000 Never pretended that it was an absolute statement.
WOW, just wonderful. Thank you.
Thank you for the blessing of this inspiring video. watching you create on wood and the wonderful music gave me great calm. again thank you.
