*GaRrEtT* ....... where you been dude? Seriously, I hope you're doing okay and its great to see you back! All that sweet smoke trapped in those darn wires and boxes......release the smoke!!!! Your notification made my weekend! Stay well, be well. Let the destruction begin!!!!
Hey man, no idea if you're new here. Known about and watched this guy a very long time. Made a lil UA-cam poop with him in it actually. If he reads this then he can definitely ask for credit, although I thibk I put it in there somewhere. Anyhow, he's just VERY busy yanno?
@@bakedthepotato5489 10 years is not really new, just a lurker with a Cheshirecat grin when Garret gets destructive.
@@mr.hitchens oooooooooooooh. I apologize. Meeeeee too man. Good day my man.
@@mr.hitchens also. You seem kinda like me. Typing wise.
@@bakedthepotato5489 That was the most long-winded yet brazen self-promo i have ever seen
Garret’s barbecue and foot massage is now open in a Canadian city near you! Sponsored by Sony
grandma did you take the "normal" pills again
@@realchronal
🤣🤣🤣
And does it mean getting your feet massaged or being massaged by Garret's feet?

Ok Ok Know
Been watching this channel for about 7 years now and the content is still interesting me
Because blowing speakers never gets old.
I like to see the design improvements and "odd" style some of these modern speakers use too.
These are so readily available for free or cheap these days... When i was a kid in the early 90's you could find speakers in the trash or for cheap, but they were all 1- 5 watt pieces of junk with 0 bass response. I would have had some fun with these modern ones.
@@volvo09 i do alot of speaker blowout videos i posted one not long ago
For me like 3. I don’t watch it as much but I still watch it.
I'll never stop watching his videos, they still entertain me to this day
Since I was a little kid. Now 16.
Helping local business in time of need.
you'd definitely buy that for a dollar
Only 1 dolor
Ey it's good to see you back garret!
Just wanted to let you know Garret, you were the sole UA-camr who got me into the platform and tech/speaker abuse and just audio in general. Been watching since I was around 9 and here I am 13 years later about to turn 22. Still love your vids
Your one man camera action is awesome!
I can just see all of those speakers in Heaven all saying the same thing..."Garrett sent me."
36:05 Garret fixing a speaker to blow it up hahahahahah
Just when I thought I was going to finish building this home studio, I see this.
Putting things in the rack, and running cables can wait. Lol
Absolutely amazing Garret!!. I still love the videos to this day. And I always will. Also, you make me laugh!!. I was just laughing my head off as I'm watching this video!!. Keep up the AMAZING videos, All the best.
Alex.
Amazing that I just discovered your channel a few weeks back, would think after all these years I'd stumble upon this channel sooner through a yt recommendation!
Great video, Garret. The wait was well worth it!! Thanks!!
Glad to see you back. Thanks for another great video!
I love your long videos and blowouts, tons of fun to watch!
unlike most commenters I have seen so far, I _haven't_ been watching you for years
but this is exactly what this platform is for, and *exactly* the kind of stuff I want to watch
34:48 I had to keep going back to this as I wouldn’t stop laughing 😂
The god of speaker destruction has returned.
I still watch your old videos Garret from 2012, 2011 and even your videos from 2010!
I also watch few videos that were created in 2009 and even in 2008

Speaker blowouts
My favorite thing to watch on this channel
5:38 Those are Sony speakers from a projection tv. I got a pair of them. I actually dropped one and I ended up making a video about my attempt to repair it
I looked this up as well.
After all the years watching, I never realized till looked at your hammer that your initials are mine backwards haha
LOL my sister the klepto just walked out of Sears with one of these things back in the day.
She said there was absolutely no store workers around.
She very much misses Sears and their unadvertised five-finger discounts.
Welcome back Garret, glad i could make the premiere :3
Dude I just read your username, electronics and urbex are literally my 2 favourite things. Have a subscriber!
@@jacvic0790 I'll have to return to content creation in that case :)
@@bandbgamesroom you got 666 subs bc i gaved a sub
Finally after 10000 billion years he uploaded
Philipino smoke has a tangy taste to it. That's the original Covid, Garrett...
the designer for that RCA subwoofer put all the budget towards the quality of that subwoofer and forgot to put any money towards the cabinet lmfao
A good 50 minutes of speaker blowing fun!
Our boi back at it again -good to see you-
Great Video Garret. Love your stuff
Good job garret it's good to see that u r here 👍 😀 🙌
Nice that you are back and healthy, i missed your rough laughing :D
Bring on the smoke and melted Coils!!!
AMAZING .... after a long time a new video .... i missed it :)
Too bad i wasn't awake to see this, Great video!
That subwoofer That he painted on was whistling from the port That was very cool
I smell some burned coils :D
careful Garret that sound bar is sharp lol!
Other youtubers opening a speaker: Cutting slowly in it.
Garret: Hamer in the hole!
9:27 I have that Onkyo speaker in the background. The tweeters in those things suck! The last thing you want in a center speaker. They sound boomy too. I am sure you’d get a real laugh out of the surround speakers to those sets. They are around the size of normal 5 inch bookshelf speakers, but only 4 inches deep. The only driver inside of them is a little 2.75 inch full range in the bottom left corner! The only good thing is that they can take a beating and not blow, unlike the RCA speakers with similarly tiny drivers.
The twetter never dies
RCA = Recommended Claridge Armageddon...
Nice video its good seeing you back
Always love watching your videos
Finally you posted some insane stuff again! Like automatically! With love from Russia
that dual voice coil oval speaker looks like some of the speakers they used to use in some high end tv sets.
Thank you for upload video Garret!
Have you tried the little Visio 5.1 system they have at Walmart for under $200? To use and not to blow up :)
Usually ignore that lower priced stuff, but that little system exceeds all my expectations. I believe it has a DSP subwoofer as it goes too low without boomyness for how small it is. Rear speakers are wireless (wired into wireless sub at least).
Perhaps too small for living room as made for 42" class TV, but a bedroom system...very nice 5.1 decoding and sound quality.
my friend’s family has those set up. not gonna lie, i was surprised by how good they sounded. not audiophile quality mind you, but still pretty decent especially for the price.
been watching since day1 love u bro
I have seen the dual coil oval cones before. The used to have them in the old teletubes, and I have seen a few laptops that use them.
Great to see you dude top video as usual 🙏👏👏👏👏👏👏👍👍👍👍👍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐😉
i own that exact samsung set and tbh it doesn't sound bad, of course it gets obliterated by monitors or bookshelves but they were about almost nearly as good as my klipsch promedia 2.1s. And I agree with garret that they did look pretty cool lol. And those specific Samsung speakers did have an upgraded version in other htibs that had a real tweeter and vacuum tube too
Шнат ?
Hahahaha you're still doing it, i haven't heard from you for like over a decade lol
The 2 odd woofer from the parts bin look like Philips! The codes on the back look a lot like it!
When are you going to test some of your favorite speakers, like Logitech ones?
This one gunna be good!
I love that "NO SMOKING" sign in the background!!! BTW, I think your speakers would last a little bit longer if you used less power!!!! "Scotty, we need less power!!!"
You’re back!
This guy is a legend!
should've connected one of the voice coils in the dual voice coil centre channel speaker with an inverted phase, so while one side was going out, the other would be going in. i would expect lots of coil rub
edit: you said that my bad
I absolutely hate fake tweeters
Right on! love your videos! Been a sub since the davepeedofarm days, haha that guy was a goof! later dude!
lol more of a goof than anyone knew for sure, some odd ideas would come up constantly when he was drinking sounding more like he was trying to set up soft core porn than anything, The one I remember most is he kept pitching the idea that I should put duct tape on the bottom of my feet and stomp on Christmas ordainments ahahhaaa
14:35 that look on your face though😂
Nice!! A new video of garret claridge is what i need
30:42 mEhH got me laughing
hey garret this is mr William did you know I blow out speakers as well and I love your videos and I am a fan of your UA-cam channel thank you mr William.
The legend Blowout speaker
Did anyone realize garret said the last sub was sealed but it had a port on the back?
You should have a killswitch for the amp on the side of your table. The moment the speakers blows you flip the switch. Be nice to your amps mate.
Well that killswichts is called protecion as soon as there is a short amp will shut of
YESSS YOU'R BACK 😁
I love these videos
that rca driver took a hell of alot of abuse :-) . Good video :)

You’ve been getting more subs when you posted your vid . That’s good close to 100k
Yessss fuck yes your back omfg
We had to wait 4 months for this one
awesome thanks Garret !
wow that samsung sub sounded pretty good lol
Great video as always! I've been watching your older vids quite regularly recently just to wait for this new video came out! I wonder does your Peavey CS-800 amp still alive? Coz I didn't see it appear in your video anymore
oh man, it died in 2010 but i still have it, now I use a pair of DCM2000 by carvin and a pair of AP3000 by yorkville along with a few other amps and active gear
R.I.P Garrett's CS-800 amplifier. May it always be remembered... (But seriously I didn't know about this until today lol.)
What happened to his teeth? I'm not bullying or anything but I'm just curious.
Calcium deficiency that runs in his family, teeth crumble away
Next one, you try give them real watt they said at back label, I have panasonic and LG home theater they said 1000 watt but back amp label only said 100 Watt😅
The panasonic speaker they said 125 watt, I open it the magnet driver only 30-40 watt
I never trust labeled wattage, only magnet wattage, and even that might be too high lol
That first speaker with the weird two voice coils and tweeter was actually very impressive and interesting to see!
Those home cinema cabinets are always terible but their subwoofer dirvers are usually pretty nice and beefy. Lots of fun to be had with those. Eastech drivers are actuelly really beefy.
Edit: And WOW are soundbars still terrible as always.
The speakers at 5:28 are the Sony KP-51WS520 1-825-525-11 TV speakers.
Welcome back, Garret!
I couldn't help but notice, though... your teeth? What happened?
same like wth
I'm curious aswell, But i didn't ask since its none of my business
@@FPSzky Same here
bone deficiency sadly, at the moment all my teeth have been extracted... during this video I had three teeth that did not snap off on their own and the rest were still in my face broken off and causing pain (can really notice some words i messed up due to this) The video took so long for me to edit because I was super sick from the dentist and the whole process of getting out all the broken teeth really messed me up haha
@@GarretClaridgeMeerkat i hope you get better!
The RCA bandpass "sub" definitely took a good beating and the DVC passive Samsung sub isn't bad at all for a HTiB bass extension. It's probably not very musical, but it does dip rather low. I'd grab one if I can find one dirt cheap. For now my passive sony subs (WSB-101 & WSB-104) will have to do. They don't extend that low at all, but they have pretty beefy drivers.
Garret finally uploaded a blowout video
nice video haha. that bigger samsung sub wasn't half bad ngl
