As of time of writing, the current consensus is that Elvis died due to taking drugs that raised his blood pressure (among other things) and then proceeded to require to excrete waste. When excreting waste, the large number of dilating blood vessels in the area causes a momentary drop in blood pressure. Elvis' blood pressure being so high from drugs suddenly dropping so low due to heavy excretion caused a heart attack due to the acute stress placed on his heart.
So Joel will probably get a kick out of the fact that Elvis died from a !@#$ causing a heart attack.
Also he was on a massive cocktail of different prescription drugs, as you alluded to, among which was opiates. Chronic opiate use causes like, medically significant constipation, and in combination with his terrifying diet and pill popping he basically had dried cement inside his colon. It's entirely possible that just the strain of trying to pass his bowel bricks made him pop something, especially with his aforementioned high blood pressure. He was on the toilet for hours before anyone checked on him, because this was a regular occurrence for him.

Spent $120 on a Giant Pikachu popping balloons for my GF. She kept whining about how bad she wanted it and every time she did the carnie smiled cause he knew I was screwed so about 80 in I was like dude. How much and I will just buy it I HAVEN'T MISSED a balloon yet. He was like Ohhh another $40 should do it. I just threw it down and was like give me the fucking thing. BUT to be fair. IT WAS LEGIT NINTENDO IMPORT FROM JAPAN!!! To actually buy one and mail it to the US at the time was like $140?!!?!? He actually did me a solid. the cheapest I found at the time was like 115 after taxes.

Moraff's Escapade (another game made by Moraff) was actually first introduction into Shareware. I didn't even know what shareware was at the time, as I played it when I was about 8 or 10 years old. I still have the disc it was on, Galaxy of Games 3, and still to this day never played the "full" version of it.
Thank you Joel for reintroducing me to my childhood! I think you would actually like his version of Escapade. Fun fact: his Morejongg uses assets from Escapade as the tiles.
The funny thing about that Moraff person though, they made a couple of pretty sweet dungeon crawler games (Moraff's World) that I played the shareware versions like crazy and have a copy of the second one to this day (Though it obviously doesn't run on modern systems anymore)
I'm glad I'm not the only one who remembers these. As a teen I really enjoyed Moraff's World as a horrible 16-colour eyesore with very addictive gameplay. I would love to see Joel play any of this series

Imagine the carnie's perspective here. Some guy wins a poo first try, strikes a Jojo pose and bellows "CRIPPLING GAMBLING ADDICTION ATTACK!!!" You catch a disorganized ball of cash as this strange man impersonates a pachinko machine flinging coins into the slot of the claw game. Watching on in mixed amounts of amusement and terror this strange swede comes down his last coin. The man begins quietly and unintelligibly monologuing as he inserts the last coin. The claw goes down. It grabs on to a toy in the bin. The fingers of claw slip slowly and painfully off the edge of the toy as it goes up. The toy falls back into the bin. The man loudly screeches NANI?! and hunches over in utter defeat. Witnessing that this strange guy clearly has more problems than you, it may just be best to appease him with a bear plushie. I mean he did drop like $70 bucks after all and gave you minutes of entertainment.
I love watching these videos. They remind me of when I would spend endless afternoons exploring stuff on my mom's computer and trying out CD-ROMS

I had (and still have the cd for) Kids Wincube and played it so much as a kid. It’s a part of a big set of cheap windows educational games. I always enjoyed Quenzar’s Revenge. And the baby game was always horrible lol. I never realized how many weird messages the creators snuck into their games. I played the walnuts game a ton too haha

Some of those games I had (or still have) on my Shareware discs, such as the "Microman" (1:01:17) "Chicken Windows Application" (1:09:00), "Zeek the Geek" (1:32:52), (maybe) "Bang! Bang!" (1:52:50), "Destroyer for Windows" (1:56:50) and "Slam!" (2:01:27)

I’m a lil to this party. But I had all the first edition cards mint in sleeves. Started by selling all my repeats (many 1st edition charizards. Included. They weren’t uncommon at that time) I ended up selling them for like $300 like 25 years ago. I was stoked when I was 13 or 14. I haven’t even wanted to look at what it’s worth not. Let alone all my beta mtg cards I sold and traded away 😢😢😢
