Gary, here in New Zealand there is a relatively new variety available from nurseries called Cleopatra. There's not much info about it that i can find, other than its a dwarf variety, B type flowering, apparently has larger fruit than a hass and darkens on the tree when ripe. I'm wondering whether it might be known by some other name overseas perhaps. I have one which I will plant out after our winter, just wondering if you have ever heard of it?
I have not heard of it but the more the merrier. I have a bunch of unamed varieties I need to fiddle aorund with. Always good to get another dwarf. Hopefully it will hit our shores soon and we can try it out
It's funny how my bacon avocado tree's fruit is ready right around September. Here in Florida I can't leave mine on the tree for very long because they tend to split.
Great video Gary! Keep em coming.
I wish you and your family the best.
Finally someone that gives bacon respect, they are great.
I know this is an older video but dang, that burrito looks so stinking good. And how it was fixed up at the end, fantastic.
Nice taste test! We too love our Bacon's. But Gery it's pronounced H-ASS. THANKS FOR ALL THE GREAT AVOCADO VIDEOS.
Frank Yancy my former HGTV Producers always cringed at my pronunciation of “pool” and “foliage” as well.
Poooouhl

Best description of Bacon ever!
I heard that you can eat skin of the Mexicola avocado variety.

To think some people don’t ‘get’ avocados!
You didn't stick around for the pain at the end? lol
a spoon works wonders for peeling ripe avocados ;)
