man, both this and the east beast sound so good. and that price is ridiculous, i just paid more than that for a guitar pedal. will definitely be picking one of them up.
That look fun. I ordered one today and a Buddy just got his east today. Richard, his crew and the crew at Cr8audio really was such a good thing. Companies worthy of get my ca$h and being completely stoked evertime. Thanks

Would this be a bad choice for my first semi modular synth? I have a Volca Keys, Sample2, a Behringer VS pro mini, a couple of Monotrons and an Akai MPK mini play. I'm looking to dip my toe into semi modular and really dig the sounds you can get from west coast style synths. I was looking at the Volca Modular but I know I'll hate the patch "Wires" it uses and the tiny knobs. Other than that I love the sounds.

Way too much talking and too little playing. For example: 3:38 thru 4:41 talks about the Wave Folder then Dynamics Controller, but doesn't play a single note to explain how they alter the sound. Then they explain the LFO but the only demo is a flashing LED
Hi L W. There's a different power connection when using the East Beast/West Pest as Eurorack modules. They use the standard ribbon connectors found inside a Eurorack case. So you wouldn't need the original power switch and power supply. -_Daniel_
I believe Arturia's Buchla Easel V virtual synth does polyphonic. Being a VST, they were able to add lots of interesting goodies like a sequencer, etc.
To anybody that’s considering buying this synthesizer, save your money. You’re not gonna get it to sound like it does on the demo. Worst synthesizer I’ve ever bought. I’ve been using synthesizers for about 20 years.
I just bought my pest ...... Love your product ❤ RDO

If it was mentioned here, I missed it, but in another overview Richard noted that the osc is based on the Voltage Lab!
Really wish they would make some more of those. I missed the boat and it's pricey to get on now.
Two of the best demonstrators around. Awesome stuff all round. Thanks guys.
Got one of these and thought it was broken. I need to watch more demos and see how it works. It's really different from my Roland and Korg

I have the West Pest. And it is wonderous.
It should ship almost any day now. I am so excited to get one! Crazy how good it sounds even over the youtube internet.
Mines a couple of days out. I CAN'T WAIT OMGOMGOMG
Excellent presentation Richard!
Pittsburgh Modular is so constantly reliable with their products. They just get better all the time.

Great synth! Thanks.
does it only do percussion? Quite choppy. I think I would want a sustain control. Palette of sound??? I heard only one sound.
Check out some of the other videos as well for more sounds. And if you extend the decay length you can do drones.
Check out some other videos. It has quite an array of sounds ❤ RDO
Looks good, will be getting this.
Sounds like a hybrid between traditional analog and digital FM.

What happens when one plugs the west coast into the 0-Coast?

Thanks for saving me the time
Really isn't that great of a demo....it definitely didn't do anything to sell me on one
Can’t wait to pair one with my mostly west coast style Eurorack 🤠
I’m getting one to pair with my almost entirely east coast Eurorack…
keystep has cv outs,, which outs can be used,,, to which inputs on west p///
Curious if this pittsburgh modular guy is a graduate of Carnegie Melon?
That’s basically how time travel works as well
when mounting westpest into an eurorack: what aboutunmounting the power switch and power supply etc?

Well, where is the Attack setting ?
that's actually the pest part
Its plucky
Has anyone ever made a West Coast polyphonic?

Er, I bought one and it sounds exactly like the demo.
Thanks. I’m gonna go with the texture lab
