The altitude and the elevation gas fireplaces are our two most popular models that Napoleon offers in a traditional gas fireplace. These units are the same in many ways, but we will discuss what Is different about them as well.
Lets start with what is the same:
The options are all the same between the two models, both come as a 36” or a 42” fireplace. And the fronts are the same for the fireplaces, offering a clean face design, finishing trims in copper and charcoal, along with more ornate fronts like the arched Whitney with nickel accents. Also both models boast 4 different log set choices, birch, split oak, driftwood and maple. They also feature blower kits, remote controls and night lights. Also they have bluetooth features as well so you can control the fireplaces from your smart phone.
What is different about the fireplaces?:
The elevation is a deeper fireplace so its physically larger even though the window size is the same. The burner in the elevation is also elevated up higher so in my opinion the fire fills up the box a little better as well as the logs just being beefier overall. From a performance standpoint. The elevation features a split flow valve system, what this means is you can control the burners independently for a greater turn down range which is nice. Elevation also features a front LED Light strip which looks pretty attractive.
Dont forget if your in the Denver Colorado Area dont forget to visit our showroom in person.

Honestly, although I’ve been scheming on a larger unit, that 36” Altitude had a beautiful full firebox. I really think I’ve switched gears on this. The Altitude didn’t have the raised burner, but it looked fabulous anyway. Thanks for another great video.

*Very easy to set up and use, attractive but be sure you understand the height--it's not tall. The heat is not overwhelming, but steady and pleasant fireplace **fireplace.homes** . It's quiet, too. I like the possibility of easily moving it from room to room in the event we want supplemental heat elsewhere. Definitely a good buy.*

Mendota is our best heater. Napoleon is more affordable and good quality. I would personally go with mendota if I had to make the choice.

Are there any gas fireplaces that don’t have any bezel or face? We’re building a new house, and my wife wants the surrounding tile to go right up to the fireplace opening.

If u can vent up or out. Sometimes the venting cost in odd places can be a deal breaker.
Outside walls are easy venting horizontal or vertical.
Interior walls can be more challenging, hence often higher costs.
