MiniArt. God bless them. The only model company that can take an item like a starter part for an engine, break it down to no less than 30 parts and 20 steps then cover the whole thing up with plastic never to be seen again.
In my opinion, it is on par with the new Hurricane Mk. Arma Hobby 1/48 IIc to receive the title of kit of the year (new mold)
How can you possibly call this KIT OF THE YEAR without even building it. It could go together like ass, in which case it doesn’t matter how detailed it is.

We should keep an eye on this company, as it seems to be setting new standards of quality. It's like Eduard and Tamiya merged into one. I can only hope that one day they will try their hand at Axis subjects.
They do a few 1/35 helicopters....

Thank you for the video - interesting moulding and clever design in some areas - but....too many little holes (rivets?) - panel lines not state of the art - rough surface texture - same (worldwide ignored) clear part illness as all east european manufacturers - and typical miniart:too many sprue conectors on delicate parts - not a bad kit, but (for me) it is (in mind whats possible today) clearly not the model of the year - sorry...

Surface looks a bit rough. Clear parts are NOT distortion free and a bit thick. Apart from that: I WANT IT!!! 😃👍
Also if it isn't my scale, it's a wonderful model, pratically you could build it OOB without adding anything, only a little, marginale complaint, I would've added a standing pilot 's figure, just to show what huge beast was the P47!

They got the gun ports wrong. All are in line with each while on the actual aircraft they were angled up and to left on port wing and up and to the right on the starboard wing. Perhaps quick boost or some other AM company will provide some resin/3d printed inserts with the correct configuration.

I can see it in European shops but not in American. I assume it's so new it did not reach the other side of the pond.
Your presentation and photography highlights an excellent looking kit. I'm jumping the gun here but I'm hoping for a "Razorback" version soon. Don't get me wrong, I'll eventually get the "Bubbletop" kit but I already have one on the shelf and would like a P-47D to set beside it.

It looks as if MINIART has done immaculate justice to the Jug. My favorite US fighter from WW2, can't wait for the build!
Let's not forget Arma Hobby's Hurricane. A serious rival for kit of the year. We, modelers are very lucky. For the past years Eduard was a step forward compared to any other competitors. Some outsiders are doing better now. I wonder how Eduard will react. 2024 will be Very exciting
They could react by supplying decals that aren’t a lottery!
Wouldn't say it was KIT OF THE YEAR it does have a few problems, some of the newer Airfix kit's are much better the 1/48 Avro Anson and 1/48 Sea King being just a couple of examples 🤔

I reviewed this kit last week, but my example exhibited much more flash on some of the parts and the clear parts, (especially the canopy) had a lot of distortion, so they seems to be some variance in the production run. Nice review vid. 👍🏻
I noticed the complete absence of flash on these sprues - peculiar!
I agree with you Peter, my example does have some flash and the clear parts being particularly poor !!! don't think it's as well engineered as the Tamiya kit with their wing spar construction🤔

Agree entirely . This means nothing without building it . Unpainted would be best .
the kit is amazing its just a shame that the resolution on that nose art decal is TERRIBLE, one of the worst ive ever seen actually.
Maybe....but I'll be doing the other option....reminds me of the ancient 1/72 Revell I built as a kid!
