this was such an incredible day filled with stoke. i’m so grateful and humbled by the support on the channel. here’s to lots of pow days this winter! 🤘🏽
Thanks for making these videos!!! The joy you are receiving skiing already this year is so infectious!!! So cool that you are already running into channel watchers on the hill who come and say hello! Let me know if you saw the comment I left on the last video about how to get the Diesel heater cleared of soot build-up. I think that will correct the issues happening now. Is your heater one of the ones that compensates for high altitudes? If not, at some point, perhaps an upgrade to unit that can deal with higher elevations would be something to consider. I know there are now some inexpensive Chinese ones with automatic altitude calibration. Don't want you to freeze your baby batter storage devices off on cold nights. Looking forward to the next video, Cheers, Mo-
hey morgan. thanks for watching the videos! i did see the comment you left on the other video! thank you for the advice. it seems to be working well now at the lower elevations! and yes the heater i have has a built in altimeter to compensate the air/fuel mix, but it seems to be struggling at the elevation of 11k feet. appreciate all the support and wisdom as always!
When Breck opens, if you're looking to park overnight close to the mountain check out the airport lot. The signs say no overnight parking but they never check it on the south side of the lot, and it's completely free. First time watching your videos but I'm checking out all the summit early season ones I see. If you end up parking there look for the Vermont plates on a truck camper, that's me haha.
Those unplanned ski days always turn out to be some of the best ones. Love seeing you get the recognition and love you deserve on the slopes 🤙🏻 congrats on scoring the first mini pow day of the szn!!
love the passion and effort you put into this. Been following since end of S1. Hands down most best ski vlogs. You feel the enthusiasm this guy brings to skiing and that is absolute treasure.
Awesome! So happy to watch your new adventure (midweek buggies) just “because” you feel like it! 🤘 Soooo stoked for you and our snow season. Peace bro! CASA!
I’m jealous! Unfortunately the ski resorts here in France are opening later in the year than usual (the first ones won’t open before mid/end of November, some big ones even risk not opening at all) because of electricity becoming too expensive. You’re living the life! 😎🤘🏽
My diesel heater worked fine at a basin and on top of Loveland pass, probably just air in your fuel line and running it again or twice more would clear it
The fried chicken at birdcraft (inside the brewery) is insanely good. Make sure you try it next time you are there. It was right next to where you parked
Loving the stoke! Just pulled the trigger on renting a van for a couple days after Christmas to roam around the Colorado Rockies because of these videos
Publix cowboy chicken is super good you can look that up for full recipe and amounts but it’s super easy. it’s just chicken rice beans corn spinach/ kale or mix maybe some tomatoes stir fry up I like to add red pepper flakes.
you should open your gas tank when you get up to elevation to equalize your pressure to see if it helps heat your van. unsure it this will work but might be worth a try.
YAAAAAAAS BROTHA! Love it. I’m back to dreaming about being on the slopes while I watch your vlogs from NYC. Can’t wait to get out. Keep going. I hope I’m lucky enough to bump into you on the slopes. ✌️
A group of friends and I have gone to copper mountain (highly underrated IMO) 6 years in a row. Silverthorne/lake dillon have become a second home in the winter… such a great place. Also, HIGHLY recommend the brewery in the parking lot you stayed in. Even if you just go for food… top tier.
Dude I’ve been wanting to go to copper bad! I was supposed to go last year after winter park but fell super Ill. Might try to hit their opening day this year!
Great video as always! Thank you Lucas❤Can’t wait for the upcoming season to start! I planned my first road trip after watching your videos, going to hit CO, WY, MT and UT this winter. Any advice for me in terms of driving in the winter conditions? It’s my first time, so I am very excited but nervous in the mean time. I got chains and winter tires already. Wish to be as prepared as possible, if I could get some advice from you! Keep spreading the stoke!
thank you! so stoked for your road trip to those epic locations. it sounds like you are already prepared with snow tires and chains! dont be nervous - just take it slow if the roads are bad and i highly recommend driving during the daytime rather than at night if possible. also, make sure you have good windshield wipers and washer fluid! always wait a bit in the morning for the plows to clear the road and travel on interstates where possible!
@@LucasCatania17 ooh 👎👎 I have the D2. Lived in Colorado for 18 months, had constant cut out issues ... Moved to Washington (not related, however FYI), eventually tested without the altitude sensor... Ran perfect for days. Got a replacement altitude sensor, never installed it. I wish I had found the issue 2 years back... Reach out to support. It's so good being toasty warm, leaving the heater running 24 hours to keep the batteries warm. Warm batteries run waaaay longer.
@@LucasCatania17 on the thermastat yeah... Because batteries getting cold causes them to run out faster than running the heater to keep them warm, in my experience.
They said they installed a small park? Have you seen it? I know some pretty good spots with low noise, privacy and one that is rarely plowed in the am if you need any.
Dude! Since you have so much dialogue in your videos why don't you wear a lav mic and sync the audio later? Such great editing bro, I like how you match the music to the clips, and it makes it so satisfying to watch, keep it up, so excited for this season!

Take a few runs down Loveland Pass around the corner from Abasin.
