Walking actually improves the pain, I feel great when I walk. There are usually no obvious stress points when in motion, only when I am on my feet all day will I notice at the end of the day some discomfort. But when just sitting, kneeling or in any other stationary position, whew, then there are stress points. I guess we all answer our own questions: moving, moving, moving. It just does us no good to not keep moving.

Years ago I was taking martial arts courses and I tore my cartilage in my right knee after stretching it out without any thought of possible damage, I was young and naive, a few years later I was prepped for surgery, 'Just before the surgery I sat in a hot tub and forced my knee straight, the pain went away and I had no resistance whatsoever, I called my doctor and told him of the good news....he laid down a strip of swear words I can't repeat here!

But Seemed to help some for arthritic knee pain.I called to set up another shot in September and they told me the price went up to $1700. Right, with a high deductible insurance it is pretty much the same thing than out of pocket costs. But if the procedure is important enough I am willing to pay for that.
But I sure will try other things before I fork out that much money. I know some exercises I had to do for weeks and weeks and months religiously to find relief. But I am always so happy when I can resolve it and don't have to book a doctor's appointment.

I couldnt get a timely appointment to figure out my injury due to covid taking up all the hospitals time. I ended up with articular cartilage damage and probobly more as a knee specialist was never recommended. Like my life has just been purely unlucky with no relief. I'm just really hoping I dont have this pain for the rest of my life, I really dont know if I can take it.

Hi, I am on my feet most of the day as am a carer for my wife, I have a large garden to take care of, I also play bowls and golf weather permitting? I do between 5000 to 20.000 steps a day, had the x-ray and there is no wear and tear on my knee. Yet I get sharp pains in my right knee, it has improved when swinging the leg back and forth standing on my left leg, but if I were to twist my right foot out to the right, I receive a sharp pain! I have tried all the so called knee relieve cream which are no use, injections
I do not think is a remedy, just a quick fix! I am a 70 year old Scot, so maybe the cold weather is not helping! But the tip you gave about swinging the leg 10 times before putting the weight on the foot before walking on it to do your normal day is worth a try - many thanks!

We are sorry you are experiencing this! Without knowing your specific situation, we wouldn't be able to guess at what is wrong. Have you seen your physician?

@@BobandBrad no I have not seen a physician but I plan to because I'm only 19 years old and I have had a herniated disk for more than 6 months and I got a shoulder injury too a month ago which also I can't find out anything about anywhere and yes the back and shoulder are both my doing.

I have a birth defect in my feet (skew foot) & have had many failed surgeries. Now I'm in severe pain & my feet are very twisted inside. Trying to walk like that every day has taken a toll on my knees. I wear braces as I can't walk in normal footwear & these don't appear to be helping anymore. It sucks to have such crappy feet & all you can do is sit. I went from walking 10k every day to sitting every day, all day.

Was thinking of adding more Turmeric to my cooking. These folks from Azerbaijan have these wonderful cooking videos on U-Tube. I noticed they add Turmeric to many dishes.
