Lawrence Wilkerson is a retired Colonel of the United States Army. Col. Wilkerson served for 31 years in the US Army, which included a position as Special Assistant to the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff from 1989-1993. Later, Col. Wilkerson served as the Chief of Staff for Secretary of State Colin Powell from 2002-2005.

I never walked into Amazon's trap and very proud of it. I don't need them, nobody does actually.
Well, if you are rural it's pretty hard to not use Amazon. The second option would be Walmart (online) but that's really the same thing - the two beasts that put all the brick and mortars out of business.

I have been speaking loudly on this issue not buying from Amazon for years.
I had to a couple of times to get some important books I needed.I had a friend to do that for me.
If people would stop, it would be a great help, possibly at the most it would help the workers to receive the opportunity to be unionized. Other big companies also are on the list, so many. Thank you, Col. Wilkerson for being the man that you are. and Community Church of Boston for having people speaking truth , in addition playing and singing beautiful music which has deep meaning.

I canceled my Amazon account too. If I can't get it locally I go without. It really is not that hard. You don't have to pay shipping charges when you go to a local store to pick up whatever you need. Wouldn't it be wonderful if the mom and pop stores make a huge comeback? unique unique
Exactly! It could even resurrect the inner cities in Europe where the shopping took place before it went Amazon. Boycotting useless social media. We will bring us back our time lost and hopefully make us meet friends in the analogue world.

Amazon should be dismantled through Anti-monopoly legislation. Why anyone thinks giving that much power to a corporation is a good thing because of personal convenience has always been beyond me.

We are low income but refuse to buy from Amazon. We look up the seller (on occasion) and buy direct if we need to.

I have never used Amazon and never wanted to. I like going to stores and seeing the product and supporting smaller businesses whenever possible . I also try to buy less.
Col. Wilkerson really knows what e is talking about. I have completely cut-off Amazon. EBay is a great alternative to Amazon.

I have basically boycotted Amazon from their very beginning. The reasons for doing so have grown over the years. About three times since their inception I've had to get something through them. They're pretty easy to avoid.
Edit: Col. Wilkerson could probably purchase his fishing flies directly from their makers in Germany.
