    Nice video! Really helpful. Just one step I didn’t see you do & I always do: take out the guide pins in the calipers, clean them off & lubricate them. I had a tough time getting them off once coz they were dried in there & stuck. Very simple step to add. Thank you m8

      Question I got the passenger caliper by turning the wrench down, how about the driver side do I pull the wrench up or down to get it off? I'm having a very hard time. Thanks

      @@josephlombardo830 I done the job a few weeks ago. I used ACD Advantage rotors and pads. The job went smoothly. I did have to file the rust from the caliper brackets to allow the pads to go in easily. I've driven 4K kilometres since and alls well. Thanks again.

    When you're pushing the caliper piston back in... You can use the Old brake pad.nd push them both in at the same time. 😁

    If you plan to do your own brakes/rotors, eventually take the money you save and buy tools to make it easier. I eventually bought a good 3 ton jack on sale to save my scissor jack for the truck. after couple times using it, i started bending the parts on the jack. would rather save it for emergency and didn't know about the lazy man way, good tip :D
    Another good tool is a cheap electric impact gun, makes taking off lugnuts, caliper mounting bolts, suspension bolts like for shocks very easy.
    also nicoclub.com is a good reference for service manuals.

    • @josephlombardo830
      @josephlombardo830  3 роки тому +2

      I also have the 3 ton jack, but it makes imprints in my driveway when I use it if I don't lay a board down underneath it. Maybe its the weight of your truck that gave your scissor jack a hard time. I agree that an impact gun does make everything easier, but I figured a lot of people don't have one and I wanted to use more common tools. Thanks for the input.

    Друг, переверни колодки в верх ногами, что бы антискрип и отжим были сверху. Ты ошибся при установке. И обязательно смазывай пальцы направляющие, иначе закиснут.

    • @josephlombardo830
      @josephlombardo830  3 роки тому +2

      These rotors and pads were holding up a lot better than when the factory rotors were on there. I did trade in the vehicle recently, so I would not be able to tell you how long they will last, but it has been a year since they were changed and they still had a lot of life left in them
