For me, what you all sell is the inspiration but also time savings. Almost every episode I research a 2-3 websites, article, a people, podcasts etc that might be useful in what I want to achieve. Things I would not have neither time to find or qualify worthwhile but you all already did some of that heavy lifting..

You guys could not be more wrong on this. Thomas Tull did NOT start the trend of Private Equity in Hollywood. This has been a practice in the industry for the past 40 years. And he also was NOT the first to utilize data for film financing.
So, who did? Where did it all start?
Yeah I wouldn't trust these guys to be right. I usually only listen to them for business idea.

Sam, I've worked with accountants (digital marketing) and a lot of them don't like to invest in finding clients off tax season, 3 months before tax season they want to throw all their money towards ads and marketing. A lot even take a few months of vacation after season. Just an insight I've learned.
Sam, why not partner with a private equity firm that buys accounting practices?
Or partner with a small search fund that buys accounting practices?
Or do it for all professional services businesses that are more word of mouth.

Have you guys been living in a cave? Thomas Tull is famous and a big shot. But he’s not exactly a pioneer of using data for movie production. The practice is widespread across all of the major studios. Some just do it better than others.
