How far would you plant from the sidewalk edge so when it reaches a height of about 6 feet tall, it is up along the edge of the sidewalk without growing into it?

How long do they need to be watered daily? I’m an irrigation tech in Naples Florida, and I’ve seen more dead Podocarpus than any other plant.
You are correct, once they are established they are vert drought tolerant, but they are a biatch to get established without excellent irrigation.
