Drop-Key doors have a reputation for becoming dis-attached like this (becuase of the way they are designed). A similar issue happened to me on an old Express Elevator, where one of the shaft door panel got stuck open and had dis-attached itself from the car doors. Most elevators don't have this issue anymore becuase modern elevators in most countries use the Delta-Key, or Triangle Key, which uses a different locking system, thus this shouldn't happen on those doors. Unfortunately, the US decided to make Drop-Key standard instead of Delta Key......
I had a situation like this before. It was a Dover Impulse elevator and I got off the elevator with my Dad and my Brother when the door closed well the indoor closed but the outside didn't close. So we took the one of the other elevators down to the lobby and we told them what happened. When we came back a couple hours later, that day it was fixed and both doors closed properly.
This is why newer elevators such as the Schindler 5500 use door skates that do not retract perpendicular to the door panels. This prevents the doors from sepeerating. The 330a uses a skate similar to that of GAL and MAC (Montgomery), which is prone to this.
According to that information and the panel looks, it seems to be an older 330A install thats probably from the early 2000’s. I think newer HT elevators have that upgrade too.
I don't think opening the interlock is too dangerous unless the lift is between floors. Since the lift was stopped at a floor, it is pretty safe to manually open the door.
I had an issue with an Otis Lexan where I got stuck as a result of a Door Issue as well, and I had no choice but to pry the doors open and escape as the phone didn't work!!!
I had the same elevator and problem too, i was stuck for about 30 minute cause idk what to do, in that time, call and alarn does not work, i might try to open the outer door, and its working, i try and try again finally it open, and i let the door closed so nobody can enter.
I was actually hearing rumors about how schindlers elevators are really going down hill but I dont believe that I always thought they made really awsome elevators.
The only time I ever got stuck in an elevator was when I was nine years old. I was at a restaurant (Border Cafe) in Cambridge, MA after seeing the movie "Coraline" in the theater. For some reason I checked out the elevator. It was either that I just felt like checking it out, or I just needed to get to the restroom and the elevator was worth riding, so I get in with my father, the door closes. The elevator wouldn't even move. And much like with this Schindler, the buttons wouldn't stay lit when I press them. I was stuck for what I believe could have been around ten minutes. Thankfully, I was there with other people who were outside the elevator. I believe at one point my father took his phone and called one of those people. So I believe either my mom or my aunt, possibly alongside my younger sister, called the elevator, and the door opens. Also for the record, I don't recall the brand, but I still remember it having EPCO WN fixtures. The restaurant is good, in fact I have other locations of it closer to my house, but the elevator here was an abomination.
It was on a Schindler RT in the West Deck the 5500s are in the Orange Parking. I believe Schindler is maintaining them but I think it's more Simons fault.
If i was you, i would of been left the elevater because man, you see that shit and play with it trying to fix it you gonna regret it later because you can get really stuck. If i was you i would of been left😫😂😱
I’m sure they have other elevators in the building, but they are just not together in banks like many other hotels. I’ve stayed at a Holiday Inn Express and the elevators were apart from each other.
@@elevcarwashsirensandmore21 Oh I didn’t see that video, but thank you for telling me. If that’s the case, I think there needs to be more than one elevator for a building like this.
At least you can get out of here since the inner door was open. I hope the table is heavy enough to hold the outer door open so it will not close up. You shouldn't have kept the outer door close so no one can get in the broken elevator. You shouldn't had done that.
Even though it takes less time to get somewhere in a elevator i would raver take the stairs (even if it was 6 floors) then take a elevator for this very reason
I got stuck in a fright elivator once when I was at work. It stopped at the floor I needed to get off at but the doors wouldn't open. Me and one other person had to push the inner door up and then disingaue the locks on the outer door to open it. Well we were doing it another person with us was panicking, which didn't help.
one time, i saw a video that bejamin and dieselducy saw a locked off dover in virginia. the 1st one runs well from the market parking garage, but the 2nd one was broken, and did you know that they put a hampton inn & suites on top of the market parking garage?
One time I was on an elevator going up and when the doors opened only the inner door opened and the outer doors didn't. However the inner doors closed and it went to another floor and opened normally. It was at the West Parking Deck at the King of Prussia Mall.

Alex, can you sub to me
This elevator is a Schindler and actually uses U/lunar key. It's most likely just a broken clutch.
Well Done Schindler.
That is a bizarre malfunction. Never seen that happen in an elevator before.
Never seen this happen before. Thanks for posting.
william, have you got stuck in a elevator before?
I've seen it happen in a youtube video of a 70s kone in europe
I think propping the door was a good idea. Means it can easily be fixed and they don’t have to rummage around with keys to open that door.
I had a situation like this before. It was a Dover Impulse elevator and I got off the elevator with my Dad and my Brother when the door closed well the indoor closed but the outside didn't close. The fire brigade would do the exact same thing; overriding the door's interlock with a special key.
that is a schindler 330a right?

It won’t let you close it, the door operator is holding it open

330-YAY!
There goes the reputation!
(There was recently a stuck elevator video by non-enthusiasts, and it was a "330-YAY!" as well.)
I have ridden a bunch of 330A's this year! None of them went below a D on the TBOY3000 GS.
Up here in the Northeast (includes the NYC area), they are not good at all. Maybe a few diamonds in the rough, but not good, especially the NYC area.
stall out?
Hey did you stuck elevator?
I was actually hearing rumors about how schindlers elevators are really going down hill but I dont believe that I always thought they made really awsome elevators.
are you out now?
He’s still in there.
The cab door is open? That’s actually different from usual elevator breakdowns.

This is insult as Schindler make good hydraulic elevators. Not even the worst ones will get below F grades on the TBOY3000-GS.
Wow, what's up this... How did you get out? What a weird this elevator is unlikely going be broken or neglect fixture problem, hm?!! :(
I live in Charlotte NC, also same elevator inspector
Sometimes I think that the instead of getting out of the elevator why do people want to risk get it stuck again because of making it work properly
How did u get stuck?
He says what happened in the beginning of the video.
Yep that is just pure Schindler quality, I was never fond of this elevator company.
I LOVE SCHINDLER. This failure was due to human error!!! Also, you BARELY, if not ALMOST NEVER hear of elevators getting stuck in Charlotte
in Europe schindler is hella good
@@larsrbnxplr8169 The 4400 and above, yes. 3300 and 5500, terrible.
That's pretty crazy was happened! Nice video.

Is this a hydraulic Schindler?
I have never really trusted Schindler elevators, and this sure doesn't improve it!
Calneva32 Tractions from Schindler are better than this suck
For some reason, I dont trust schindler HT. I trust MT.
I love your videos
you can pull the doors open and get out if you are on any floor
It was on a Schindler RT in the West Deck the 5500s are in the Orange Parking. I believe Schindler is maintaining them but I think it's more Simons fault.
Hello from Sweden 🇸🇪
Hi Mr. John!
Schitler quality as it's finest! This is why 330A are always bad. Schindler, you really need to discontinue the 330A because it's getting old.
ElevatorsinRussia with 330a elevators, if you see a stuck elevator vid of them, they are most likely going to be a Schindler 330a
It's probably due to the force of the door motor closing and opening it. it can be forceful enough to disattach the doors
Classic modern Schindler
Well done Schindler elevator
The way the outer door just slammed 😭😭😭
That happen to me once except PATRICKNEDZ was playing with the door! +Patricknedz
Knowing Charlotte, elevator accidents don't get any worse then this & even THEN it's due to people error, not mechanical error.
right we al know it was you jared
Appalachian Elevators ask Patrick and text me Brendan
leaptv and
sure it was Jared because I don't remember this happening when I was there.

Maybe you should have tried to fix it just so that the owners can save a lot of money.

Elevator: Inner door went back
His own life thank God 😊
It’s good you got out of it
He opened the door why doesnt he go out
Schindler elevator broke down
That’s the only reason why I take stairs

Leave the table in front of the elevator so they know it's broken

surf the lift first! and then try the lift!
