- Getting the opportunity to experiment with four different 12s for a week was a great experience, and I'm really happy that I found something that works so well. Feel free to ask questions and leave feedback in the comments!

Really needed this video, i got another gan12 maglev recently since my first one basically died so this could be very helpful!
I had already set my 12 up with Angstrom a while ago, but changing the settings to the ones in this video actually made the cube good. Still sticking with the Tornado but I'm glad I have a usable Gan 12 now. Thanks for this.

It's kind of similar to angstrom but it is more flexible and still has similar controllability

I lubed mine with lotion and it created a smooth feel.
That might work temporarily, but it's not a great long-term solution
@@StevenWintringham good thing it not a Gan and instead a little magic cube.
Lotion shouldn't ruin your cube as long as it doesn't contain petroleum, but you will likely need to clean it out frequently

The 12 is almost universally considered to be a better cube, so I bet you'll enjoy it
@@StevenWintringhamI got my 12 today, I don't know if I have enough dignitas to do this and If I do, I'm scared I will mess it up, I want to trust you but I can't trust my skills lol. Edit: What do you think is the podium for best cubes on the market?
@@StevenWintringhamI just did the setup, it went horribly wrong at first, some of the gravitas or dignitas, the one which is white leaked out of the cube so I had to wipe that and put some more of it by taking out the edge again, after that the cube felt good fast because I probably added less dignitas and after fixing that the cube feels quite good, it's controllable and idk if it's smooth but I like it and it suits me well, just need to get used to the new feeling since my algs flow a Lil bit different since my v3 flagship which broke felt very plush and soft due to me doing the angstrom setup on it, thanks for a new main, I will try this on my v3 after The spare piece arrives and let you know, my friend did it on his 14 and it didn't work out too well, so it's evident this is only for the Luke griesser xs, 11m pro and 12 Maglev. Thanks a lot Steven, this setup couldve been better by me, I will try better on my v3. Btw I wiped my cube clean before doing the setup so I hope that didn't affect anything

We have the same settings. Btw, do you guys also have clicking noise on your gan 12?
This one isn't too bad, but I've seen it on other ones. Removing the corner feet magnets, putting heavy lube in the hole, and putting the magnets back gets rid of most of the noise

@@StevenWintringham same my older 12 matte was bad with the clicking but this one doesn't have it unless your ear comes really close and you turn slow, other wise during solves it isn't bothering.

Yes, bit without dnm to make it more controllable. I didn't learn that until after doing this for the first time though

If you like it with DNM then that's fine. I just prefer more controllable puzzles
Idk. This isny any slight to against your video or anything. But every few months i dig out my gan 12 because everyone says it s the best. But i can just never get it to a point that i like. Fr feel like im missing something with everyone talking about how great it is lol. Tried this and it is nice, just not for me. Idk. I really like my gan 11 so i guess no harm in sticking with that haha
Gan cubes just don't work for everyone. This is my favorite setup that I've tried on the cube, but I could still never use it
