Carp can actually be really nice you just need to know how to cook them; first Clean it, just like you did. Put it on a wooden cutting board (preferably pine). Season with your desired spices. Bake for 25 minutes at 350 degrees. Remove from oven. Throw the carp out and eat the cutting board.

For the people who don't know: The carp are an invasive species. it's actually illegal in most places to put them back in a body of water within the state. It was more humane for him to catch and cook, than the mud puddle to dry up and the fish to slowly die. It was a great video!

If you fish like i do, you know the smaller and less stuff the better. I’ve added a photo of just some of my gear so you can see how serious i am about fishing.
Yesterday, here in KY, we shipped out 6 semi loads of hay, livestock feed and fencing supplies to Nebraska. Tomorrow, a box truck will head out that way loaded with food, water, cleaning supplies and diapers. We still have approximately 150 - 175 more rolls of hay at the warehouse to send out there, we are just waiting on some truckers to become available and willing to drive it out there for us! Our hearts and prayers go out to everyone devasted by this disaster. Great job Flair with all you have done to help your state. Hopefully we will get the rest of our donations out there ASAP!

Can't forget a little sugar and lemon juice in the boil, will help to firm the fish up so it doesn't flake apart. Can also brine the fish in salt to help make the texture more akin to crab/lobster.

Some people around here really like them. You can eat the ribs like pork ribs on the bigger ones too. I have yet to try them but wanna try one one day. Fun fish to catch. Got a spot near me where a guy shot a black buffalo that was almost 80lbs a couple years ago
SEMO Outdoors idk what the difference between texas and other states but buffalo in texas are ALWAYS Dark grey and not gold. Its weird, but yeah.

No a big mouth buffalo is blueish grayish color.... Those were grass carp
@@randycalder2653 Look at the dorsal fin shape and mouth orientation. It's a buffalo. Grass carp are much more elongated, and have a very tall but not very long dorsal fin with 8-10 rays. Easy to mix up though!

if u go carp fishing again a tip is to throw corn in the pond before you throw your line up, also there are recipes for chum which carp love, if u use bread put corn at the top at the hook and roll the bread up
Throw in a bunch of sugar packets the night before then mix sugar with shredded wheat and water to make bait balls to use the next day. The trick is when the sugar goes through the paper packet it dissolves and they can't eat it. When it's on your hook in bait ball form they just suck them up.

The #1 think for good tasting fish is clean then freeze/cook immediately after death. A lot of commercial fishermen throw them all in a tub to die and sit until they make it to a cannery, ruins the meat sitting blood and guts. I love your channel, keep up the good work.

If u wanna catch a lot of carp, use some corn, i use that in lahontan and thats in Nevada and i catch them left and right so fast last time i was out ther i caught 16 carp, so i really recommend you to use corn to catch carp

Me and my dad and a team from a Dallas disaster relief went up to a place in Nebraska called the “arm pit of Nebraska” and helped out those in need
I accidentally forgot my school sweat shirt there but I bet it will find a new h9me for someone who needs it. It was a fun time working there but the guy we were helping with with really really drunk but it was fine.
The water also went up to his top windows of his house and he had nothing left

I’m from South Dakota and I live really close to Nebraska and the storm was horrible, so many houses in my city got flooded, our river was covering an entire park, probably 5-6 feet of water. Praying for the family’s 🙏🏽

I'm from Deweyville Tx. where floods took everything I owned twice, roughly a year from each flood, having a job too flooded to get to a low car with no cargo capacity with an 8 year old son being unable to receive any assistance simply feeding my son was a daily struggle no sleep because my son and I were living in my car in hotel Walmart parking lots for over a month each time and its something I still haven't been able to fully erase...but to know yal are out there helping people that had it worse than me touches my heart and gives me a little hope for people using their hearts

I was in mcclure which was by the flood
We made actual dough balls for carp. Then put in a small piece of pantyhose or cheese cloth. My grandma would keep them in the cold water of the cattle tank, for 2 weeks. She said, it filters their out and hardens the meat. She would then smoke the carp. I never heard anyone complain about it. Fun as hell catching them on light tackle. Whole kernel canned corn also works awesome. Load up the hook with kernels. 👍
