I'm african american, and this was 1 of my fav in the 80's. I luv how they came in with the rap part and the music was tight too I didn't really understand what they were singing about but the west end girls was clear to me
Really Cool 80's song .with a dash of Funk ,rhythm of soul,POP and R&B beat with a taste of JAZZ.... The women voice just adds to the vibe. real cool ,real cool song
This right here is how West End Girls should always be performed , in its original form! I know they like to do alternate live versions and remixes of it but nothing beats the original arrangement.
@Linkpin7 - so true! I know straight and gay men that like PSB, and gay and straight women that like them. The really interesting thing is how many people become fans after just one listen to any of their albums. Neil and Chris are even more amazing in their longevity of the music-they have been around since I was in junior high and I love'em now just as much as then.
This set was EPIC it was one of the highlights of an anazing glastonvjry anyway.... but was so good the vibes in the crowd4this everyone dead happy/smiling it set the vibe for rest of the day watching psb to sunset... just mint. X hugs X
I have to rephrase Michael Stipe of REM in the 90's about sexuality. "the only people who need to know if he is gay or not are the ones sitting on his lap". Love that.
The original release of West End Girls was magical , No matter how they try , Live , it doesn’t come close , Full orchestra, , vocalist accompaniment, Really lousy, Lead singer got lucky in studio but should have stayed home .
I'm PSB fan, but this is probably the worst their performance. Just listen to Neils voice, he's singing like stangled. And i realy don't like this arrangement.

Nope it was phenomenal... what a night, what a Glastonbury, in my life I will never forget it....just a shame that the final Go West doesn't seem to be on You tube it was BRILLIANT
This song will never stop kicking ass.
Best intro song ever
I was there. It blew my mind....

One of the best version. From Texas.
The best piece of music ever written period
Wow
Just back from the Dreamland show in Birmingham and The PSB are still as great as they ever were!
The girl really added value.
Never, ever gets old this tune. Still an absolute banger

I just love how they can still rock this, and sistah is rocking the look without heels!!
They'r entertainers...who cares about their personal lifestyles or choices...I am here for the music...you rock guys...

one of my favourite songs ever, love it
That's how he sounds naturally, its part of the reason why PSB sounds so good...

yeah! the moog bassline is awesome. try WG live in Rio 94'.
"The singer"? He's called Neil and he's a pop legend.
21 years on and still sounds fresh. This will never get old.
The very best piece of music that started the synth-pop trend! Marvelous!

@Fetz17 Sylvia-Mason James :D

Who is the female backing vocalist?
@Priesthoodagitator I agree! She added nothing except random "oooohh's" at the end to show off her voice.
Haters in tha house
Anyways…anyone know who she is?
@@nightrider6357 Sylvia Mason James. I briefly partied with her and her crew on a tour bus after this show. Crazy times.
Chemical brothers Liked it.
i think neil and silvia should be married
Their
his voice sound really gay at beggining but it gets better at the end and i sink silva spoilt it at the end
No crowd shots? Lame video direction
Was this still popular in 1995?
It's a timeless classic.
Identical? You obviously don't listen to that record very often. :-)
Was that big bulky boa she was wearing really necessary? Just looks tacky.

This guy having a stroke on stage? He forgot how to pronounce "world" and "girls".
He is bad at singing live
+Aeros Official I think he is pretty OK, can you tell me what you dont like about it?
+Aeros Official The experience of being there counts as well
+ToHairlineForYouGames Were you at the show? I' m not being a bitch. I would really like to know what a live performance is like.
i think neil and silvia should be married

@@TheExtraClassic Agreed! And how could anyone not like THIS arrangement? It's the original one for the song! This is how WEG should sound.
