Even some people who appeared on The Ellen Degeneres Show could barely contain their dislike of Ellen. Wendy Williams is constantly competing with Ellen for daytime ratings, and that might just explain their awkward encounter on television. Priyanka Chopra and Ellen started out having great banter, until Priyanka inadvertently insulted Ellen with an offhand comment. Giada De Laurentiis was supposed to teach Ellen and Nicole Kidman how to cook, but she spent more time mocking their dishes than instructing. Jennifer Lawrence not only managed to insult Ellen with her anti-LGBT comments, but many fans as well. Gospel singer Kim Burrell’s comments made Ellen cringe so badly that she uninvited her from appearing on her show as a musical guest. Not me. i discovered she was a phony after enabling that HBO documentary.
It seems like 80% of these are just really reallyyyy badly taken out of context. Even the Priyanka one didn't have anything to do with Portia. This whole video was just extra confusing, particularly without the actual footage. Most of these are just jokes amongst friends....not actually offending her.

The whole video is pretty dumb, really. Half of the "incidents" end with the narrator saying "Fortunately, ..." as though it was touch-and-go there for a second as to whether Ellen and the other person would become mortal enemies over a joke (in most cases) or just friendly aggressive banter. As the narrator says near the beginning of the video, celebrities are basically just like us, they do embarrassing things, they sometimes have awkward conversations, they prank each other, good friends say things to each other that sound rude to others who don't know or understand their relationship. This is a big nothingburger...

I love Ellen for a lot of things but recently I found her slightly racist which was very disappointing. I watched her interview the Korean band, BTS and she goes ahead and says, "Introduce yourselves again because your hair colors are different so I can't recognise the difference..." What? If you're inviting someone to a talk show, you're supposed to a little bit of research at least and learn the names of the members. Her lack of professionalism and basic manners was a huge blow. . .

I've actually heard from several different sources that Ellen treats some of her staff very badly. If that's accurate shame one her for creating a toxic environment where she works when she's able to walk away every year with a multi-million dollar paycheck.
