Some guests are able to turn it into something humourous, some just starts to fall into a darker, more serious place. That's where you act as a host and stop.

The best thing she can do is keep that reality in mind and know how to read different types of people and deal with them accordingly. She obviously evades unnecessary heat. Also, guests are not children. They can decide whether or not they wanna deal with Ellen beforehand. And that alleged backstage deal has nothing to do with anything on the screen. People become mad after hearing that, and start to think Ellen is just this evil witch who's been terrorizing her guests in hatred the whole time. That's far too silly. That means old people were using computers 40 years ago. It was also almost totally female. The group didn't go around saying kids or females don't know how to use technology. Celebs are usually promoting something, also they mostly know each other, some really well, I’m not saying to condemn or condone, but it’s part of what they do to get publicity, it’s still a choice though so they can say no to being on the show. But Ellen reaches a lot of people, so as I say I don’t feel sorry for them, let’s get some perspective on this Ellen takes flax as well all the time. Im not going to say poor any of them because their not. They make this part of their career.

Ellen was making it seem like Taylor was dating all of these men at some point in her life when she really wasn’t. It’s what started the rumor about “getting men faster than a train.” Taylor hadn’t dated most or all of the men shown, and she also wants her love life to be private (“…the last shred of dignity [she] has” since most of her life is public). Ellen was stressing Taylor out about it and embarrassing her in front of a crowd and in front of a camera for millions to see, and kept going, even after Taylor told Ellen to stop multiple times.
Ellen has also done other things on interviews with her, such as shame her because of her phobias and such. Taylor could’ve not gone to these interviews, but she was pressured into them so she could boost her popularity further.

I actually find Ellen’s episodes funny! It’s entertaining! Not for those with sensitive skin though! We were raised in the environment with tough sense of humor, so Ellen’s humor is nothing!
Not super rude, super funny ! That's why they come back for more over & over. Love her sense of humor, especially when someone gives it back and she can't not laugh (David Spade comes to mind)

Celebrities still went on her show knowing how she treated people and fans still came to see her show and watched on TV until her friendship with Bush became public and then she was cancelled.
