OG VIDEO: • Halestorm "Girl Crush"...
ABOUT…
I am Rebecca and I am one heck of a passionate vocal coach/singer/songwriter/impressionist/health/fitness/self- improvement/anything that makes me smile!! I love anything vocal/singing related and geek out on it every day. I want to motivate and inspire others to follow their dreams…corny? Well maybe but it’s true. So what’s motivating me?? I had a huge tumour removed summer 2017 and my ovaries and fallopian tubes. The tumour was the size of a 20 week baby!! However, despite not being able to walk for a couple of weeks, and feeling generally awful…. It has made me create and do what I love! It wasn’t an easy time but I won’t let fear dictate my life. I didn’t think ‘why me’, there are plenty of horrific issues people have to deal with…it’s not always smooth sailing. It’s true when you hear, ‘Life is short’, the crazy thing is, I am glad it happened…I appreciate life even more and practice gratitude everyday…It’s so easy to get caught up with the little things…and I do sometimes, but look at the bigger picture, will it matter in a year or two…?
Also thank you for all your support. It means a lot.

Their song "I MIss The Misery" showcases how they normally sound - AWESOME!
maybe 7 years ago... Vicious is a much better show of her vocal talent
The collaboration with Lindsey Sterling Shatter Me is fantastic as well
Jessie Thomas--i LOVE shatter me!! It really showcases her vocal control and her ability to get that rock growl even in her high range ❤
@@tduassassin all their music is great lol you can't just pick one song
@@Calisto9 thats the only real song she did. i think this is how they really sound lol her alt rock songs are too fake, and sound too much like cleaner version of Metallica.
Lizzy is one of the best damn vocalists in rock right now fight me
Female wise
Slave to the grind and all I wanna do (is make love to you) blew me away. Unfortunately her voice was wrecked when I saw them at a small show after first major tour, but later healed up was awesome in Ohio.
@@patrickperry8951 fuck off, she’s one of the best regardless
Lizzy is awesome, but still ranks third after Floor Jansen of Nightwish and Saiko of Band Maid. But third in the world is still really damn good. Really good. It might have been a tie with Rob Halford of Judas Priest fame, but I think he is getting tired. Although Rob did a great duet with 'In this Moment' and a cool one with Baby Metal. I'd still give third to Lizzy though.
not just right now.one of the best ever.she can sing anything
What happened was that you developed a girl crush for Lzzy. That's okay, we all crush on Lzzy
She could turn me quickly by singing to me!!
Lzzy Hale is what you get when you shove a monster truck engine inside a corvette
I have never heard a better description of lzzy!
I think most monster trucks, are powered by Corvette engines... Albeit "modified". However I digress- Power. Performance. Attractive-all in a single package. #HailQueenLzzy
LOVE that analogy!
You would have to cut a hole in the hood for the supercharger.
Well said!
Lzzy Hale is a powerhouse, a force of nature. She puts so much of herself in the songs and in the execution, you feel really overwhelmed by her talent and skills. Plus, she plays guitar while she sings live and she kicks asses, seriously. Check their other songs, you'll be amazed!
Aahhhh I love Halestorm and Lzzy Hale's voice is something special ❤
"I Get Off" on U.
Her live cover of “All I Wanna Do Is Make Love To You” by Heart is awesome
Yes, check out the acoustic version. She is amazing!
the shaky mobile video in the little room is amazing
the colab with eric church at the cma's is amazing.
Gold Dust women is great to!
@M 40 yes, definitely!
Exactly what I was about to suggest.. amazing cover.. love her
She's been rocking for 20 years! Check out Familiar Taste of Poison....u will be blown away
The Live In Philly version! Oh my god please do the Live In Philly version. ua-cam.com/video/Ienk9M0XtlA/v-deo.html
@@drumlord8772 or the one at Jimmy Fallon.
Jimmy Fallon one for sure.
@@frankov_83 @Daulton Redhaus That is a good performance, and a significant one for the band. But the Live in Philly performance will always be superior because it was a true concert, the sound done by their crew, and done in essentially their hometown. That kind of energy just isn't there for the Fallon performance.
Also...RVA...please check out the Live in Philly performance of I'm Not An Angel...talk about POWER and grace. ua-cam.com/video/_tImMHIZ34U/v-deo.html
FINALLY YOU DID HALESTOOOORM I HOPE YOU DO MORE!! i love miss lzzy so much
Agreed.
Definitely ❤️
Amen to that!
Speaking of which "Amen" would be a pretty good song to react to...
Halestorm's rendition of "Slave to the Grind" got me started listening to them in 2012 . . . I've been fortunate to have met and know them all these years!
Other awesome performances by her: Empire State of mind (cover), national anthem, live performance with Eric Church (she steals the show with this one)
I saw her and Eric perform that live in Boise. She was visibly sick and still blew him out of the water.
Yes omg!! Halestorm is great!! Should definitely listen to them cover “gold dust woman”
My favourite cover. They are stunning live too, such a great atmosphere.
You are amazing!! Never be embarrassed!
But lzzy Hale is frickin’ great!! Her and Amy lee did a beautiful duet of “break in” you’d love it!
Yess!! Break In is an awesome song.
Her live performance with Eric Church at the CMA was amazing
I didn't hear about that, when was it?
I was looking for this comment! She damn near melts your face off in that performance. If you don't feel something in your soul when she's singing there's something wrong with you.
@@andrewmalinowski6673 2014 CMA Awards. Eric Church, who is good performer in his own right, just watched Lzzy perform right next to him in amazement. She showed him "That's Damn Rock n Roll".
I have been VERY FORTUNATE to be able to have seen these guys in concert many times! So many disappointing concerts when the people you really want to see, you get there and they SUCK. Heard them on a radio broadcast… of course had cds of all of them.. To see them live OHMAHGOSH! 🤯 total mind blown 🤯! No auto tune, or tweeking in the studio.. raw natural talent! One of the very first concerts I took my son to, with VIP Meet & Greet! I was my sons hero that day! Lizzy, Joe, Joshua, and RJ, are a true testament of talent! LOVE
Seems like you have another girl crush here ^^
and finally some Halestorm!! I feel like I've been suggesting this band forever. Check out Love bites, Freak like me or Mayhem for some heavier tracks :D
Omg thank you thank you thank you for doing a video on halestorm! Lzzy is such a phenomenal singer! I would absolutely love to see you react to some of Halestorm's other music. If you decide to watch more, you're on for a treat
I AGREE 💯%
Great reaction video! Lzzy Hale is top 5 all time in my book. She is just an incredible vocalist with a huge range and variety of what she can sing. She literally can do it all! Please do more of Halestorm!
I love when others discover the singer i love and how amazing she is. Unknown rock girl destroys at the 2014 CMT awards when Lzzy featured with Eric Church Thats Damn Rock and roll.
This is a great reaction video
Just for an instant you can see 14year old lzzy reaction.
I love Halestorm. Who's lookin to get some Mayhem?!
She could sing the phone book & make it sound good when they first came out reminded me a little of Pat Benatar & Joan Jett I mean Familiar Taste Of Poison & Black Vultures acoustic WOW Just WOW
OMG! HALESTORM !!! This is a so damn great band. Lzzy Hale is amazing!! I hope you'll react to more Halestorm because believe me, si was "JUST" an acoustic song... You must absolutely react to their song "Familiar taste of poison"
Lizzy Hale's voice is incredible. I'd love to hear your review of her singing with Eric Church "That's Damn Rock and Roll"
Halestorm- I am the fire
Very heart felt song. Reaches the soul. Powerful.
Lzzy Hale is amazing. Her voice makes me melt. That's the best way to describe her.
Everything I have ever heard her sing is gold. SO.... Scour UA-cam for their albums and listen to it all. You Will Not be disappointed. ❤️
Thanks so much for doing one on Halestorm. As others have said, Lzzy is something rare and special. Much love to you Rebecca.
She does "make this song her own." She is totally in the moment emotionally, going from sadness and regret, to anger to melancholy. She sings this song as if it is a chapter of her life, and brings that emotion of betrayal, sadness, anger to the listener. Yes, I shed a tear, empathizing with her.
Keep doing you doing you. It's so refreshing. You can talk technically, but you have so much energy and enthusiasm for the artists.
I think Rebecca got a girl crush now.
Not sure it counts, every sane human being has a crush on Lzzy.
At last a bit of Lzzy Hale, seen Halestorm live twice and they deliver. Watch one of thier heavy tracks, like Love Bites or her duet with Amy Lee you wont be disappointed
This is one of the rare times I'd say the cover is better than the original. Lzzy puts so much emotional into it, you just get goosebumps listening.
The original one is far better...you get to hear her voice and lyrics in the original and not be distracted by all the movement and strain and inflection trying to over power the song...this artist is TRYING...She might as well of been doing this with no instruments as they can hardly be heard...
@@musicmyfavs1907 overpower...no emotion. This one feels like this girl is actually feeling it as she sings. The other is just a song for others to feel. Totally different.
@@elitewolverine what it feels like she is doing is doing "tricks" with her voice and over powering the music...That is not her feeling the music but trying to show off...Just plainly singing it (with an awesome voice) sounds so much more like she is feeling it...
Big town version won awards including two Grammys (Best Country Duo/Group Performance and Best Country Song), reached number one on US country radio, ended up being the second-most played song of 2015 on the format, and is certified Quintuple Platinum in the US....Halestorm version not so much...
@@musicmyfavs1907 no
Lzzy Hale and her band Halestorm won the 2013 Grammy Award for the best Hard Rock Performance. The Grammy validated my opinion that Halestorm is one of the best LIVE rock band currently touring. I’ve seen them in concert and it’s always been an enjoyable and memorable experience.
I saw her i concert recently and it was incredible!! I would suggest looking at some of her music because she has absolutely amazing vocals!
SHE iz Legendary DEAR!! I am always in that moment when I hear this voice!!!
@RVA I really enjoy your videos and your comments on the singers. I also enjoy listening to you speak with your English accent. Some of the words you say while looking into the camera, like Darling and Smash are very cool.
She sang the crap out of "Empire State of Mind" on a live acoustic session. Impressive cover. I recommend it :)
I've seen them live and omg i was blown off my feet. Shes such a beautiful person as well. The drummer is her little brother. I don't know which songs to choose. Vicious was her last one, familiar taste of poison,I miss the misery, I get off on you getting off on me ..i don't even know at this point. 😍
Great video Rebecca. Who doesn't love Lzzy? Great singer and performer. Seen Halestorm several times. Always a great show. Lzzy is very underrated. Have a great day Rebecca.
She’s amazing. I’ve enjoyed them live several times now but one of the first times she performed Freak Like Me and I stopped dead in my tracks when she hit that high scream.
This song is just showing a few of everything Lzzy can do with her voice ! You should listen to all her songs, she is so talented I love her !
From the background this was shot at a radio station and is likely a morning show. Done with no warm up, just hopped out of bed an sang her heart out. I have seen them multiple times and she does the morning shows. Ipod in at 7am and blows your mind.
Went to a halestorm concert back in May. The greatest concert I have ever seen, there are no words
Love your reactions!
Ahhh I love this song so much😍
Love the book bits at the end of these. 👌🏼 Love the food for thought. 🙂
I love this song!!! Thanks girl! ❤
The best female vocalist since Anne Wilson or Pat Benatar. _Please_ do some Halestorm songs, or Lzzy's covers. 'Takes My Life' is one of their early live songs that showcases her tremendous vocal range. Not as many people know of it because it's not on one of their 4 studio albums.
What a lovely reaction
Heck yeah. Love me some Lzzy Hale. You would love her performance with Eric Church
I'm so glad you lost control because that is how i feel when Lizzy makes me feel whwn she sings.
Lzzy's amazing live. I've had the pleasure to see them live three times.
I love her cover of Gold Dust Woman.
She immediately reminded me of bonnie tyler. Beautifiul voice!
They are so great live
One of very few vocalists that understands the use of the whole body and mouth as an instrument and has mastered it
Wow of all the songs :) beautiful
*I highly recommend from HALESTORM : "Apocalyptic" , "Vicious" , "Here's To Us [feat. SLASH]. And they did a good Coverversion of Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance".*
At last... Been waiting for so long for lizzy on this channel... Thanks RVA
Saw them last summer at Graspop Metal Meeting but at that time didn't realised they made songs this small... great reactionvid and lovely you're letting people get in touch with so many genres... you keep inspiring and suprising 🙋
I love her song Dear Daughter, emotional message all little girls should hear
YAAAAAAAAASSSSS i've been waiting for this
You know, when I hear Lizzy Hales singing, it reminds me to Myles Kennedy. And when I hear Myles, it reminds me to Lizzy.
They both have such a powerfull and trained voice, combinned with and infinit amount of talent and they create such a connection to what they are singing, that for me, they are for on a different league of singers. You have amazing singers around the world, but there are a very few selected ones that just goes one step beyond. And Im not talking rock and roll only, in general.
I would LOVE to hear you're reaction to the CMA performance with Eric Church of "That's Damn Rock and Roll". She was melting faces that night!
Lol Finally some Lizzy Love. Lzzy Hale has extreme range
From this to Punk like songs to bluesy tunes like Familiar taste Of Poison. Check out her work with Lindsay Sterling as well. Shes very talented . and has sang and played with Lita Ford a few times now. Beast mode is just under the surface too....
thank you for reacting to one of my favourite bands🙏
Lzzy is amazing! Her cover of "Empire State of Mind" is incredible. "Shatter Me" with Lindsey Sterling is another song that really shows off her pipes... Also love their cover of "All I wanna do (Is Make Love To You)". "Here's to Us" is great original from them.
I think she is one of my favourite female vocalists. So much expression and every word counts when she sings. No cares bout how does this look no fake just on it.
Speaking of Janis, you have to do Beth Hart - am I the one live at paradiso. It would be an amazing reaction. She is channeling Janis there.
ahh I love this song so much! And she sang great!💜
Amazing interpretation, thanks a LOT !
Lzzy is such an amazing singer. Makes me emotional with this performance. There's so many more songs you should listen to so you can hear more of her range. I am the fire is a great one, off the top of my head.
Watching ur gorgeous love of music is enchanting. Bad day? Watch ur reactions and cheer up immediately
Thanks made my day reading this 💜
And she's absolutely amazing on stage too!!
I think I will definitely see hailstorm again
Love your analysis
This was great and iv'e seen her live, very talented, you should try "a familiar taste of poison" as she shows a different side to her vocal quality in it to this song. Love your content and how you explain everything and how emotionally engaged you get(Never a bad thing), most of all your personality which is so bright, fun and charming. Keep up the great work.
Yesss!!! Definitely also check out them covering "All I Wanna Do Is Make Love To You" acoustic at 95 WIIL Rock!! You will get emotional, I guarantee it!!
One of her best vocal performances.
I just have to say that I thoroughly love to watch your enjoyment of so many vocal stylings. You seem to read into not just the technical aspects, but the vibe the vocalist goes for. Please add either Tony Harnell solo or with TNT to your list of reactions. Thank you for your insight and warmth.
I got a Girl Crush, too. It's on Lzzy, of course ;) But it's platonic, it's just about her voice and her singing ;)
Pretty sure everyone has a crush on Lzzy, male/female, platonic or otherwise, it doesn't matter 😂
Thank you for doing Halestorm and Lzzy! She is one of my favorites. Familiar Taste Of Poison is a great song and does show off her talents even if it is hard for me to listen to for personal reasons. The song has some really deep meaning that I'm not sure many people get
I love love love Lizy Hale...she is a gem, what a glorious singer!
I love when Lzzy sings "I got a girl crush" and rebecca's like "yeah" haha to cute
That's a great song, and Lizzy Hale is freaking AMAZING! When they were coming up, they did live covers of Pat Benatar, Stevie Nicks, Joan Jett I believe, and others I'm sure. They're all over UA-cam. They're a great band and their original stuff is great too! But this lady, she's just something else!
You did it, you finally did it!
Please, even if you don't do a react to it, give the acoustic version of Amen that they did at this session a watch. Her vocals are even better in that imo
I love this song.
Theres a few live versions of her and M Kennedy doing a duet to watch over you . Its killer
ohhh i love Lzzy Hale so much, I'm so glad this happened. I follow her on social media and she shares some stuff on her tumblr and from what I could observe she really trains her voice and is very dedicated. she's been around for a while now, and it always amazes me how her voice only gets better through the years.
while I'm here, I want to say that I also watched your videos on Myles Kennedy/Alter Bridge, and since you loved him/them I think you would really enjoy one of Myles' solo tracks, called Love Can Only Heal. if you thought the previous songs were beautiful and emotional, this song has something special for you lol. I realllllly wanted to know your input on this specific song.
anyways thank you, I don't comment often but I love your videos! lots of love ♥️♥️
Thank you for the reaction, and I had not heard this version before. Halestorm is one of my favorite band and Lzzy is amazing live (the entire band is). If you want soulfull songs of their own go with Dear Daughter, Break In or The silence. And if you want more rock/metal try I miss the misery, killing ourselves to live or Love Bites. They also made tons of other covers, everything from Lady Gaga to Heart to Metallica.
Yeah, their live is incredible. The drummer even impressed my with his stick tricks. By far the best live show I ever went to
She sings from the heart 💜
Looooove halestorm!
Hi R. she sings from the heart........emotional.....and deep; I can feel every word in my skin.!and yes I also thought about Janis...everything in her was so.....strong......so intense ('?).....amazing! love you
lovin this!!!!!!!!!
I had the honor to meet and hear Lzzy and her brother at Mercy Lounge, Nashville. I never really listened to Halestorm. That night changed that. I could almost see Janis Joplin smiling through Lzzy that night. It was something that only happens once, maybe twice in a lifetime. She was joined by the likes of Tom Keifer, Thin Lizzy, "Snake" Sabo, and a volley of great rock legends, to benefit a young lady dying of cancer. Something special happened on that stage that night. I'll never forget it. Thank you, Lzzy. Rock is NOT dead.
RVA really connects with the music... I would swear she was rubbing one out at the 6 minute mark, and shows her O face at about 6:30. Intense, and very nice indeed.
So many great songs Lzzy has done... she did the vocals for Lindsey Sterling's "Shatter Me"
Familiar Taste of Poison is my favorite but I love all their music. Halestorm is also awesome live
Lizzy sells the emotion in a song like a champ. She can roll from a clean powerful tone right into an angry rasp that just pulls you right in.
Pleeeease react to some of their more recent performances!! I've been waiting for a vocal coach to react to halestorm for SO long!
Lazy is one of my ten favorite artists from this millennium, and she knows how to put on a show.
Thanks, RVA!
What Sober Couldn’t Say - acoustic by Halestorm is a favorite of mine. Lzzy was getting over a cold at the time but the raspy-ness of her voice is super sexy.
