This season of CarmelCast will be all about prayer. We will start at the very beginning by examining the fundamental virtues necessary for prayer, we will talk through some of the difficulties we face in prayer such as distractions and drowsiness, and we will learn from the Carmelite saints how to open ourselves to deeper forms of contemplative prayer.
Leave a comment or send us an email at carmelcast@icspublications.org if you have topics or questions that you’d like us to address throughout this season. God bless you!

Thank you 🙏
Thank you so very much for a topic which is the essence of a truly spiritual life with God.
One important way to evangelize is to teach people to pray.
Thank you God bless Father
Excellent! Thank you
ST. MOTHER TERESA OF CALCUTTA: “We create all kinds of difficulties in our prayer. Let us go back to what Jesus has taught - the intimate and simple prayer: ‘Our Father...’ Even little children can pray this.”
Can't wait!
Thank you. I will follow this series with interest. May God bless your work.
ST. TERESA OF AVILA: “Don’t think that if you had a great deal of time you would spend more of it in prayer. Get rid of that idea! God gives more in a moment than in a long period of time, for His actions are not measured by time at all. Know that even when you are in the kitchen, our Lord is moving among the pots and pans!”
Thank you. This is exactly what I needed. God bless all the Discalced Carmelite Family.
Thank you! Looking forward to it!
I hope you'll be talking about Ruth Burrows (Sr. Rachel Gregory), too!
What was the title for the first episode?
