I find it curious that "work stability" was not a key point here.
But makes sense after seing all the layoffs .. nobody is safe. So you better take that opportunity in that small unstable startup that pays +50% more.. (advise for myself 😂)
Good point. The reason it was omitted is because work stability has a lot to do with industry and the current environment and less to do with employment type. For example a full time, consulting, or contracting cyber security analyst would likely be stable across the board.
@@AngeloTheBA I agree. In my country, job stability depends on who is in govt. Some governments prefer contractors, and the govt we have now prefers employees therefore many independent contractors have dropped contracting and switched to employees. This is across the public sector only, which is where most BAs are hired, in my country.
What comes before BA, plus before the positions that come before BA?
Nothing has to come before becoming a business analyst. Management of Information Systems (Business Majors) are often hired directly into the role. Domain subject matter expert (business users) who develop the right skill set can become BAs. IT professional (Developers, QA, Support, etc) can also transition into the role if they can demonstrate the skill set
Excelent!
