North East/West/Scotland Calling, Morecambe, Scarborough, Manchester Punk Festival and Rebellion…..a yearly pilgrimage and so much fun, but of them all, Rebellion is the best. Such a mad variety of bands, from all over the world with so many small bands being able to get noticed. Great festival and every year I say “never again” as my body is fooled and every year I buy an early bird ticket. Less than two months to do it all again…..can’t wait and i’’ll sneak in a cheeky curry at the Akash. ….as always.
Honestly had the time of my life there.. Hope there's a lineup that good next year

@@StaticGaze Yeah! There's so much to see, and lots I wanted to see but missed due to clashes and just not having time to fit everything in.
I like all styles of punk, oi, ska, reggae, metal, new wave, hip-hop, so try to see a bit of everything.
I'll watch some old favourites and legends like Sparrer, Sham, Subs, as well as some up and coming, and everyone in between.
I thought the Rebellion-Introducing arena stage had some genuinely brilliant stuff this year and like to support it - as well as being damned good bands, they're the long-term future of the scene.
Glad you enjoyed it, great festival with something for us all.

This is awesome like I said before the realest Punk Rockers are in Europe and England you got some in America too do they have their style and they're both room in America but it's not the same in America it's more professional statement they are punk rockers for a few years then they fought off the cliff in England die just like me I'm in my 50s and I'm so Punk to this day Dr Martin still works..

Love the way people slag off this festival to be honest its as much a social occasion as a festival and a great laugh I've been several times and had a ball. As for punk posers how can people be posers if they were into this music 40 years ago>??In addition I'd say theres at least 30% younger people there now from all over the world. Also here are people keeping the live music scene throughout the year young and old. There are also lots of great smaller festivals which I also attend but this is seen as an annual rendezvous. And as for age.. most of us dont give a fuck what anyone thinks and many of my non punk friends are not having half as much of a good time their loss. See you there everyone who loves it.

Had to watch as always will have a soft spot for punk/oi so spent 16 or so mins on here.
Few good bands...most of em were crap.
Nothing DIY here....plus the punk police lurking around doesn't help.
Still the odd individual trying to shock by wearing a offensive t-shirt...laughable and quite sad.
Not into politics but it seems very left wing here.
Fair play though...you go turning up every year having fun 🐑 getting drunk...safety in numbers...not one bit of originality or individuality in any of you.

They have the American version in America as well I think it's the bowling alley they call it somewhere down south they do the same thing do with the pool and everything is nice down there too.. we can get real crowded that's something I don't like about it it's become more of a fashion statement than anything else the true meaning of the punk is kind of dying when there's too many people there..
Went to CBGBS years ago on a trip to the States. It had an amazing vibe, but that was my only experience of punk in the US.
o yeah dude and some pants and a band shirt is the true way to go. i've seen nothing from plain clothes all the time. im tired of you people hating on punks who deck their shit out. the whole blue jeans and band shirt to say your so punk is how you can spot a poser, spent their whole lives in front of tv. while everyone else is trying to get worthwhile bands for 18 hours a day a music. hardly happens because some blue jeans t shirt asshole poser keeps destroying punk. i saw 2023 had lots of deck out. when you go for 2024 can you show more video of the people with mohawks, mohicans, spikes, patches , the whole thing. theres not enough sights of those people.
The bands are great, but this dressing up for the day is not what punk was or is about, dressing up as punks for the day is a joke
