3:05 - Here is a secret that works very well for me keeping my hair straight. I love hot steamy showers so what I do is tie my hair up with a cotton scarf first. (Its the one time cotton touches my hair). Make sure it's nice and snug and cover those edges too. Then to make sure nothing moves out of place I put a fitted satin cap on top of that. And then I add my shower cap and take nice hot steam showers (I just don't over do it...like staying in for an hour). This is the only time cotton touches my hair. The cotton is what sucks up the moisture that would otherwise get absorbed in my hair (I'm 4c). When I get out the shower I make sure to ventilate the bathroom. I make sure the door is opened and the fan is on (if I didn't do this before I got in the shower I just make sure to do it after). And I walk away while the moisture and steam clears out the bathroom. Once all the moisture and steam is out the bathroom then I go back in the bathroom to take my cap off and style my hair. It's still straight.
This really works. I've done the same thing.

How do you get your baby hairs/edges soft to lay them? (I’m new too being natural) but when I get my sew ins when I was relaxed laying my edges and baby hairs was easy but now I’m natural, I have no idea how to “soften” them like I don’t want to put heat on them but whatever I do they just won’t slick. Ugh I need help!!

I get heat damage easily in certain parts of my hair.. gotta know your hair before u take that risk . Use mouse and set it before u blow dry and straighten it . It will not only come out flawless but your hair wont revert as easily. And try using hair spray after you're done straightening..

francine hughley saw somebody use got to be glue spray and motion oil sheen and a hard brush and boom it was laid right before my eyes but Idk how long this method last or what it does to the leave out afterwards

I would say invest in a shower cap instead of cutting shower time lol
+Alicia Wright lol that too but I wrap and tie my head like I'm going to sleep when I'm taking a shower and put a shower cap over it. I didn't think to mention it though because I thought everybody knows to do that lol
Alicia Wright lol sis, the steam from the shower can still cause natural hair to revert, shower cap included. Sweat too. It's best to shower in lukewarm to cool water while cutting shower time in half

if it's frizzy & you just flat ironed it, try styling with a cute satin scarf until time to flat iron again.

Becca Brown I like the frizz be gone serum more because it's more light weight than the frizz dismiss. But don't get me wrong they're both lightweight I just notice that my hair gets oily faster when I use frizz dismiss 💞
