It's a bold play, sending himself to the hospital in his antics so he both can say someone was hospitalized because that's great content and so he can't be sued by the victim. That's some real optimization and dedication to the craft.

Alpharads death truly shows his icarus complex when he thought he was strong enough to do the course twice when he could barely do it once but his pride would not let him drop out. He truly flew to close to the bottom of the lake.
the fact that only Jaiden and CJ talked to the interviewers while Alpaharad just casted the game is characterization at it's best and most subtle
