i actually like this more than MC princess diaries, and yes, i have played both. The amount of detail present here (crowds, panel screens, idol performance, dynamic music, etc) makes the stage feel more full and alive than MC princess diaries. MC makes for it with awesome gimmicks like the hyperbombs and princess cannon, which are awesome! But once the novelty wears off the stage terrain is somewhat bland and flat, whereas the terrain of Grand Splatlands Bowl has more verticality and strategic elements (climbable support beams, inkrail to mid, dynamic platform, etc). It also happens to be the 4th vertically symmetrical stage in splatoon which is kinda cool! Overall i can enjoy playing this stage for a lot longer than MC princess diaries because i find it more interesting to strategize in. that’s just my opinion tho!
This one was an amazing map for salmon run but there’s just no good entrance points for the attacking teams. And the defending team can get locked into their corner if the attackers do really good.

@@weirdpuppet326 I’m on team past, and I think I won like 2 out the dozen or so games I had on defense, in in both of those games I had two or three teammates match my 10+ K/A record. I didn't play that many matches on the stage (maybe seven or so), but I for one felt it to be quite defender favoured. Only say attackers win once, and that was when one of the attacking teams was running double Vanilla Tri Slosher and most of the rest of the lobby didn't know how to fight the thing.
also the music for this tricolor has the same song done by each of the 3 idols, which the game would switch between them on the fly based on who's in lead at the moment in the match, the now or never is replaced by a squid sisters remix, ebb & flow, and something new for deep cut ( not sure if determined by the team you pledged, or also by whose in lead at the time it goes into one minute remaining ) but in the game's files, its one track with 3 layers

Tbh I cant blame them too much, because the issue as a whole just stems from tricolor itself, and really the mode just needs a rework.
I would like to add a disclaimer that a lot of people may have had different experiences, but as of about 12-13 hours after the map dropped people figured out how to camp with falloff damage perfectly, and with the little amount of ground in attackers spawn, weapons with high points for special can’t actually do anything.
