- Gradius Gaiden (グラディウス外伝 Gradiusu Gaiden) is a 1997 horizontal scrolling shooter video game developed and published by Konami for the PlayStation console. The game was released exclusively in Japan on August 28, 1997 and was later re-released on November 20, 2003 as part of the PSone Books collection. Gradius Gaiden didn't see availability outside Japan until the release of Gradius Collection on the PlayStation Portable, which was released worldwide in 2006. Gradius Gaiden is the first game in the Gradius series to incorporate 3D graphics.

it's still a crime this wasnt released in USA. Goofy American video game magazine reviewers trashed all over every non-3D game made after 1996 that wasnt called Street Fighter.
Very sad ma brada
That's partly true, but Sony USA started becoming extremely strict with what 2D games they would license to be published in North America due to the Nintendo 64 coming out and anything 2d being "outdated" and "looks bad".
Nice inclusion of the bottom route in loop 1. Most players don't know about the route choice or the appearance of Nobil as the boss of Stage 2's bottom route. Impressive.
El mejor Gradius de la saga 👏🏽👏🏽
Sin duda, oye y que opinas de Super Hydorah de Locomalito?
1:23:40 i remember when i played this and the game slowed down.
懐かしい〜BGM良かったよね
Playstation was crushing any 16-bit system even at 2D...
How did he manage to not get hit at 1:15:39 holy shit
Idk on this boss specifically I've gotten a generous hitbox but I saw it too
Must be using a cheat code. That would’ve been enough to blow him up
Impossible to dodge that unless using cheats. The laser penetrated the ship which should’ve been enough to blow him up. I know I played this game this weekend and a little touch from a laser from any enemy and it was bye bye for me
#GXZ or #Gradius X #PlanetZero (#GradiusXPlanetZero) is a Sub-genre of #GradiusGaiden
Ugly intro for a Gradius game...
The opening or the 'Star Wars' type prologue?
