for information regarding route n trip plan for spiti, this is pure gold standard video, thank u dheeraj bhai for posting such helpful video regularly, ur knowledge of mountain is very good
Thanks a lot Dheeraj. I will be traveling on Shimla-Kinnaur-Kaza-Chandrataal-Manali trip next week. This video has come at the perfect time for me. Now I dont have to pick up pen and paper and make any kind of itinerary.
Hi Dheeraj...no doubt its a great guide....i feel lost in so many names of the places......i have 7-8 days going with family in August....please suggest me less places
Dear.. your way of guiding we like riders is awesome.. u explain great information/knowledge in crux that's the best thing about ur vdos. I love to watch ur video before starting my tour. Thanks for being guiding star.. keep guiding . Keep growing.. 👍🏻

Hi... I completely agree and understand why you are getting so much love from your subscribers and followers... Not only you make useful videos, but also address to all the doubts and clarify them... I have a silly doubt regarding the same (Itinerary 1)... As per your itinerary the following are the places where we are supposed to halt at night: Night 1: Shimla... Night 2: Chitkul... Night 3: Kalpa... Night 4: Tabo... Night 5: Pin Valley (Mud Village)... Night 6: Kaza Night 7: Kaza Night 8: Chandrapal / Battal Night 9: Manali Night 10: Delhi Apart from Shimla, Manali and Delhi can you suggest us some budget stays in Spiti??? Thank you in Advance and keep Shining 🌟🌟
I will recommend not to sleep at Chitkul but sleep at Sangla or Rakcham on second night and then visit Chitkul in day time. But avoid night sleep up there. Rest looks good.
Thanks for the information. I would like you to make a video of the stay options and booking process in the places you have mentioned. Thanks in advance🙏
I will try to make it, meanwhile here are two links that can help you: devilonwheels.com/spiti-valley-homestays/ and devilonwheels.com/good-hotels-accommodation-spiti-valley-kinnaur-valley/
Good detailed video @dheeraj. I hv one qus like , in year 2022 what is the best month to follow ur first itinery, means going from shimla and coming from kunjum-rohtang-manali.
My queries for a road trip, self driven couple, to Spiti Valley. Wish for easy relaxing trip- Shimla side. 1. Most suitable month for trip. 2. Is KIGER (Renault) car good for the trip. 3. Do you get mechanics on way. 4. How to book hotel accommodation for stay.. 5. Should one carry food and petrol. Thanks. Col Verma (Retd)
Here are the replies: 1. Best month will be after 5th September. 2. You can take that car but then you need to be careful on the Manali Kaza road. 3. You get mechanics till Kaza from Shimla every few 100 KMs but between Kaza and Manali/Solang there will not be any mechanics. 4. For stays options in Spiti Valley, please refer following: Good Hotels/Stays in Spiti Kinnaur: discoverwithdheeraj.com/good-hotels-accommodation-spiti-valley-kinnaur-valley/ Good Authentic Homestays: discoverwithdheeraj.com/spiti-valley-homestays/ 5. Food you get on the way at most places and Petrol, you will not get between Kaza to Manali.
Hi, you make amazing informative videos. I have a question. In this video I could see ice capped mountains everywhere. On which dates these videos were shot as I feel the view is best at this time and also there is no ice on the roads hence its safe to go on a non 4x4 car.
Virat bhai these videos are a mix.. But April-May is a good time to visit Spiti Valley in case you want to experience snow and don't want snow to be on the roads.
Happy to know that Ravi, well, till Kunzum Pass you do not need the ePass but for visiting Chandratal Lake, you will need to apply for Chandratal ePass
Dheeraj ji..What is possibility winter travel ( November last week)Simla to kaza ..and what or how much distance can go spithi from Simla side…easy risk less travel…
@Dheeraj: Thank you for such informative videos. I am wondering if you have some info about accomodations at Mud village in Pin Valley. I only found Tara guesthouse and they do not have availability on the dates we travel.. What can be nearest alternatives?
May be Sonam Homestay +919418441453 or Check with Tsering bhai +91 94182 08987, +91 70187 31609, +91 89887 78987 for any Kinnaur Spiti tour and travel services including stay at Pin Valley. He is a pioneer in the region and also runs 2-3 hotels and homestays there in Kaza.
First of all, thank you very much for these informative videos. We are planning to visit mainly Spity valley from Chandigargh. Our plan is for 7 days, like Day 1: Chandigarh to Sarahan (275 km) Day 2: Sarahan to Nako(~175 km) night stay at Nako Day 3: Nako to Kaza (~115 km) Dhankar Monastery, pin valley Day 4: Kaza side scenes (Langza, ki monastery) Day 5: Kaza to Chandratal and nigh stay at Batal Day 6: Batal to Manali (~110 km) Day 7: Manali to Chandigarh (~280 km) Is this plan possible? please suggest me.
Here is my suggestion: Day 1: Chandigarh to Sarahan Day 2: Sarahan - Nako - Chango (Nako may hit you with AMS, so sleep at Chango) Day 3: Chango - Tabo - Dhankar - Pin Valley - Kaza Day 4: Kaza - Hikkim - Komic - Langza - Ki - Kibber Day 5: Kibber - Chicham - Chandratal and night stay at Batal Day 6: Batal to Manali Day 7: Manali to Chandigarh
Thanks for such a knowledgeable video. I always look forward for your videos and rely on these posts. Can you please suggest good clean and hygienic but eco homestays on this route. Thanks
I need your suggestion.... I am planning a group tour from 7 - 17 October. So, as I saw your video you suggest to visit this whole circuit during the first two weeks of October due to snowfall on 2 high passes. I just want to ask this - 1. Shall I start the tour from Manali - Kaza - Shimla because I will be starting in the 2nd week of the October and I better cross main high passes in first 3-4 days. 2. Is it possible to do this tour in 5 days, including 1 or 2 days trek? 3. Which is easy/moderate trek you suggest on this tour? Please suggest. Thanks.
Here are my inputs: 1. That is a good way to do it. Usually first two weeks are generally OK but if you do it that way, you take the risk out. 2. It will get rushed buddy. Treks you can do in Spiti Valley. Like a day or two village trek in Spiti after you acclimatize. You may do Langza to Komic.
for 10 day tour " Shimla side and ending at Manali with full circuit", Do I need to hire taxi from Shimla for the entire trip or can we hire separate taxis from places of stay? Shall we book hotels and taxis ourselves or through travel agencies? Please suggest.
Well, you can do t hat but it will be inconvenient. Your taxi driver can help you in finding places to stay on spot as well. You can get in touch with local drivers at the link here: devilonwheels.com/list-of-taxi-drivers-for-spiti-valley-kinnaur-valley/
Dheeraj ji bahut helpful video hai aapki kaafi help millegi travel karne walo ko☺️🙏 Solo travel 10 din me puri ki jaa sakti hai without own vehicle or car...?
yes Lokesh bhai, kari ja sakti hai.. isi series mein aapko aagay episode milega jismein aap kar sakte ho public transport se spiti trip: ua-cam.com/video/sAWVo5vfYNo/v-deo.html
Thanks for sharing this video. Is it possible to do this tour in 8/9 days from Delhi? What should be cut in that case? And will that result in very long drives?
You can skip Sangla/Chitkul and go straight to Kalpa and then Tabo. Also you can skip night stay at Pin Valley and move to Kaza after Tabo. However like you said, it will surely make it a bit hectic.
Thanks for making this video. It's very informative! Can you share your opinion on doing Spiti in April end/ early May? I understand it will have to be from Shimla side. Would most places you mentioned in the video be accessible? How about Chandratal? What can expected in terms of the weather and road conditions? Also if one wants to do a relaxed visit and not shift accomodation every night, what are the best places to spend 2 nights in and soak in the surroundings? Appreciate your help!
Early May, it may be possible that even Chandratal is also accessible as snow is less this year but nothing certain as you know with these places. Weather will be fine in May but cold in Spiti especially with morning and nights and high villages. How many total days do you have in hand?
Thanks for the reply@@discoverwithdheeraj Yes, you are right about the weather. Yesterday I spoke with a homestay owner in Kaza and he said there has been less snow this year, so he expects things to open up sooner this year. But at the same time I was checking AccuWeather and it was predicting snowfall during end April. So one can never be fully sure about the weather in the mountains :) We have 8 days in total. Starting point is Chd. I am hoping to spend the second night in Tabo or even Kaza if possible. So taking out 4 days for two and fro travel, we will have 4 days to spend in Spiti valley. The goal is to spend time in places that allow for a bit slow travel experience with great views, light walks/treks. I was thinking of Pin valley as well, either Tailing or Mudh. The other place could be Langza or Ki/Kibber. Definitely want to avoid staying in Kaza though we will visit to check out the bazar. Will appreciate your suggestions and guidance on this rough plan.
I am sorry, I missed it. Well, you should stay at Tabo first before Kaza. Then go to Pin Valley after visitng Dhankar. You can stay further ahead of Kaza at Rangrik and make it the base.
Hai Dheeraj jiii very useful information 🙏🙏🙏 just want to know normally how will be the road and climate conditions in second half of August Can we complete the circuit from Shimla side?
Dada, we are planning to visit Spiti on October from Kolkata. We will start from Shimla. I just wanted your suggestion - Kya HRTC k bus se Spiti acchi tarha ghum sakte hai? Ya fir bike hire karna better rahega.. ? Because hum 2log hi jayenge. October ko Spiti ka rasta khula rahege k nehi iss ko lekar bhi confusion hai.. because of the 3rd stream of Covid.
Ocotber mein raaste to open rehte hain. Aap Spiti Shimla aur Manali dono side se jaa sakte ho aur buses Kaza k liye bhi mil jayengi. Spiti k andar thoda buses kam chalti hain to aapko thodi bahut hitch hike karke ya lift maang kar ya fer local jeeps jo chalti hain wahan villagers k liye unko use karna hoga.
HI Dheeraj. I am planning to do this circuit from Pune in coming mid Aug. 1st question, is mid aug advisable considering there were many landslides a month back. 2) My wife gets very scared of heights so i want to avoid the suicide point one route - so which route to take 3) I want to give 6-7 days post leaving shimla and then enter back via manali - so what circuit should i plan. Thx in advance.
I am planning a trip to Spiti in May end this year. Your video said to proceed from Shimla to Sangla on Day 2. If on Day 2 I go to Sarahan from Shimla via Narkanda, will that be practical?
Dheeraj ji , We are 14 senior citizens in the age grp of 60 to 75 and plan to complete circuit of Chandigarh Shimla Narkanda , Sangla kalpa Nako Tabo Kaza Konzum pass Manali and back to Chandigarh in 12 days ..Will we face any problem of breathing or AMS etc ?
Dhananjay Ji, plz follow the itinerary in the video from Shimla side, travel slowly and keep everyone well hydrated throughout. In case anyone has any existing medical conditions then plz talk to the doctor before venturing on the trip and take doctors consultation after telling them about the visit to high altitude. Otherwise it shall be OK in general
Hi sir thankyou for the itinerary.. inam planning to visit the 1st itinerary in 2nd week of oct. Will it be fine or the road (kaza - manali)will be closed? And 2nd ques is do i need to hire a personal car or there will be local transport or traveller during 2nd week of October? Looking for a reply.. And thanks for this video 😊
It should be ok, just that before leaving Kaza check the weather update and then leave on that route You can get in touch with local taxi drivers for bookings, link on my blog. Local transport will also be there but limit your ability to do sightseeing and take pictures on the way. Plus some places you need to rely on hitchhiking
Sir Aapse Sirf Ek Question Hai Shimla Se Kinnaur raste Spity and return from same route pura explore karna hai time bahut mere pass 15 days, bus ek doubt hai mere pass i20 petrol version hai 1200 CC hachback kya isase main comfortably is toure ko kar paunga.mera pahado ka recent anubhav Sonauli se Kathmandu and kathmandu se Pokhra Nepal and Pokhra to Gorakhpur Pokhra Sarngkot bhi car ko le ke gaya tha.
Truly awesome and extremely well researched and informative. We’re planning to visit between 14th Aug to 22nd Aug (9 days) from Chandigarh. Can you suggest how to cut down a day from your itinerary which is for 10 days. Will prefer entry from Simla and exit from Manali. Thanks a lot.
Thanks dheeraj bhai... Plz share us if we wanna camping with family after Delhi... Where is the safest places for self camping with our own tent in spiti as per your itinerary ...
Plz check this blog as it will take couple of weeks for me to reach this topic of camping in Spiti Valley devilonwheels.com/camping-in-spiti-valley-kinnaur-valley/amp/
thank you bhai, Ladakh k rules mein koi change nahin hai bhai abhi tak. Sabhi ko (including vaccinated people) 96 hrs old tak ki negative RT PCR report chahiye.
Hello sir, very interesting & superb information shared, thanks a lot, all spiti valley video are very useful for me , myself and my husband like to do trekking also in these spiti valley, could you please let me know some information about gud homestay or gud hotel as we don't want to stay in tent

I have become your fan for the way you share detailed information... My Mind has changed and i am planning to go from Shimla side... Planning to start from Chandigarh in morning where can i reach and have night stay... Awaiting your guidance...
Thank you so much bhai, means a lot to me that these videos are proving helpful. It is a good decision to go via Shimla side and since you are starting from Chandigarh, you can probably make it to either Narkanda for easy drive a stretch a bit to Sarahan.
Hi sir. I'm planning my spiti trip in aug 3rd from Chandigarh. Which is the best route to take between 1. Chandigarh - shimla- narkanda - sangla Or 2. Chandigarh - jibhi - ramphur - sangla ?? Please suggest
@@discoverwithdheeraj Thank you so much for the information. Can I get the latest information on RTPCR report or e-pass latest updates on spiti travel ?? I'm traveling from Banglore , South India. I'm confused with the mutliple Information on this topic
Awesome itenary can you please tell me best time to visit spiti I am planning from 30th April to may 9 from Shimla to spiti me and my wife travelling on bike is it safe to travel at that time
We are planing trip to Spiti valley from Shimla to Manali. And we are planing around 25august 21 . We have Innova Automatic . Can we go to chandertal lake and route from chandertal lake to Manali. Can Innova automatic go through this road or we should take any other vehicle. Please suggest
Innova shall be able to take care of the road challenges. A lot of Innovas run on that route and being Automatic as well there should not be much of an issue as I have taken XUV AMT which did not face much issues.
We are planning for spiti valley of 7 days with below route -- Day -1 - Jalandhar to Rampur 340km Day-2 - Rampur to - Nako 185km Day -3 Nako to kaza 115km (off road) Day -4 kaza local explore Day -5 kaza to chandertal lake 100 km Day 6 chandertal to Manali 111km Day -7 Manali to Jalandhar Is it good plan to go? We are not going to chitkul
Well, traveling to Spiti via Shimla side helps a lot in acclimatization but idea is that you go slowly like described in the itinerary in the video. Plus you all must be hydrated all the time properly and avoid sleeping at high altitude places like high villages and Chandratal lake to be on safe side with kids and adults. Also plz check Q30. Can I take my 5-10-year-old kid to Leh Ladakh trip? [Ladakh Trip with Kids] ua-cam.com/video/-nhWSSkQJjc/v-deo.html It is made for Ladakh but quite applicable to any high altitude place
Hi Dheeraj...very helpful video. We are planning in June ...can you suggest some stay options in pin valley Mud village, Langza or hikkm etc small villages & their contact . The clipping you used taken in which months. Julley Thanks
Thanks a lot.. you may check below two links on my blog devilonwheels.com/spiti-valley-homestays/amp/ devilonwheels.com/good-hotels-accommodation-spiti-valley-kinnaur-valley/amp/
What is the taxi fare if we book a taxi from Chandigarh to Spiti for a round trip and exit via Manali back to Chandigarh. Leave Chandigarh on the 14th of May and be back in Chandigarh on the 21st of May. Any good taxi numbers that you can recommend ?
More or less it is 3800-4000 per day for the taxi. Here is the recommended local drivers devilonwheels.com/list-of-taxi-drivers-for-spiti-valley-kinnaur-valley/amp/
Bhai I do not sell any tours. If someone tells you otherwise, they are fooling you under my name and I have no relation to such people. Some have made identical spelling brands too but there is only one original “Devil on Wheels” and we don’t sell any tours, just share information that too for free…
Plz check this Q10. How to plan a budget trip to Spiti Valley by Public Transport? Spiti Valley Trip in Rs 8000 ua-cam.com/video/sAWVo5vfYNo/v-deo.html
HI DHeeraj I reside at Mumbai and own a Dominar 400, In your opinion what should be better from below two opitons? 1) Arriving chandigarh and renting a bike 2) Transporting my bike from Mumbai to Chandigarh What will be cost effective for me? Any idea?
As of last week Leh dc office was still issuing Permit and asking folks to do so. I believe on the new rule more clarity is yet to come so it will be safe to apply it. All this if you are talking about Ladakh. For Spiti you never needed ILP being Indian.
hi dheeraj planning my trip to spiti from shimla route by car 1st week of april 2023 details you provided is very good and will follow on my way. any specific details i need to keep in mind on way pls share. thank you
Amish bhai, great you are able to find my videos useful. Well, it will be kinda cold conditions in Spiti so plz ensure you are going well prepared with clothing and all.
Hi , Thank you so much for this detailed spiti valley itenary ♥️ i have a small question regarding Rohtang Pass I just want to travel to Sissu via Rohtang Pass from Manali and return from sissu to Manali via Atal Tunnel the same day (so that i can experience both atal tunnel as well as rohtang pass) . wil i need a beyond Rohtang pass permit ? Will be travelling on a two wheeler .any suggestions on this would be really helpful 🙏
Yes because you are traveling in direction from Manali to Rohtang. It is better that go to Sissu via Atal Tunnel and come back via Rohtang Pass. No permit needed then 😀
Hello, sir! Can you please suggest the expense of the whole plan participated by two people (including accommodation, food, transport and sightseeing) following your itinerary? Also, are rented cars in sharing option available in all the spots you mentioned to be convenient for night stay?
UA-cam ka algorithm hi samajh nahi aata mujhe. Host - Perfect. Presentation - Perfect. Story telling - Perfect. Contents - Super perfect. Hard work on research - Perfect. But views ? In hundreds/thousands 🤔. Sir, Perfect to koi nahi but aap perfection se jyaada dur bhi nahi. To problem kaha hai pata nahi.
Ha ha, thanks a lot Mukesh bhai… ye mere liye bhi mystery hai, shayad kabhi to resolve hogi.. but is tarah k comment motivation high rakhte hain aur jyada se jyada helpful content share karne k liye aur motivate karte hain views aur shares aur subscribers k baare mein na soch kar jyada 😀😀
Hi Dheeraj, extremely informative and clearly explained video We are 2 families that plan to go to Spiti in May Is 2nd and 3rd week of may a good time to visit Spiti? via the Shimla/Narkhanda route. We will be travelling with Kids . What does one need to prepare for? Should we expect more chances of road closures in May as compared to June? Will it be ok to book hotel/homestay on the fly or pre-book? Thanks in advance :)
May is a good time to travel Punit, you should be OK to book homestays on fly if you are OK to search a bit.. nowadays lot of people travel during summer holidays and hence you may need to search a bit but I do not believe that you wont get them on spot, you will but with some effort and searching.
@@discoverwithdheeraj Dheeraj Bhai, again thanks for the prompt reply. I am planning to do Spiti via shimla route and back also that way. I read your blog as well on the same in addition to the video. The pdf is very helpful. I have a very fundamental question... In the route that you have described there are multiple days where we have more than 8 hrs of drive... I was just wondering that the time you have mentioned is just the non stop travel time or it covers multiple sight seeing points as well I plan to connect to the local drivers as well that you have mentioned on your other video We plan to hire a tempo traveler as we are 2 families in all
Punit bhai, the time I have mentioned covers time of stops on the way as well. It is not 100% non-stop travel time but includes somewhat sightseeing and couple of necessary breaks. Sounds good, yes for two families Tempo Traveler will be better for traveling together
@@discoverwithdheeraj Dheeraj Bhai - after following your itinerary, we have tentatively finalised the below plan. This was done considering we are traveling with Kids and the fact that we dont want to pack/unpack everyday. We have planned for 2 nights in Sangla and2 Nights in Tabo (instead of Kalpa and Pin-Valley). Please suggest or let us know if we need to modify. We are in touch with a few drivers you have recommended and most of them have said that Manali route will open by first week of May (we will be in Kaza in last week of May) Will eagerly wait for your feedback :) and thanks again.. your blogs and websites are so useful Day 1: (Mumbai) Chandigarh to Shimla (reach Shimla at 9 pm) Day 2: Shimla to Sangla (via Sarahan) Day 3: Sangla - Chitkul - Sangla (change of itinerary to have 2 nights in Sangla) Day 4: Sangla - Kalpa - Nako - Nako Lake - Geyu - Tabo Day 5: Tabo - Dhankar = Dhankar Lake - Pin Valley - Tabo (change of itinerary to have 2 nights in Tabo) Day 6: Tabo / Pin valley - Kaza - Ki - Kibber - Gette - Tashigang - Kaza Day 7: Kaza - Langza - Komik - Hikkim - Kaza Day 8: Kaza - Kunzum Pass - Chandrataal Day 9: Battal/Chandrataal - Kunzumpass - RohtangPass - Manali Day 10: Manali / Buffer Day Day 11: Manali - Delhi (overnight bus) Day 12: Delhi - Mumbai

If have that idea so we can plan our budgets of food which is very important. In last after seeing your video I am satisfied and happy to many vedios from your playlist. Keep rocks, All tbe best 👍
Kindly let me know can I complete itinerary from Shimla to Manali via kalpa kaza chadartal in nine days instead of 10 days as u explained in this vdo. Kindly reply
Hello sir! great itinerary and I’ll definitely be following the shimla to shimla route. Thing is I might only have 9 days instead of 10, what can I remove from the itinerary, considering I want to stay in mud village one night.
Thanks for this great video. We are planning a spiti trip next week. Was planning from manali but looks like the route from Manali is closed now. Thinking of Shimla route now. Is it open now? And can we rent bikes from Shimla and do this trip?
Yes the route is open from Shimla side.. it closes open due to frequent landslides but mostly they clear it in a day.. NigulSari village landslide point is closed from 11 AM to 1 PM so time your exit from it accordingly
Hi Deeraj, Could you please recommend a good tours and travels to plan the entire Spiti circuit with hotels and car with local driver. Looking for someone reliable and genuine. Thanks in advance:)

Hi Dheeraj, I had a question about my upcoming Spiti trip. We are a family of 3 starting our trip from Chandigarh from July 2, 2023 for a period of 12 days. Given the weather conditions that resulted in landslides a few days ago, I would like to ask if it will be safe to start our journey. While I understand no one can provide a definite answer to this, it would really help to seek your advice. Briefly our itinerary is Chandigarh - Narkanda - Sangla - Kalpa - Tabo - Kaza - Chandratal - Naggar - Chandigarh. Please guide.
Looking at the weather conditions, it looks ok in Kinnaur and Spiti for first week of July.. lower hills there are rains especially the Shimla side but once you cross it, then it shall be OK.. just keep checking weather updates and travel as per weather advisory
@@discoverwithdheeraj Great. Thanks. Also, at the end of the trip we will be at Manali and will be traveling onward towards Chandigarh to catch the return flight. Will it be better to take an alternative route considering that the landslides happened on this highway a few days ago? Maybe going back from the Kinnaur side itself? What do you think?
Yes Gopal it is possible but before leaving Kaza to Manali check weather forecast and avoid in case snowfall or rainfall is predicted and also don’t sleep at Chandratal just visit on the way to Manali from Kaza side
Dheeraj bhai we are planning to do Spiti from Shimla side in our Swift Dzire VDI, will start around 26 or 27th of this month. Wanted to ask you that based on present road/weather conditions will it be doable in swift...Or we should drop the car plan and go on bikes..? And yes we are quite experienced hill drivers, have travel extensively across UK & HP, in our swift itself. However will it be wise and hassle free to take it to Spiti? Your suggestions will be the very valuable. Thanks.

can we travel on 19 july in sacch pass
Can I travel such way by i10 car
It is a rainy forecast next week which will mean trouble up there in Pangi Valley and most roads may have swollen water crossings around Sach Pass
I don’t really recommend traveling by small car from Kaza to Manali. However if you go from Shimla side and come back the same, it shall be doable
Bhai also tell about risk of high altitude sickness/low oxygen places in the trip if any....
This is surely the best itinerary

Hi... I completely agree and understand why you are getting so much love from your subscribers and followers... Not only you make useful videos, but also address to all the doubts and clarify them... I have a silly doubt regarding the same (Itinerary 1)...
As per your itinerary the following are the places where we are supposed to halt at night:
Night 1: Shimla...
Night 2: Chitkul...
Night 3: Kalpa...
Night 4: Tabo...
Night 5: Pin Valley (Mud Village)...
Night 6: Kaza
Night 7: Kaza
Night 8: Chandrapal / Battal
Night 9: Manali
Night 10: Delhi
Apart from Shimla, Manali and Delhi can you suggest us some budget stays in Spiti???
Thank you in Advance and keep Shining 🌟🌟
I will recommend not to sleep at Chitkul but sleep at Sangla or Rakcham on second night and then visit Chitkul in day time. But avoid night sleep up there. Rest looks good.

Awesome plan brother
Good detailed video @dheeraj. I hv one qus like , in year 2022 what is the best month to follow ur first itinery, means going from shimla and coming from kunjum-rohtang-manali.
June to mid of July and September to middle of October
My queries for a road trip, self driven couple, to Spiti Valley. Wish for easy relaxing trip- Shimla side.
1. Most suitable month for trip.
2. Is KIGER (Renault) car good for the trip.
3. Do you get mechanics on way.
4. How to book hotel accommodation for stay..
5. Should one carry food and petrol.
Thanks.
Col Verma (Retd)
Here are the replies:
1. Best month will be after 5th September.
2. You can take that car but then you need to be careful on the Manali Kaza road.
3. You get mechanics till Kaza from Shimla every few 100 KMs but between Kaza and Manali/Solang there will not be any mechanics.
4. For stays options in Spiti Valley, please refer following:

5. Food you get on the way at most places and Petrol, you will not get between Kaza to Manali.
Thanks a lot. You have been very helpful.

Thanks for the detailed information. Is there any rental self drive suv service for Spiti valley round trip in July 2022 ?
Thanks in advance.
You can rent it from Volr/Zoomcar type of services from Chandigarh or Delhi
First of all, Thank you for the detailed explanation :)
Q- Do we need any e-pass for this circuit ?
Our plan is for 7 days, like
Day 1: Chandigarh to Sarahan (275 km)
Day 2: Sarahan to Nako(~175 km) night stay at Nako
Day 3: Nako to Kaza (~115 km) Dhankar Monastery, pin valley
Day 4: Kaza side scenes (Langza, ki monastery)
Day 5: Kaza to Chandratal and nigh stay at Batal
Day 6: Batal to Manali (~110 km)
Day 7: Manali to Chandigarh (~280 km)
Is this plan possible? please suggest me.
Here is my suggestion:
Day 1: Chandigarh to Sarahan
Day 2: Sarahan - Nako - Chango (Nako may hit you with AMS, so sleep at Chango)
Day 3: Chango - Tabo - Dhankar - Pin Valley - Kaza
Day 4: Kaza - Hikkim - Komic - Langza - Ki - Kibber
Day 5: Kibber - Chicham - Chandratal and night stay at Batal
Day 6: Batal to Manali

@@discoverwithdheeraj thanks again Dheeraj bhai . 🙏
I need your suggestion....
I am planning a group tour from 7 - 17 October.
So, as I saw your video you suggest to visit this whole circuit during the first two weeks of October due to snowfall on 2 high passes.
I just want to ask this -
1.
Thanks.
Here are my inputs:
1. That is a good way to do it. Usually first two weeks are generally OK but if you do it that way, you take the risk out.
2. It will get rushed buddy. Treks you can do in Spiti Valley. Like a day or two village trek in Spiti after you acclimatize. You may do Langza to Komic.
@@discoverwithdheeraj Thanks a lot 🙏 You are so helpful.
My pleasure buddy
for 10 day tour " Shimla side and ending at Manali with full circuit", Do I need to hire taxi from Shimla for the entire trip or can we hire separate taxis from places of stay? Shall we book hotels and taxis ourselves or through travel agencies? Please suggest.
Well, you can do t hat but it will be inconvenient. Your taxi driver can help you in finding places to stay on spot as well. You can get in touch with local drivers at the link here: devilonwheels.com/list-of-taxi-drivers-for-spiti-valley-kinnaur-valley/

You're doing a great job Dheeraj through these videos. Keep up the good work!
Glad you like them! Sorry, I was not online for last few months. Took a break but now slowly resuming life online and this channel again.
@Dheeraj bhai: Do we get accommodation in Mud village neat PIN VALLEY or we have to stay in some other place on Day 5 end (Plan 1)?
Thanks for the reply@@discoverwithdheeraj
Yes, you are right about the weather. Yesterday I spoke with a homestay owner in Kaza and he said there has been less snow this year, so he expects things to open up sooner this year. But at the same time I was checking AccuWeather and it was predicting snowfall during end April. So one can never be fully sure about the weather in the mountains :)
We have 8 days in total.
Please check this video of mine: ua-cam.com/video/t76f-poOHyQ/v-deo.html
Yes, that is completely practical and can be easily done

We are 14 senior citizens in the age grp of 60 to 75 and plan to complete circuit of Chandigarh Shimla Narkanda , Sangla kalpa Nako Tabo Kaza Konzum pass Manali and back to Chandigarh in 12 days ..Will we face any problem of breathing or AMS etc ?
It should be ok, just that before leaving Kaza check the weather update and then leave on that route
You can get in touch with local taxi drivers for bookings, link on my blog. Local transport will also be there but limit your ability to do sightseeing and take pictures on the way. Plus some places you need to rely on hitchhiking

Is this trip safe for 5 years old kids ? Would they be ok while travelling health-wise?
Well, traveling to Spiti via Shimla side helps a lot in acclimatization but idea is that you go slowly like described in the itinerary in the video. We are 2 families that plan to go to Spiti in May
Is 2nd and 3rd week of may a good time to visit Spiti? via the Shimla/Narkhanda route. We will be travelling with Kids . What does one need to prepare for?
Should we expect more chances of road closures in May as compared to June? Will it be ok to book hotel/homestay on the fly or pre-book?

May is a good time to travel Punit, you should be OK to book homestays on fly if you are OK to search a bit.. nowadays lot of people travel during summer holidays and hence you may need to search a bit but I do not believe that you wont get them on spot, you will but with some effort and searching.

Kindly let me know can I complete itinerary from Shimla to Manali via kalpa kaza chadartal in nine days instead of 10 days as u explained in this vdo. Kindly reply
Yes Harry you can do it. Skip the part of one day in Kinnaur Valley, either kalpa or sangla
One question more plz.. is it ok to make itinerary from 15 June in context of rainy weather.
Kindly reply ❤️🙏
Mid June is mostly god time. Sometimes premonsoon showers create problems in lower hills but on weather we don’t have much control
Thanks to respond Mr dheeraj ji
Hello sir! great itinerary and I’ll definitely be following the shimla to shimla route. Thing is I might only have 9 days instead of 10, what can I remove from the itinerary, considering I want to stay in mud village one night.
You can skip the extra day in Kinnaur when exploring Chikul. Spend half a day next day and move to next destination on Day 8
Thanks for this great video.
Hi Deeraj,
Could you please recommend a good tours and travels to plan the entire Spiti circuit with hotels and car with local driver. Looking for someone reliable and genuine.

Jyada kuch development nahin hai, waisi si hi hai.. dirt track type ki road hai ek dum
Is it possible to travel in spiti - kaza- kunzum pass- chandratal lake in May 3rd-4th wk in 2023 ?????
Most likely the road to Chandratal should open by April end
Hi Dheeraj,
I had a question about my upcoming Spiti trip.
Sir, We are planning to visit spiti Vally from 14th to 24th Oct’21..is it possible to do tour plan-1 Shimla to Manali rout..Thanks in advance
Yes Gopal it is possible but before leaving Kaza to Manali check weather forecast and avoid in case snowfall or rainfall is predicted and also don’t sleep at Chandratal just visit on the way to Manali from Kaza side
shimla se spiti velly jane ke leye e pass zrori hai kya
Do we need to get any permit while riding from kalpa kaza to Manali ?
Kindly let me.know
Only foreigners need permit to travel on that route
Dheeraj bhai we are planning to do Spiti from Shimla side in our Swift Dzire VDI, will start around 26 or 27th of this month. Wanted to ask you that based on present road/weather conditions will it be doable in swift...Or we should drop the car plan and go on bikes..? And yes we are quite experienced hill drivers, have travel extensively across UK & HP, in our swift itself. However will it be wise and hassle free to take it to Spiti? Your suggestions will be the very valuable. Thanks.
You should be able to travel by Swift from Shimla side.
@@discoverwithdheeraj Thanks bhai, it means a lot.
Happy to help bhai
