13-14 days itinerary I have shared in the video Rupam bhai.. you can adjust days of travel in between and post a draft here for a review.. I would be happy to share my inputs around it
You are a boon for Ladakh travellers, thanks. This itinerary is for the most energetic people, very tight. In practical terms, you really cannot cover this much.
Thank you Sunil ji.. well, of course it involves every day travel with due to lack of leaves practically this is completely possible and lot of people do follow it.. but yes if you want to soak in and have much relaxed trip then you should add more days in it
Sirji, you truly have an entire encyclopaedia of Information about Leh & Ladakh.. Ek trip Aap ke saath zaroor karna chahunga from Mumbai.. Kindly oblige.... 🙏

Mr. Dheeraj Bai… Very useful information and very good information all around the Leh trip… Last year I went the same itenery from Delhi to Delhi the same with Siachen and Pangong … Thanks for your updates …..🙏
1. Leh-Nubra-Pangong-Turtuk-Siachen-Leh 2. Leh-Hanle-Umlingla-leh 3. Leh-Tso moriri-Tsokar-pang-Sarchu-Jispa-keylong-manali. Sir is this planning good?
Extremely helpful video and information. I have two questions.... 1. For planning this entire trip, do I need to make two sets of cab booking ? a. Booking 1: Book a cab from Srinagar to Leh to be covered in 2 days. Should I use this Srinagar cab to add suru valley for another 2 days (i.e. total 4 days from srinagar to leh)? b. Booking 2: Book another cab from Leh to cover leh sighteeing, nubra, turtuk, pangong, tsomoriri (6 days) and manali drop (2 days) for total 8 days 2. What kind of vehicle should I book for a family of three (2 adult, 1 child 10 yr) ?
Hey Prinyanko.. thanks.. well you can call. Ladakh based taxi driver who can come and pick you up at Srinagar and do all the sightseeing including Suru and then drop you at Manali.. My blog has list of many taxi drivers, Chamba on #1 is best 2. Go for Innova for best comfort

Actually 3 friends, all almost sixty are planning to leave from Jammu on the 8th. Fitness decent, one is diabetic all in control though. Hello Dheeraj bhai, its really helping us to plan our journey based on your videos. I have planned below itinerary from Pune - Leh - Manali - Pune. I am planning to start on 15th May and could be crossing Manali May end. not sure road will open during that time fame. Please check below itinerary and share any thoughts and let me know if any changes required. Day 1 Pune to Ratlam - 663 (14 hours) Day 2 Ratlam to Jaipur via Ajmer, pushkar 523 KM (9 hours) Day 3 Jaipur to Amritsar - 644 KM (12 hours) Day 4 Amritsar Atari border. Day 5 Amritsar to Srinagar - 413 KM (11 hours) Srinagar explore Dal lake, shalimar garden, nageen lake. eat Kashmiri dam alu, wazwan Day 6 Srinagar to Kargil via Zozila, Sonmarg - 200 (6 hours) - Dras Rajma chawal in Ali dhaba, Kargil war memorial Day 7 Kargil to Leh via Lamayuru - start early 216 (5 hours) Mulbekh (Budha Statue), Indus-zanskar revier sangam, patharsahib gurudwara, magnetic hill, war memorial (evining n only card & monday closed) Day 8 Leh - leh palace, Hall of fame & Sangam, Shanti stupa, dinner at changspa road. Day 9 Leh - Rancho school, Chemery, Hemis,Thiksey,Shey, Stakna monestry. Day 10 Khardungla, Diskit & Nubra valley, Turtuk village - additional day. Day 11 Pangong (Leave early around 6 AM) Go from Nubra not via Leh, will save 1 day. Day 12 Pangong to Sarchu or Jispa or Keylong or Manali. - 583 KM (13 hours) Day 13 Day in Manali - Hadimba Temple, Mall road. Day 14 Manali to Narnol - 580 KM (11 Hours) Day 15 Narnol to Ratlam - 700 KM (12 hours) Day 16 Ratlam to Pune 663 KM (14 hours)
Hello Abhishek bhai.. Well, at the glimpse of it, your plan is pretty hectic. Day 5: It is very long, mostly you will reach way late by evening so forget doing whatever you have written there. Ideally you should split at Patnitop Day 8,9: Good to take rest for couple of days Day 10: Turtuk you already know that will need one more day Day 12: It will be very long too and considering it will be early season with Manali Leh Highway MAY NOT be OPEN at all or may have timing restrictions, better keep a buffer day there to be ready to split the journey. All this is also considering you are OK with such long hours of ride or drive and have stamina to do it for back to back days mostly. Plus like I said Manali Leh Highway will be open or not or safe or not, time can only tell.
Here is what I will suggest: Day 5 Amritsar to Patnitop Day 6 Patnitop to Srinagar Day 7 Srinagar to Kargil via Zozila, Sonmarg Day 8 Kargil to Leh via Lamayuru Day 9 Leh - leh palace, Hall of fame & Sangam, Shanti stupa, dinner at changspa road. Day 10 Leh - Rancho school, Chemery, Hemis,Thiksey,Shey, Stakna monestry. Day 11 Khardungla, Diskit & Nubra valley Day 12 Turtuk village - additional optional day. Day 13 Pangong (Leave early around 6 AM) Go from Nubra not via Leh, will save 1 day. Day 14 Pangong to Leh If Manali Leh is open: Day 15 Leh to Sarchu Day 16 Sarchu to Manali Day 17 Day in Manali Rest for long ride ahead Day 18 Manali to Narnol - 580 KM (11 Hours) If Manali Leh is NOT open: Day 15 Leh to Kargil Day 16 Kargil to Srinagar Day 17 Srinagar to Jammu Day 18 Jammu to Narnol - 660 KM (12 Hours)
Thank you so much Dheeraj bhai. You are Great. Fantastic information. God bless you and your family abundantly with good health happiness and prosperity. Stay blessed

@discoverwithdheeraj I used to trek to bandarpoonch and Tibet border during the 80's and 90's to see snow leopards. I also helped the ITBP set up base camp
@discoverwithdheeraj oh yes I miss those. I never left trash behind in fact we never carried any. Just a sleeping bag and a small rucksack once we got the experience. No tent, no water and managed with halazone tablets. With elephant chasing and smashing my cycle in moti chur jungle to going without food for two days at kirti glacier.
Very useful information and I followed your suggestion for my Spiti Trip. Kindly suggest 10 days road trip itenary Delhi-leh-manali- Delhi. We are planning in 1st week of June via Srinagar.
Very Gud job bro. U r way of explaining is very gud. I m planning to visit Leh Ladakh starting frm Ambala on 1st week of Sep 2023. Thx for all the info. Subscribed u. 😊
Thank you for sharing this plan. I have been checking blog from last few months for my 1st trip to Ladakh. This is how I have planned each night Delhi, Pathankot, Srinagar, Kargil, Leh, Leh, Hunder, Pangong, Hanle, Sumdo (via Tso Moriri, Pang, Jispa, Panipat, Delhi We three friends will be driving with two children (14 & 13yrs). We will start from Kolkata on 27th May or 2nd June and will start from Delhi the following day. J am looking for your advise if you think my itinerary is not doable
Sir 1.magnetic hill bhi milega kya 2.agar single person ko leh to manali tour Krna ho to kaise hoga 3.Bike aur vehicals me kaun sa better and safe hoga, most important ye hai ki package lene phle booking krni hogi to aajkal fraod bhi bahut hote hai to koi travellers jo cheapest and best package de de,kya srinagar se bike hier krke manali drop kar skte hai aur bike se visit krne me aur log sath rahenge ki akele krna padega iske sath me guide bhi hote hai kya mera question lamba hai iske liye sorry 🙏 pahli bar man me kyi sari querries hoti hai
Dost, neeche mere answers diye hua hain: 1. Magnetic hill aapko is itinerary mein Day 3 par Kargil se Leh jaate hue milega 2. aap solo travel k liye mera ye wala video dekhein 3. aap agar solo travel kar rahe hain to aap shared taxi lekar Srinagar se Leh pahunche ya fer buses k jariye.. videos hain isi playlist mein. Jab Leh pahunch jaaoge to fer wahan local sightseeing k liye leh ki local rental shop se bike rent karlena.. booking wahin jaakar bhi kar sakte ho
You skipped Teetwal > Gulmarg in srinagar Hanle > Umling La also. Pangong lake se leh jane ka koi fayeda nahi h jab pehle hi 2 din leh m stay kar liya h to.. Acha rahega pangong lake se direct jispa jaa sakte h..
Dost aap 14-16 minute k beech mein maine additional days k baare mein bataya hua hai.. vo dekhein taaki aapko idea lag jaaye.. baaki kaafi saari itineraries banayi jaa sakti hain har kisi person k according.. but maine ek most relaxed itinerary pehle share kari hai jisko use karke normal tourist Ladakh ko acche se enjoy kar sakta hai..baaki flavours ka idea dene k liye Additional days k baare mein bataya hua hai ki aap kaise Turtuk, Siachen Base Camp, Hane, Umling La pass is itinerary mein add kar sakte ho...
Sir i have planned my trip almost exactly based on your video. I'm starting from Delhi on 21st may and have a target to reach back on 5th june. Do let me know if any tips or things i need be prepared for.
Best video on Leh trip...the way you have explained everything is really commendable. Will request if you can give some further information on which all hotels and homestays are advisable in budget and availability of fuel stations. Thanks

Very well explained . You should also have explained the perfect season to see snow fall or full snow capped mountains. You should also have explained the risks involved and most probable problems one may face. I am planning to do the tour by my SantaFe SUV in the month of May 24 with family . 10 years ago when I did this tour on bike , I missed "so morri " lake for example and many others as you explained I began to realize.
Hello Gopal bhai.. thank you so much.. all these topics are covered in the playlist in which this video is part of, you can refer them.. like 9 mistakes to avoid, best time for ladakh trip, winter ladakh trip, etc..
Hi sir, i planned Amritsar -- Srinagar -- Kargil -- Leh -- Nubra -- Hanle -- Manali -- Spiti Valley -- Shimla --- Chandigarh.. aisa planned hai. But muze abhi train booking karna hai bike ka bhi and mera bhi so June 1 se start karu to views ice rahega or nahi... Iske upar ek video banao sir , like 2023 ladakh spiti each month weather view sir please, and I've 25 days sir please make video asap
Thanks for the effort you putting bro.. But I have one question bro.. What is route for going to UMLING LA PASS from pangong.. Also from hanle village?
Aswini bhai, From Pangong Lake take the route towards Chusul - Tsaga La to reach Hanle. Then from Hanle you can either plan a day visit to Umling La Pass or Hanle to Umling La Pass then by evening to Tso Moriri. You can check this video of Umling La Pass Guide: ua-cam.com/video/_7Lv5prOTDk/v-deo.html
Hello Dheeraj, I am planning to do a road trip to ladakh from Guwahati on June, 2024. I have made this itinerary and this is the max leave (+ 7days for Guwhati-Delhi-Guwahati) I can get. Is there anything I should add or alter?? Also, Is mid of june good enough for this trip?? Day-1: Delhi to Srinagar Day-2: Srinagar to Kargil Day-3: Kargil to Leh Day-4: Leh Day-5: Leh-Siachen-Hunder Day-6: Hunder-Turtuk-Hunder Day-7: Hunder to Pangong Tso Day-8: Pangong to Hanle Day-9: Hanle-Umlingla-Hanle Day-10: Hanle to Tso Moriri Day-11: Tso Moriri to Manali Day-12: Manali to Delhi Day-13: Buffer
Bhai I have two suggestions: Day 5, skip Siachen as it will be very very long Day 11, Tso Moriri to Manali will be very very long.. consider Tso Kar as night stay the day before and then try.. otherwise you should stay at Jispa
Hello. I would like to visit Leh, Hanle and Tso Moriri. Do please advise in which month one should make this trip. What month can one see birds including black neck crane. Thanking you.
I am sorry about the bird watching but otherwise if snow if your preference then better visit May otherwise September second half is a good time to visit Ladakh.
Thank you Sir, As your suggestion we completed our full Spiti vally Circuit in this June. Next year we wish to explore lahul Vally . Pl.give me a clear picture and itinerary for lahul vally including jispa , Deepak tall and Uday pur. Thanks in advance.
@@discoverwithdheeraj Thanks for your response. Actually we wish to go in late March or early April. 14 days maximum. Wish to visit with snow covered hill, Need your help to build up a effective itinerary
@@discoverwithdheeraj Dheeraj Bhai.. can you please tell me that what is the timing to cross the zozila pass for personal vehicle from Srinagar side to the kargil side?
A very informative video. Thanks Dhheraj for a wonderful commentary. One question? I am also a vegetarian so which place in Leh and Hundar i can have my meals?
Thank you, well if you are asking for vegetarian food, you will get that in many places but if you talking about 100% pure vegetarian restaurant then I know about Neha Snacks in Leh but other places do serve non-veg along with veg food too.
Really Great Informative Video. I have one doubt. If we are group of 6-8 members and we want to rent the bike, then we can not follow this route. We need to return the rented bike to the source which will be Jammu/Patnitop, most probably.
Hi sir reality informative video. We are from southern part of India. Not used to cold weather but still want to experience at least bit of snow which months are favourable? Please share transport options for this circuit. Thank you so much.
Hi Dheeraj…I am planning to go Leh by road with my wife and 1 kid of 6.5 years…just check if cam hire a local guide who can be with us in leh sightseens including Nubura, Pangong and Turtuk village. We want to stay 1-1 night in Nubra, panggong and Turtuk
Sunil, most drivers act as guides only. Try to connect with local driver who can act both ways else your hotel in Leh can provide you the guide: devilonwheels.com/list-of-taxi-drivers-for-ladakh-srinagar-leh-manali/
Thanks for your guidance. Can you suggest 1-2 good organizers for this trip. Not the cheapest ones not the most expensive or luxurious ones, something good enough. I live in Bangkok and very interested in this trip, but not able to find one.

Following ur you tube informations since long. Your informations are very very useful. i want to plan a trip to Leh in august 2024. is it the right time time to travel.
Thanks for your response. Actually we wish to go in late March or early April. 14 days maximum. Wish to visit with snow covered hill, Need your help to build up a effective itinerary
I have 1-2 questions, 1. Can I cover Suru valley from Kargil upto Drang Drung glacier. 2. Can I go to TSomoriri direct from Pangong Tso . 3. How much time it takes from TSomoriri to Leh via Tsokar. 3.
1. Yes, you can cover Suru Valley. At ease you should add couple of days at Kargil or one day of 9-10 hrs drive you can do Suru Valley from Kargil and return to Kargil. It will be a bit hectic though. So, if you can add two days it is fine. 2. Yes, Pangong to Tso Moriri can be done via Chusul - Tsaga La - Loma - Nyoma - Mahe route. 3. Tso Moriri to Leh via Tso Kar will take about 10 hrs.
Hi Dheeraj, your videos are very informative. I need your suggestions on the following 1. Can we travel to tso moriri directly from Pangong or we need to come back to Leh to acclimitize? 2. And Can we travel to jispa directly from tso moriri or we need to come to leh to acclimatise? 3. Is it ok if I do pangong to tsomoriri n halt in tso moriri for a night and then tso moriri to jispa? Please reply asap. I would be grateful 4. Do I need to come to leh each time to acclimatise?
Hello Archana, thanks and here are my inputs: 1. You can travel directly to Tso Moriri via Chusul route. I will advice you to stay at Hanle for a night to break the journey. Only if you had difficulty or AMS symptoms at Pangong, then it is not adviced to travel to Tso Moriri as Tso Moriri is higher than Pangong. 2. Jispa is lower in altitude so Tso Moriri to Jispa can be done. 3. You should be OK but like I said, if you can add a day to rest at Hanle in between, it will be great. 4. You do not need to come to Leh
Hello Dheeraj Bhai, We as a Family are planning a trip in April,2025 ,is it the right month to visit? Also kindly add me another details from your side that whether we will get snow in the month of April,2025.
Dheeraj vai 14 th October Udhampur subah 5am pohuchunga.. I have two enquiries- 1. want to night stay at Sonmarg instead of Srinagar on 14th October night, is it possible if we start at 6am? 2.then next day early morning from Sonmarg to Leh is possible? Want to save 1 day actually… we are 3,and will go by innova crysta(taking number from your blog). Except this change We are following your 12 days itinerary plan🥰 Please reply
Hello bhai.. 1. It is possibble to stay at Sonamarg. 2. Sonamarg to Leh is possible too, just leave early so that you can do some places of sightseeing on the way. Make sure you take ample of rest after reaching Leh the next day to relax yourself and acclimatize better.

Hi. First of all thank you for the video it is very informative. My Q is, Do we get a two wheeler which we can pick up from Srinagar and drop at Ladakh ?
No, you dont get such for as hired mode.. there are rental bikes that are available in Srinagar which you yourself can ride but dropping them in Srinagar will help cost you a lot
Hello Dheeraj, Find your videos very helpful. I am planning my first Ladakh trip in mid June. I will be doing road trip from Mumbai. Last year I have done Mumbai to chitkul self drive trip so looking forward to leh. I needed to validate my planned itinerary hence needed help: I vl start from Delhi here: Vehicle : 2WD SUV (200mm GC) Day 1: Delhi to jammu Day 2: jammu to Srinagar Day 3 : srinagar to kargil Day 4 : kargil to leh Day 5 : leh Day 6 : leh to turtuk Day 7 : turtuk-hunder-diksit Day 8 : diksit to pangong Day 9 : pangong to leh Day 10 : leh to hanle Day 11 : hanle-umling la - leh Day 12: leh to sarchu Day 13: sarchu to manali Does this sound good to you? I don't wanna drive pangong to hanle direct due to fuel issues and road conditions on that route.
I will recommend following plan but you need to carry spare fuel with you for it Day 11 : hanle-umling la - Tso Moriri (start your day earl) Day 12: Tso Moriri to sarchu Day 13: sarchu to manali If you are worried of petrol/fuel, then you should add one day. It will be very very very long to do Umling La from Hanle and return to Leh. Adding a day will help you like this: Day 11 : hanle-umling la - Tso Moriri (start your day earl) Day 12: Tso Moriri to Karu (petrol pump) back to Upshi or Tso Kar lake Day 13: Upshi or Tso Kar lake to Keylong/Jispa Day 14: Keylong/Jispa - Chandigarh
@@discoverwithdheeraj thanks for inputs, appreciate it. but route to tso moriri is not tar road right it's mostly dirt road correct , and exit from tso moriri for manali leh highway is also similar right
Hello Dhiraj Bhaiya ,We as a family are planning a trip to Ladakh in the month of April,25 could you kindly let me know whether it is the right month to visit Ladakh ?Also kindly let me know whether we'll find snow in the month of April as we are quite fond of snow.
This is an awesome itinerary. This is really really good for our next trip. We have 21 days(7 days more as per your plan), anything we can do this trip. Can we add zanskar and spiti valley. The planning is in the middle of may . Srinagar -leh-manali?
@@discoverwithdheeraj final question. To zanskar, In this itinerary which day is good. Before kardungla or after hanle. We are planning pangon tso to direct hanle. We prefer drom leh with new route
Very informative, one clarification: how are the road condition to drive a car. Are there steep/ sharp dangerous turn. I am planning in My June as suggested by u via Jammu Srinagar route
Thank you, Nitin bhai.. well roads have improved a lot in the last few years now.. But yes around the passes there are some steep sections surely. If you drive carefully and cautiously, it shall be OK in general. Check my other videos on self-drive trip to Ladakh.
Dheeraj ji, thank you so much for such informative videos. We (me and my friend) are planning to visit Leh on 22nd April. Kindly suggest which road trip shall we plan, Srinagar or Manali. I think Manali will still be closed by that time. While returning, we have already booked flights. Also, if u could suggest on travel mode also mainly taxi. Thanks in advance!
Thank you Govind bhai.. I do not think that Manali Leh will be open and safe, both, by that time of the year. So, Srinagar to Leh is your best bet. In case there is not much snow this year and if it is safe to travel during April from Manali to Leh then only do it. Otherwise, follow Srinagar to Leh route both sides. You can refer to taxi drivers of Ladakh here: devilonwheels.com/list-of-taxi-drivers-for-ladakh-srinagar-leh-manali/
Hey Dheeraj Bhai. Have been watching your videos for very long time and have planned my next ladakh ride watching your Videos. Thanks. Now I have below Questions: 1. We should reach Srinagar by 5th of June and will the roads get cleared by then? We are riding from Delhi and I see there is have snowfall and Roads are closed for 2 wheelers. 2. Any alternate plan?

Considering your suggestions i have planned my trip starting May 21 from Delhi and below mentioned is the itinerary i have prepared so far please suggest if its doable or we need to tweak it: (BTW i am planning to go via my Swift with my wife and 9 year old son) Day 1 Delhi - Jammu/Patnitop Day 2 Jammu/Patnitop - Srinagar Day 3 Srinagar - Kargil Day 4 Kargil - Leh Day 5 Rest or local sightseeing in Leh Day 6 Leh - Nubra Valley via Khardungla Day 7 Nubra Valley - Pangong Lake Day 8 Pangong Lake - Hanle via chusul Day 9 Hanle - TSO Moriri (will try to cover Umlingla if my swift is allowed) Day 10 TSO moriri - Sarchu Day 11 Sarchu - Manali Day 12 Manali - Delhi It will be really nice if i can talk to you personally, please let me know if its possible. Really appreciate your efforts here. All the best !!!
I am happy to know my efforts are helful. Well, itinerary wise it is OK but you will need to carry spare fuel with you. The routes will be a bit challenging for a Swift especiall Pangong to Hanle, Nubra to Pangong some section and passes up there. Umling La car will be allowed but yet again I will say that it will be risky unless you are going well prepared with puncture repair kits, car is in good mechanical condition and you have some other vehicles which will tag along with you. Going along on these remote regions with family, does have risks associated in a small car.
@@discoverwithdheeraj Appreciate your reply Dheeraj bhai. Yes the car is in good mechanical condition and i am already planning to prepare as much as possible, i will be carrying the puncture kit, Jump start cable, extra tyre (apart from stepney), 1-2 Jery can, tyre inflator, Hydraulic Jack etc.. can i split the itinerary like in one trip i will cover Leh-Nubra-Turtuk-Nubra-Pangong-Leh then another trip Leh-Hanle-Umlingla-TSO Moriri-Manali keeping in mind i will be carrying atleast 1 Jery can for 20 liter. Or instead to go to Manali directly we can go to Karu and get a refill then leave for Manali. Additionally i wanted to know is there any personal guide type service being offered in Leh i mean if we can hire a local professional who can stay with us during those tricky circuits. i hope you understand my point. Please Please respond as soon as possible.
I will suggest that since there is a petrol pump now at Tangtse near Pangong, you should be OK to travel to Hanle directly. But then after tso Moriri better go over to Karu and refill there and return to either Upshi or Tso Kar lake for a stay from Debring side. Next day you can do like Tso Kar to jispa/keylong and then jispa/keylong to Chandigarh.
Dear Sir Good evening Me, my wife and 2 children (11 years old daughter & 5 years old son) want to drive to Leh. I plan to drive my father's car to Leh. My father will not come with us. Our car 2007 model - Petrol Honda Civic (17 Years Old Car). Is there any permit needed to apply for a 17 years old car to drive to Leh. Can I use my father's car ? FYI, we maintain our car in very good show room condition. We have a pollution free certificate from the RTO. We plan to drive in mid Jun 2023. Need your special advice. Awaiting your reply.
Good Morning bhai.. Well, you can use your father's car as you can prove the relationship with an National ID document and anyways a sedan car will not look like a rental car, so even the possibility of anyone checking from the doubts of rental car is very low. I am not aware of any permit that you may need. Although different states that you pass through may have different guidelines for using a car more than 15 yrs old, so you may need to check on those. But permit wise, I am not aware of any such special permit unless you want to take it to Rohtang Pass where I think there is a limit on age of vehicle. But since you will use Atal Tunnel, so I cannot think of any other place.
Thanks dheeraj, i am planning to go with my creta diesel with my wife for an expedition like trip. I am having 13 days in all, i will b going via srinagar and coming back to meerut via manali. I saw your videos but no videos included zanskar valley along with leh. I dnt knw the current condition of padum leh road. Along with leh i wud b including tsomoriri and then getting on to manali leh highway and coming back to manali. How wud you review this route plan? If padum leh road is not good then it wud waste around 1 day as i wud hv to first come back to kargil on 1st day and then going to leh next day, otherwise i can proceed firstly to padum and then leave for leh without coming back to kargil I wud b obliged if u wud share your insights 🙏🏻
Chetan, before I suggest anything including Zanskar, I would like to ask if you watched the video above because for 13 days I have already recommended Ladakh only plan.. I see you want to include Tso Moriri as well.. so in order to adjust Zanskar in 13 day plan, what part of Ladakh are you going to give up?
@@discoverwithdheeraj i wud like to skip leh acclimatisation 1 day, as there's nothing there to explore and i have been there once before, i wud b escalating via zanskar so i wont require acclimatisation. Plus i wud b having around half day wen returning from pangong tso as that ride wud b around 6 hrs
Dheeraj a quick question - coming from Delhi, which one would you recommend - Pathankot - Samba - Right Turn to Udhampur OR Pathankot - Samba - Jammu - Udhampur
Amazing video ❤ Is 22 May 24 to June 5th a good time to take this route? And any idea if there will be snow and if yes, which parts? I'm planning a bike trip following your itinerary. Love from Bangalore ❤
Should be OK but adventurous.. keep options open as Manali Leh may close intermittently early in the season.. Itinerary is good to follow 😀.. if you can delay by couple of weeks then both roads will be more stable and predictably open

You are a boon for Ladakh travellers, thanks. This itinerary is for the most energetic people, very tight. In practical terms, you really cannot cover this much.

Thanks for your updates

Thank you so much bhai! I am happy you follow the same plan and had a wonderful trip to Ladakh 🙏🙏

2. Leh-Hanle-Umlingla-leh
3. Leh-Tso moriri-Tsokar-pang-Sarchu-Jispa-keylong-manali.
Sir is this planning good?
Bhai just want to understand why do you want to come back from Umling La to Leh? You can go to Tso Moriri directly
Extremely helpful video and information.
I have two questions....
1. For planning this entire trip, do I need to make two sets of cab booking ?
a. Booking 1: Book a cab from Srinagar to Leh to be covered in 2 days. Should I use this Srinagar cab to add suru valley for another 2 days (i.e. total 4 days from srinagar to leh)?
b. Booking 2: Book another cab from Leh to cover leh sighteeing, nubra, turtuk, pangong, tsomoriri (6 days) and manali drop (2 days) for total 8 days
My blog has list of many taxi drivers, Chamba on #1 is best
2. Go for Innova for best comfort

Hello Abhishek bhai..
Well, at the glimpse of it, your plan is pretty hectic.
Day 5: It is very long, mostly you will reach way late by evening so forget doing whatever you have written there. Ideally you should split at Patnitop
Day 8,9: Good to take rest for couple of days
Day 10: Turtuk you already know that will need one more day
Day 12: It will be very long too and considering it will be early season with Manali Leh Highway MAY NOT be OPEN at all or may have timing restrictions, better keep a buffer day there to be ready to split the journey.
All this is also considering you are OK with such long hours of ride or drive and have stamina to do it for back to back days mostly. Plus like I said Manali Leh Highway will be open or not or safe or not, time can only tell.
@@discoverwithdheeraj Is it possible for you to give revised plan?
Here is what I will suggest:
Day 5 Amritsar to Patnitop
Day 6 Patnitop to Srinagar
Day 7 Srinagar to Kargil via Zozila, Sonmarg
Day 8 Kargil to Leh via Lamayuru
Day 9 Leh - leh palace, Hall of fame & Sangam, Shanti stupa, dinner at changspa road.
Day 10 Leh - Rancho school, Chemery, Hemis,Thiksey,Shey, Stakna monestry.
Day 11 Khardungla, Diskit & Nubra valley
Day 12 Turtuk village - additional optional day.
Day 13 Pangong (Leave early around 6 AM) Go from Nubra not via Leh, will save 1 day.
Day 14 Pangong to Leh
If Manali Leh is open:
Day 15 Leh to Sarchu
Day 16 Sarchu to Manali
Day 17 Day in Manali Rest for long ride ahead
Day 18 Manali to Narnol - 580 KM (11 Hours)
If Manali Leh is NOT open:
Day 15 Leh to Kargil
Day 16 Kargil to Srinagar
Day 17 Srinagar to Jammu
Day 18 Jammu to Narnol - 660 KM (12 Hours)

1. Magnetic hill aapko is itinerary mein Day 3 par Kargil se Leh jaate hue milega
2. aap solo travel k liye mera ye wala video dekhein
3. aap agar solo travel kar rahe hain to aap shared taxi lekar Srinagar se Leh pahunche ya fer buses k jariye.. videos hain isi playlist mein. Jab Leh pahunch jaaoge to fer wahan local sightseeing k liye leh ki local rental shop se bike rent karlena.. booking wahin jaakar bhi kar sakte ho
You skipped Teetwal > Gulmarg in srinagar
Hanle > Umling La also.
Pangong lake se leh jane ka koi fayeda nahi h jab pehle hi 2 din leh m stay kar liya h to..
Acha rahega pangong lake se direct jispa jaa sakte h..
Dost aap 14-16 minute k beech mein maine additional days k baare mein bataya hua hai.. vo dekhein taaki aapko idea lag jaaye.. baaki kaafi saari itineraries banayi jaa sakti hain har kisi person k according.. but maine ek most relaxed itinerary pehle share kari hai jisko use karke normal tourist Ladakh ko acche se enjoy kar sakta hai..baaki flavours ka idea dene k liye Additional days k baare mein bataya hua hai ki aap kaise Turtuk, Siachen Base Camp, Hane, Umling La pass is itinerary mein add kar sakte ho...

Aswini bhai, From Pangong Lake take the route towards Chusul - Tsaga La to reach Hanle. Then from Hanle you can either plan a day visit to Umling La Pass or Hanle to Umling La Pass then by evening to Tso Moriri.
Day-1: Delhi to Srinagar
Day-2: Srinagar to Kargil
Day-3: Kargil to Leh
Day-4: Leh
Day-5: Leh-Siachen-Hunder
Day-6: Hunder-Turtuk-Hunder
Day-7: Hunder to Pangong Tso
Day-8: Pangong to Hanle
Day-9: Hanle-Umlingla-Hanle
Day-10: Hanle to Tso Moriri
Day-11: Tso Moriri to Manali
Day-12: Manali to Delhi
Day-13: Buffer
Bhai I have two suggestions:
Day 5, skip Siachen as it will be very very long
Day 11, Tso Moriri to Manali will be very very long.. consider Tso Kar as night stay the day before and then try.. otherwise you should stay at Jispa

Hi Dheeraj, your explanation day wise is fantastic. I need help, how do I reach you ? Pls advise.
Thank you so much! This would be the best place to talk about the questions.. Place where I am most active
Really Great Informative Video. I have one doubt. If we are group of 6-8 members and we want to rent the bike, then we can not follow this route. We need to return the rented bike to the source which will be Jammu/Patnitop, most probably.
thank you Vipul.. Well you need to rent a bike in Leh as well because outside rented bikes are not allowed for sightseeing in Ladakh
Now there is a new petrol pump at Nyoma
Yes there is now
Hi sir reality informative video. We are from southern part of India. Not used to cold weather but still want to experience at least bit of snow which months are favourable? Please share transport options for this circuit. Thank you so much.

Your hotel should be able to provide one.
Thanks for your guidance. Can you suggest 1-2 good organizers for this trip. Not the cheapest ones not the most expensive or luxurious ones, something good enough. I live in Bangkok and very interested in this trip, but not able to find one.

Good Sir

Any idea when Sri nagar-Leh highway will be open for tourist?
Sometime in April it is expected to open with one way traffic.

I need your suggestions on the following
1. Can we travel to tso moriri directly from Pangong or we need to come back to Leh to acclimitize?
2. And
Can we travel to jispa directly from tso moriri or we need to come to leh to acclimatise?
3. Is it ok if I do pangong to tsomoriri n halt in tso moriri for a night and then tso moriri to jispa?
Please reply asap. I would be grateful
4. Do I need to come to leh each time to acclimatise?
Hello Archana, thanks and here are my inputs:
Thank you for your prompt reply❤
Hello Dheeraj Bhai, We as a Family are planning a trip in April,2025 ,is it the right month to visit? Also kindly add me another details from your side that whether we will get snow in the month of April,2025.

Hello Dheeraj,
Find your videos very helpful. I am planning my first Ladakh trip in mid June. I will be doing road trip from Mumbai. Last year I have done Mumbai to chitkul self drive trip so looking forward to leh. I needed to validate my planned itinerary hence needed help:
I vl start from Delhi here:
Vehicle : 2WD SUV (200mm GC)
Day 1: Delhi to jammu
Day 2: jammu to Srinagar
Day 3 : srinagar to kargil
Day 4 : kargil to leh
Day 5 : leh
Day 6 : leh to turtuk
Day 7 : turtuk-hunder-diksit
Day 8 : diksit to pangong
Day 9 : pangong to leh
Day 10 : leh to hanle
Day 11 : hanle-umling la - leh
Day 12: leh to sarchu
Day 13: sarchu to manali
Does this sound good to you? I don't wanna drive pangong to hanle direct due to fuel issues and road conditions on that route.
I will recommend following plan but you need to carry spare fuel with you for it
Day 11 : hanle-umling la - Tso Moriri (start your day earl)
Day 12: Tso Moriri to sarchu
Day 13: sarchu to manali
If you are worried of petrol/fuel, then you should add one day. It will be very very very long to do Umling La from Hanle and return to Leh. Adding a day will help you like this:
Day 11 : hanle-umling la - Tso Moriri (start your day earl)
Day 12: Tso Moriri to Karu (petrol pump) back to Upshi or Tso Kar lake
Day 13: Upshi or Tso Kar lake to Keylong/Jispa
Day 14: Keylong/Jispa - Chandigarh
@@discoverwithdheeraj thanks for inputs, appreciate it. but route to tso moriri is not tar road right it's mostly dirt road correct , and exit from tso moriri for manali leh highway is also similar right
That is true.
Absolutely, you should add Zanskar Valley as
Kargil - Rangdum
Rangdum - Padum
Padum Local Sightseeing
Padum - Purne - Phuktal monastery - Purne
Purne - Shinku La - Purne - Padum
Padum - Singey (Lingshed) - Sirsir La - Lamayuru
Lamayuru - Leh

Zanskar or Spiti? Which one do you suggest.?
You can do Spiti some other time individually but can complete Ladakh once in these 21 days 😀.. you will not go wrong anyways by choosing either
@@discoverwithdheeraj final question. To zanskar, In this itinerary which day is good. Before kardungla or after hanle. We are planning pangon tso to direct hanle.

After Hanle
Very informative, one clarification: how are the road condition to drive a car. Are there steep/ sharp dangerous turn. I am planning in My June as suggested by u via Jammu Srinagar route
Thank you, Nitin bhai.. well roads have improved a lot in the last few years now.. But yes around the passes there are some steep sections surely. If you drive carefully and cautiously, it shall be OK in general. Check my other videos on self-drive trip to Ladakh.
Thanks Dheeraj, It will be my first self drive trip to hill , want to be very sure to plan.
@nitinchawla6032 all the best brother
Thanks. Now I have below Questions:
1. We should reach Srinagar by 5th of June and will the roads get cleared by then? We are riding from Delhi and I see there is have snowfall and Roads are closed for 2 wheelers.
2. Any alternate plan?
Anuj bhai roads from Srinagar side is open as of now even for bikes for both ways on same day now.. from Manali side they plan to open it from 29 May

Hi Dhiraj bhai, First of all thanks a lot for preparing such videos which really helps to plan your trip at a high level. Considering your suggestions i have planned my trip starting May 21 from Delhi and below mentioned is the itinerary i have prepared so far please suggest if its doable or we need to tweak it: (BTW i am planning to go via my Swift with my wife and 9 year old son)
Day 1 Delhi - Jammu/Patnitop
Day 2 Jammu/Patnitop - Srinagar
Day 3 Srinagar - Kargil
Day 4 Kargil - Leh
Day 5 Rest or local sightseeing in Leh
Day 6 Leh - Nubra Valley via Khardungla
Day 7 Nubra Valley - Pangong Lake
Day 8 Pangong Lake - Hanle via chusul
Day 9 Hanle - TSO Moriri (will try to cover Umlingla if my swift is allowed)
Day 10 TSO moriri - Sarchu
Day 11 Sarchu - Manali
Day 12 Manali - Delhi
It will be really nice if i can talk to you personally, please let me know if its possible.
Dear Sir
Good evening
Me, my wife and 2 children (11 years old daughter & 5 years old son) want to drive to Leh.

Along with leh i wud b including tsomoriri and then getting on to manali leh highway and coming back to manali. How wud you review this route plan?
If padum leh road is not good then it wud waste around 1 day as i wud hv to first come back to kargil on 1st day and then going to leh next day, otherwise i can proceed firstly to padum and then leave for leh without coming back to kargil
I wud b obliged if u wud share your insights 🙏🏻

Chetan, before I suggest anything including Zanskar, I would like to ask if you watched the video above because for 13 days I have already recommended Ladakh only plan.. I see you want to include Tso Moriri as well.. so in order to adjust Zanskar in 13 day plan, what part of Ladakh are you going to give up?
@@discoverwithdheeraj i wud like to skip leh acclimatisation 1 day, as there's nothing there to explore and i have been there once before, i wud b escalating via zanskar so i wont require acclimatisation.
