Personally i prefer IVE's version, it has way more flavor and its more distinct. This ones a bit generic. When i first listened to love dive i thought it was the beat and instrumental that made the song but now i see its def the girls and the lyrics.

@@dddd-vf8zm when it comes to pop, the likelihood of the lyrics ruining the song rather than saving it is way more likely, in my own experience. I do not think everyone is like that though. I just happen to be pretty fussy when it comes to lyrics, and cringe at stuff that sounds cliched to me. I don't see anything particularly profound about "lyrics describing a toxic love/hate relationship with some kind of extended vampire metaphor" for example, but again that's just me. Often listening to k-pop lets me not be bothered by that side as much, so I can just appreciate the sound! And I will say that it would be easier just to learn more Korean than to try to get every k-pop song you like to make an English version.
