Location of the Eastern National garage in Walthamstow, opened May 1986, closed March 1992.

Walthamstow (WW) - the same code as the London Buses garage.
Opened/operational from 24th May 1986.
Located in the council depot in Low Hall Lane, Walthamstow.
It was opened by Eastern National for newly awarded routes.
It took the 20, 167 and 206 from Loughton (L), which closed, and the 275 from Leyton (T).
The initial allocation was Bristol VRT and Leyland Nationals.
The 167 was restricted to Leyland Nationals because of a low bridge and they were the usual allocation on the 206, the 20 was mixed Bristol VRT and National and the 275 was usually Bristol VRT.
The garage at Wharf Road, Ponders End opened on 25th January 1987, this replaced Carterhatch and provided the engineering facilities for Walthamstow.
In 1989 the second stage of the Walthamstow network was introduced on 4th March, new routes W13, W14 and W16 replaced the 206 and 235, although the 235 number was retained for school journeys, the 235, W13 and W14 were awarded to Eastern National and the W16 to London Buses.
16 x MB709D + Reeve Burgess - 0245-0260 were acquired for the W14 and 379 and W9 at Ponders End and 5 x MB811D + Reeve Burgess for the W13 - 0800-0804.
From September the afternoon journey on the 235 moved to Ponders End.
Eastern National was acquired by Badgerline Holdings in April 1990, then the split creating Thamesway took place on 29th July.
In 1991 the W14 was lost to County Bus from 23rd November but the W11 and W12 were gained from London Buses.
In 1992 the withdrawal of the 359 at Ponders End saw the afternoon journey on the 235 move back to Walthamstow from 1st February.
The loss of the 20, 167, 275 and school route 235 to Grey Green from 7th March resulted in Walthamstow closing at the end of traffic on 6th March, the W11, W12 and W13 moved to Ponders End.
