After the first summer of riding at the skate park, and seeing so many others with razor scooters and hardly any actual trick scooters, i developed a plan to promote trick scooters to parents (its easy to get a kid to want a real trick scooter, but they dont buy it). I had to decide a minimum design quality to promote. This was based on parents usually don’t want to spend a lot of money. So i chose a Fuzion or MADD gear $80 scooter as my minimum. They aren’t amazing, but they don’t suck like razors. It’s easy to sell because the wide handlebars make it much safer, the deck doesn’t have a sharp edge, its not rickety, and theres room for both feet, plus it’s designed to be used in a skate park, a razor is not. And i mention theres sales going on all the time around holidays and end of summer. 2 years later, the skate park i go to, has a huge flock of actual trick scooters. Even though i promoted the cheap Fuzion and Madd gear, about half of them have mid-grade or better scooters! We even have a 4 yo riding a Prodigy XS dropping in the 4 foot quarter pipe and airing out! Edit: After watching more of the video, your amazon test scooter is below my minimum because it has that old big nut compression and sharp deck edge. I warn parents to avoid those two things.

Should I as a beginner start on a cheap scooter like that?
