This video highlights the simple install steps of Diode Dynamics LED Tail Light and Backup Bulbs for the 2011-2019 Chevrolet Cruze. Unlike generic LED bulbs, our tail light and backup bulbs are designed and tested here in St. Louis to ensure maximum brightness and reliability.
At 410 lab-proven lumens, our XP50 LED Backup Bulbs for the 2011-2019 Chevrolet Cruze are among the brightest on the market! With these installed, you'll have drastically improved rear-facing visibility, making reversing at night easier and safer.
Providing a whopping 510 test-verified lumens, our XP80 LED Tail Light/Rear Turn Signal LED Bulbs make your 2016-2019 Cruze much easier to spot when braking or turning. And the crisp on/off of the LEDs gives your Cruze a much more modern look.

The father i needed 🙏 ❤
Where do I mount the resistor on the Cruze and Malibu? I got a 2018 Chevy Malibu and I don't have much room for a resistor. Can I extend the resistor wires and mount it behind the bumper or something on metal away from plastic?
How do you remove the inner tail light housing for 2019 Cruze, since mine needs the entire replacement? I removed 1 screw and trying to budge it off but still stuck don’t see any other screws holding the housing though I see a clamp from the side.
Do the the brake/turn signal led requires a load resistor for hyper flashing?
For the turn signal, yes, you'll want to add resistors to slow down the hyperflash. Thanks!
Hey mates I've noticed that your video on the LED headlight bulbs can't be found nor can the bulbs on the website, have you guys stopped making them for this vehicle?
Hi there! Unfortunately, we are no longer offering LED head light replacement bulbs in the US. You can see more information as to why at the link below.

Great video. How about led turn signals??
While we do not currently have a turn signal video, we do offer the bulbs! These are just plug and play replacements, and we have included a link to those below!

Is Installatuon any different on the 18 Cruze LT Hatch? Also where can I find the tools used in this install video?
Hey Joe! We have not confirmed the exact installation process on the Hatch just yet. Sorry about that!
A video on installing load resistors for this Chevy Cruze would be helpful.
Here you go! The process is the same on most vehicles.

Hi! I have a 2017 chevy cruze LT and my high mount brake light is cracked on the corner/not working and water is now leaking into my trunk/backseats. I Have found a seller who's selling the piece my main concern is if you have any idea if it is hard to do yourself? is the wiring a tough job?
I really need to fix this issue ASAP because where I live we are experiencing a ton of rain and im beginning to smell the water/ mildew in my car. Thank you!
Hmmm- we're not sure of this install. We would recommend referencing your owners manual or getting in contact with a Chevy dealership!
ua-cam.com/video/s1Lr2hmxMj8/v-deo.html this might help to fix the issue
Did you end up needing a resistor kit for the tail/turn bulb? The XP80
The backup bulb will not need a resistor. Your blinker bulbs may need a resistor to avoid hyperblink - this is on a vehicle-to-vehicle basis. However, they are inexpensive and simple to install, so we always recommend picking up a pair when switching blinker bulbs to LEDs!
I'm running a LED Turn Signal Light strip and cant determine which is the brake light verse the turn signal. Can you tell me which wire is for the brake lights? better yet, can you just tell me the wire diagram because I swear I cant find it anywhere on the internet for the 2017 Chevy Cruze.

Does the 7443 need led resistors ? Since the brake light and turning signal are the same ?
Yes, we do recommend resistors to prevent hyperflashing.
@@diodedynamics thank you, will it void warranty
@@DemetriusMH We recommend talking to your dealership about this. However, we don't see why this would void your warranty.
Will I need any load resistors if I use these particular bulbs, or can I really just plug 'em in?
If you are replacing the tail light and backup bulbs, you will not need resistors. You may need resistors if you are installing rear turn signals to prevent hyper-blinking!
@@diodedynamics Ok, thanks!
@@diodedynamics Right… but you did install rear turn signal bulbs in this video. The brake light on the Cruze (the outer bulb, the one you did first) is also the turn signal. Did you use a resistor here? If not, did you have the rapid blinking issue?

Hey, is there a link to the 194 HP5 as well?
Hey Kevin - we have included a link below to all of our reverse light options, including the HP5. :)
www.diodedynamics.com/backup-leds-for-2011-2019-chevrolet-cruze-pair.html?
@@diodedynamics I'm a little confused... Do the 91 HP5 reverse lights work as tail running lights? In the video y'all used the 194 HP5.
@@adamhamel9784 No. The running light and reverse lights are both on the trunk lid, but are different bulbs. The running light is a size 194. The reverse light bulb is a size 921. This bulb only comes on when the vehicle is in reverse!
How do I change the 3rd beak light (upper the rear window) for the same model?
Hey there! It looks like the 3rd brake light on these models are LED. So, you will need to replace the inter housing.
@@diodedynamics but any idea on how to uninstall? Thanks for your answer!
@@melomaniac7358 Yes! There are a couple of screws that mount it from inside of the trunk. Then, it can be popped off and unplugged from the inside of the cabin.
Only my running lights are on with headlights on no brake lights on running but turn signal and brake works is that normal?? I added a resistor
Hey Rodny! Are you saying that you no longer have a rear running light when the headlights are on?
@@diodedynamics only the ones that are near the reverse lights are on with the headlights not the lights with the brake and turn signal
@@diodedynamics thank you for replying 🙏

I need some LED for a 2013 Chevy Cruze LS
Which location are you looking to replace with LEDs?
Is the hp5 194 a red or white bulb ???
Hi there! If you are referring to the 194 Backup LED, it is a cool white color!
@@diodedynamics no the 194 inner taillight
The tail light LEDs for a 11-15 Cruze and 2016 Cruze Limited is a size 3157 in red. The tail light LEDs for a 16-19 Cruze is a size 7443 in red. Only your backup bulb will be a size 194.
@@diodedynamics I’m talking about the inner running light the 194 hp5
Like is the inner running taillight 194 hp5 that you installed in the video a red light
