Despite this being slightly complicated (at least I'm sure to a new player) I think this is a cool way to help Duel Links players who played Onomats transition over to the Master Duel format.
It may not be as strong as it was in Duel Links compared to the rest of the format, but it is a very competent deck, and its a great bridge from Duel Links to Master Duel, especially to a player already familiar with the cards
Zexal Construction is an important brick fixer if you happen to draw Double or Nothing or Twin Sabers. In Utopia Invoked it's an additional brick fixer for Invocation LMAO.
As someone who plays this deck in paper and master duel, I like to run Primathmech Alambertian over Gagagaga, which can turn Astraltopia searchable with the Onomat line on the way to making F0
Pretty funny, but I feel like that relies too much on having all 3 Onomat cards in-hand to do so. You still end up with a similar board at least, but it really feels like you're relying too much on having the right hand.
No offense i know this is a really good xyz deck but just for the sake of comparison. If i don't get a single interruption like mbt in this video than my nurse burn deck do it better, faster, cheaper.
As much as the anime protagonists getting an absurd amount of legacy support annoys me, it's nice that these iconic archetypes are all fairly playable.
Very good budget options for sweet extenders that can still finish on Dragner, Leo and Utopic Future very easily: running Granite and/or Force Strix alongside Gigantes and/or Singing Lanius. 3x Utopic Onomatopeia is also way overkill. Having 2 is plenty of them. And, if budget is an issue, running less than 3 Onomatopair is also just fine. I personally run 1 and climbed to Plat 1 with this deck twice already. Also, Xyz Import is fairly nice to have in this as Astraltopia can search it for you. Also, Heart-eartH Dragon is just absolutely hilarious to summon at the end of the opponent's turn with Dragner.
This about 90% of my deck I use only 1 zexal construction, 2 gloves, and 3 imperm(also no max c because i refuse to play it) The extra has tornado dragon instead of the galaxy photon lord guy and utopia the lightning(considering cutting it) with only 1 regular utopia
Also this deck is cheeks going second, not to mention against eldlich, you showed the best case scenario in this vid, it can put up negates like a meta deck, but has too many weak points to ever be meta.

I love Utopia so much. I have a going 2nd build that got me from gold-plat very quick , deck is crazy consistent at OTKing. BTW , I recommend having a copy of Numeron Force just incase you're staring down a big Apo or any other monster negate since it permanently negates the effects of all face-up cards on the field , except the special summoned monster and itself. (Usually go into Ray V , but Victory can work just as fine) Can't wait to build a going first Utopia deck. Remember , Utopia best deck! Also , why no Lighting Blade?
The best thing about this deck is nobody bothers to read the cards so they always play straight into Dragonar's battle effect, Pegasus or Lightning Blade
As someone who has gotten back into Yugioh after almost 10 years through Master Duel. I gotta say: Starting with the Structure Deck and then upgrading to this is a great progression curve for beginners. This video didn't put me on to Utopia, but I wanna thank you all the same, MBT.
I've personally found success with Lightning Blade, since otherwise your back gets majorly blown out by Duster. Also of note, is Number 22: Zombiestein. While he costs a card in your hand, his effect is *literally* Madolche Promenade.
Yes, I have no idea why people don’t use zombiestein. I just feel like people haven’t read him. His discarding cost is easy to fulfill since you usually summon him going first and can use double to get that extra card in your hand.
Interesting to see a take on the Utopia deck to be honest. I've been using one on Master Duel myself, but I make use of Draglubion myself for Numeron Dragon OTKs, but also because of something that's incredibly funny. True King of All Calamities is legal in Master Duel, and Zexal Construction can grab The Phantom Knight's Rank-Up-Magic Launch, which can be chained to Draglubion after it detaches the Hyper RUM attached to it. And with the right Onomat setup I can end on Dragonar, Utopic Drago Future, Titanic Galaxy, and All Calamities. It's really, really funny.
@@BramLastname I'm f2p, it is really easy to get a competent legal deck, you can in fact get multiple easily by just grinding the single player for a bit. The exact list Joseph is using in this Video is achievable basically at game start after a few minutes of grind. I myself play pendulum magician and I got all cards for that + a code talker deck bc I like it on the first day with ease. The reason people play the self otk deck is because if you loose in 1min you get more rewards per minute than if you win in 3min.

So I picked up master duel after not playing since GX, but watching a lot of stuff on the UA-cams. This was the first meta deck my discount Dragonmaid thing ran into and his end board had like 3 novels of card text that I had to read. It was fun.
i used this deck to climb up to plat but I have some corrections upon playing hundreds of matches with it.... ditch armed sage and tornado bringer... i add cards like zephyros the elite, foolish burial, droplets, skip the 3 ash and play nibiru, I also play chaos dragon levianeer cus if all of my plays backfire I can still summon levianeer which is an instant 3k board wipe monster ditch the number counter... I play 1 shade brigadine since it’s a lvl 4 extender
MBT, as a Utopia Player since day 1, I'd like to say Onomato pick up is good and does work with ascend sage. You just want Ascend sage to be summoned first, followed by Onomato pick up's effect.

Used a deck very similar to this one and I think I lost a grand total of once the entire festival. I finished out with over 4000 medals I'm pretty sure I haven't seen anyone else do this but I added the field spell Onomatopia. It's not the best if you don't get it at the start, but you can search it with Onomatopickup or Astraltopia, and it's counter effect can give your monsters tons of extra attacks if you do long Utopia summon combos. Pretty nice if you manage to have it by then
I think the deck would benefit from some of the other ZWs. Since Ultimate Leo is considered C39, it can go into weapons like DZW Chimera Clad, ZW Lightning Blade, and/or ZW Asura Strike. DZW gives battle immunity and it can allow Leo to ram into bigger monsters then drop their atk to 0 and then attack them again. Usually the attack drop is less relevant, but its good for keeping Leo alive and does deal with people increasing their stats unexpectedly since it will only lead to more damage for them. Lightning Blade makes all the weapons indestructible which is nice if they try and blow them up before starting their monster plays to fully weaken Ultimate Leo. It also provides one layer of protection from effect destruction to the equipped monster. ZW Asura Strike allows for attacks on all opponent monsters. With the attack values one Ultimate leo can reach with the different ZW that exist, Asura Strike can lead to some massive damage and a monster board wipe. The extra ZWs might make it a bit bricky to include some or all of these, but they are cards to consider since they are pretty powerful overall (albeit Asura being a bit more situational than the other two). You only need one of each though so one or two cards might not be that bad.
I will also throw out that Time Thief Perpetua isn't a bad rank 4 with a Time Thief Bezel Ship. Cutting Gagagaga Magician is optimal, even if you aren't going to use the extra summon or put the Bezel Ship on anything that can use it. It just adds a card that you either cut a card from you deck to add or just run a 41 card deck and run the above deck with Bezel. Even if it does show up in hand, it can be used as a normal or a discard and still get advantage from it later since Bezel just requires a material detach to summon itself. Its better when you can just add it to one of Dragonar's summons (Ultimate Leo) to give him another material for next turn or use Bezel that turn and then have it detach the rank up to summon itself. With an onomatoparia and one or two other monsters in hand, you can turn out (at best) Dragonar, Ultimate Leo, Utopic Draco Future AND Abyss Dweller on its own. Other things are icing on the cake, but Perpetua is definitely worth considering.
MTG first turn : "I'll play a land and pass the turn" Pokemon first turn : "I'll attach an energy and pass the turn" Yu-Gi-Oh first turn : *insert incessant screaming as you keep slamming cards against an empty board*
Really surprised I haven't seen this at all during XYZ Festival. Everyone seems to be on PK and Zoo for XYZ decks and this seems to feel a lot better than those
Yeah, I’ll stick to my own Utopia Grab Bag Style deck, thank you very much. Depending on the opening hand, I’m either summoning a single Leo Utopia Ray with 3-4 different ZWs with loads of protection, or 5 different Utopias with various attack boosts and disruption methods. Xyz Change Tactics and Zexal Construction are always at 3, no exceptions, because with the amount of Xyz Summon the deck does, it means a lot of cards drawn, and Garnets are a non-issue and are instead a free search. Xyz Change Tactics makes meeting the 2000 LP deficiency condition for a lot of Zexal cards super easy, and you’re likely to draw the single copy of Numbers protection because of it. I am not exaggerating when I say that I will draw half of my deck on my first turn if the stars align just right. Plus, even if the board does get broken, I have options like Ray V and Victory as great fallbacks.
I swear I fought this deck, but the guy also used a combo to summon the DDD monster that negates all effects... So I ended up summoning bagooska in defense, waited a turn made zeus and went full madolche combo and won
You can xyz construct search rank up magic launch and summon Kaliyuga using big eye or any rank 7 exceed monster you get out with Dragonar. It’s so free. It’s been an auto win most scenarios I use it.
Not only does the structure deck not actually give you a lot of the deck, it does lock some of the R rarity cards exclusively to it, so you have to buy three anyway.
oh that's funny I face that deck today, was a bit scarry, especially since I wasn't sure what each card does, but then my opponant used utopic draco on my danger so I felt okay
I'm working on a utopia shark build, the advantages are that sharks are way cheaper than onomats, bahamut shark is excellent nibiru protection and udf material, white mirror and xyz remora are insane, and you can it make either as compact or as consistent as you want. Still haven't completely figured out the ratios and the extra deck so if anyone else has tried the variant I'd appreciate the feedback.
I played a guy who used a very similar deck, excpet he used dragonar to summon diabolos the mind hacker, banish my zeus, then proceed to use phantom knights rank up to make d/d/d kali yuga and ruij my day.
Is there a good searchable trap beside Numbers protection in case i draw it ? Like, a good one that can make my cards unaffected by card effects or something.
I play a little different build, for example I don't run prime and galaxy Lord, I run king overfiend with djinn buster (zexal field combo, basically one sided skill drain), instead of utopic sage I run tornado dragon. Main deck I tweaked a bit but mainly because of different match ups and stuff, still testing what I like the most. Also lightning blade is really good and helpful with protecting your twin saber + monster from a destruction, I search it more often with armed sage than tornado bringer, cuz when I'm done with the combo, targeting doesn't really matter at that point. Better to have protection from lightning storm or something after passing turn to opponent.
I run a purely utopia deck. with monks astrals and the sages and zws. It works really really well. you can set up 3 negations and 4 if you can get numbers protection.
yep, i met somebody yesterday that used this exact same deck and end board i just ended my turn and let him otk me next turn since i couldnt do anything to break it with photon lol
I made a cheaper utopia version with having 3 utopia structure but it’s mostly a zexal field c39 king overfiend turbo lock (basically vfd for monster effects). With the battle protection of 99 and harbinger, I could cheese games going first and going second I just use board breakers.
Guys, 3 rank up zexal force, go into Ultimate Dragonic Utopia, equip ZW lightning blade….. none of your opponents are going to read its effect and are going to try and twin twister your equips, and they don’t understand why NOTHING happens. Zw-eagle claw if you are going up against trap decks Tornado bringer Pegasus If you can use a rank up spell, but don’t have any method of equipping a ZW monster, instead of Dragonic, rank-up into Ultimate Leo and just use his effect. 3x structure decks and any goodstuffs that you might already have will be plenty. I’ve been playing so much Utopia lately it’s so fun. Personally I don’t love your specific list, I think zexal force, as well as more onomat cards like the dododo package (dodododraw, witch, etc) are highly underrated. To me the deck can be good as a going second deck trying to OTK with Utopia double, or a going first deck that builds multiple negates.
A simple going 2nd strategy for me is always pull victory and asura when opponent have big boards. It's an ez win lmao since they can't respond to victory with spells/traps + it can negate the monster effects. Ray victory gets boosted twice and swings all the monsters. Plus if you have utopia on field you can double that amount, it's so funny.
People are playing less than 3 astraltopia? It's hands down best main deck monster. You can open 4 garnets and you will be able to make two negates as long as you have astraltopia as 5th card.
I built the deck and I've noticed 2 things while playing it 1. The deck hard loses to basically any trap card especially if you don't have numbers protection and 2. Actually playing the double or nothing has come up a lot more than I thought it would
Consider running Lancelot as a Dragner target. For the purposes of protecting your board against a going-second bomb like Evenly Matched or anything along those lines, he can situationally be a better Hope Dragon, especially if you can just OTK on the backswing either way.

I play hope in my grass deck, the attack redirect has come up a few times, mainly cause I have appolousa or ip on board and try to attack. Only to be blocked by the titanic hope.

I'm just waiting for the fusion and synchro festivals. Got Lunalight Tri-Brigade and some Yusei Stardust-Synchron abominations to mess with. Haven't really invested (as in F2P investment) in any XYZ decks so this isn't my time yet.
Man I had this deck built long before your video mbt keep up scrub lmao. In all seriousness though it's a pretty decent deck that can make some good boards. I've had a lot of fun using it today to wash people, your build is literally the same as mine besides the fact that I only play 2 maxx c and play 2 copies of the trap. The trap has singlehandedly won me games so I like to play 2.
I want to personally thank you MBT, for introducing this idea to many people who fell prey to MY cheap Arse Deck believing that a 10 k Beatstick could beat a Destiny Hero defender after rise to Full height into D2 shield, over A mirror wall and reverse glasses with Cross counter. An inconsistent yet simple and effective combo that gave me Easy losses or Wins for the event. Whever i see the convoluted combos i just straight up summon in attack for them to take the W. But ive ran into this deck quite a few times with them Leaving beffuddled after their Utopias went from Heros to Zeros thanks to Ghosts of a Grudge/ Reverse glasses.

Small tip for budget players; the shark engine works as an okay alternative to onomat if you don't have the gems.

Lightning Blade makes all the weapons indestructible which is nice if they try and blow them up before starting their monster plays to fully weaken Ultimate Leo. It also provides one layer of protection from effect destruction to the equipped monster.
ZW Asura Strike allows for attacks on all opponent monsters. With the attack values one Ultimate leo can reach with the different ZW that exist, Asura Strike can lead to some massive damage and a monster board wipe.
The extra ZWs might make it a bit bricky to include some or all of these, but they are cards to consider since they are pretty powerful overall (albeit Asura being a bit more situational than the other two). You only need one of each though so one or two cards might not be that bad.
I will also throw out that Time Thief Perpetua isn't a bad rank 4 with a Time Thief Bezel Ship. Cutting Gagagaga Magician is optimal, even if you aren't going to use the extra summon or put the Bezel Ship on anything that can use it. It just adds a card that you either cut a card from you deck to add or just run a 41 card deck and run the above deck with Bezel. Even if it does show up in hand, it can be used as a normal or a discard and still get advantage from it later since Bezel just requires a material detach to summon itself. Its better when you can just add it to one of Dragonar's summons (Ultimate Leo) to give him another material for next turn or use Bezel that turn and then have it detach the rank up to summon itself. With an onomatoparia and one or two other monsters in hand, you can turn out (at best) Dragonar, Ultimate Leo, Utopic Draco Future AND Abyss Dweller on its own. Other things are icing on the cake, but Perpetua is definitely worth considering.

I play this same deck more or less for the Festival, just without Hope Galaxy and it still owns.

Really surprised I haven't seen this at all during XYZ Festival. Everyone seems to be on PK and Zoo for XYZ decks and this seems to feel a lot better than those

Yeah, I’ll stick to my own Utopia Grab Bag Style deck, thank you very much. Depending on the opening hand, I’m either summoning a single Leo Utopia Ray with 3-4 different ZWs with loads of protection, or 5 different Utopias with various attack boosts and disruption methods. Xyz Change Tactics and Zexal Construction are always at 3, no exceptions, because with the amount of Xyz Summon the deck does, it means a lot of cards drawn, and Garnets are a non-issue and are instead a free search. Xyz Change Tactics makes meeting the 2000 LP deficiency condition for a lot of Zexal cards super easy, and you’re likely to draw the single copy of Numbers protection because of it. I am not exaggerating when I say that I will draw half of my deck on my first turn if the stars align just right. Plus, even if the board does get broken, I have options like Ray V and Victory as great fallbacks.

I swear I fought this deck, but the guy also used a combo to summon the DDD monster that negates all effects... So I ended up summoning bagooska in defense, waited a turn made zeus and went full madolche combo and won
You can xyz construct search rank up magic launch and summon Kaliyuga using big eye or any rank 7 exceed monster you get out with Dragonar. It’s so free. It’s been an auto win most scenarios I use it.

Not only does the structure deck not actually give you a lot of the deck, it does lock some of the R rarity cards exclusively to it, so you have to buy three anyway.
Been playing this for awhile and it’s so good, get a dead hand here and there but otherwise quite consistent
oh that's funny I face that deck today, was a bit scarry, especially since I wasn't sure what each card does, but then my opponant used utopic draco on my danger so I felt okay
I had so much fun after crafting this. Dragoner for bagooska to dodge lightning storm is really something :D
I'm working on a utopia shark build, the advantages are that sharks are way cheaper than onomats, bahamut shark is excellent nibiru protection and udf material, white mirror and xyz remora are insane, and you can it make either as compact or as consistent as you want.
Still haven't completely figured out the ratios and the extra deck so if anyone else has tried the variant I'd appreciate the feedback.

I played a guy who used a very similar deck, excpet he used dragonar to summon diabolos the mind hacker, banish my zeus, then proceed to use phantom knights rank up to make d/d/d kali yuga and ruij my day.
Is there a good searchable trap beside Numbers protection in case i draw it ? Like, a good one that can make my cards unaffected by card effects or something.

generation force can also search xyz change tactics, if you wanted to do more trolling, there's xyz import which steals your opponents monster.
I play a little different build, for example I don't run prime and galaxy Lord, I run king overfiend with djinn buster (zexal field combo, basically one sided skill drain), instead of utopic sage I run tornado dragon. Main deck I tweaked a bit but mainly because of different match ups and stuff, still testing what I like the most. Also lightning blade is really good and helpful with protecting your twin saber + monster from a destruction, I search it more often with armed sage than tornado bringer, cuz when I'm done with the combo, targeting doesn't really matter at that point. Better to have protection from lightning storm or something after passing turn to opponent.
I run a purely utopia deck. with monks astrals and the sages and zws. It works really really well. you can set up 3 negations and 4 if you can get numbers protection.

I made a cheaper utopia version with having 3 utopia structure but it’s mostly a zexal field c39 king overfiend turbo lock (basically vfd for monster effects). With the battle protection of 99 and harbinger, I could cheese games going first and going second I just use board breakers.
The steam achievement only requires a 5 chain but sure, go off king
Guys, 3 rank up zexal force, go into Ultimate Dragonic Utopia, equip ZW lightning blade….. none of your opponents are going to read its effect and are going to try and twin twister your equips, and they don’t understand why NOTHING happens.

I’ve been playing so much Utopia lately it’s so fun. Personally I don’t love your specific list, I think zexal force, as well as more onomat cards like the dododo package (dodododraw, witch, etc) are highly underrated. To me the deck can be good as a going second deck trying to OTK with Utopia double, or a going first deck that builds multiple negates.
Also if you play more onomats, the field spell becomes insane since you can perform multiple specials from deck.
A simple going 2nd strategy for me is always pull victory and asura when opponent have big boards. It's an ez win lmao since they can't respond to victory with spells/traps + it can negate the monster effects. Ray victory gets boosted twice and swings all the monsters. Plus if you have utopia on field you can double that amount, it's so funny.

People are playing less than 3 astraltopia? It's hands down best main deck monster. You can open 4 garnets and you will be able to make two negates as long as you have astraltopia as 5th card.

I built the deck and I've noticed 2 things while playing it 1. The deck hard loses to basically any trap card especially if you don't have numbers protection and 2. Actually playing the double or nothing has come up a lot more than I thought it would
Consider running Lancelot as a Dragner target. For the purposes of protecting your board against a going-second bomb like Evenly Matched or anything along those lines, he can situationally be a better Hope Dragon, especially if you can just OTK on the backswing either way.

I play hope in my grass deck, the attack redirect has come up a few times, mainly cause I have appolousa or ip on board and try to attack. Only to be blocked by the titanic hope.

I'm just waiting for the fusion and synchro festivals. Got Lunalight Tri-Brigade and some Yusei Stardust-Synchron abominations to mess with. Haven't really invested (as in F2P investment) in any XYZ decks so this isn't my time yet.

I've had a lot of fun using it today to wash people, your build is literally the same as mine besides the fact that I only play 2 maxx c and play 2 copies of the trap. The trap has singlehandedly won me games so I like to play 2.
I want to personally thank you MBT, for introducing this idea to many people who fell prey to MY cheap Arse Deck believing that a 10 k Beatstick could beat a Destiny Hero defender after rise to Full height into D2 shield, over A mirror wall and reverse glasses with Cross counter.
An inconsistent yet simple and effective combo that gave me Easy losses or Wins for the event.
Whever i see the convoluted combos i just straight up summon in attack for them to take the W.
But ive ran into this deck quite a few times with them Leaving beffuddled after their Utopias went from Heros to Zeros thanks to Ghosts of a Grudge/ Reverse glasses.
